It's a best bridge to cross from Canada to US specially for Canadian citizens. This is the less busy and less strick bridge as compared to rainbow 🌈 bridge Niagara falls because Niagara falls is the tourist attractions and that's why that border service checking is too way strick

The Peace Bridge span the Niagara River connecting the United States to our neighbor to the north, Canada. Since crossing the bridge means that you are entering a different country, you will need to have your passport (or passport card) with you. The lines at customs, especially the return to the U.S. side has been getting longer. Rumor has it, the increased wait time is due to the relocation of CBP agents to the Southern border. As many of stated, at least when you're stuck on the bridge, you get a nice view of the river and Buffalo.

While coming back to Canada, there were 15 counters open so despite huge line up of cars, it only took 15-20 mins to clear the customs and border services. Very professional and kind CBSA staff. I wish while going to the US, the US also opens more counters so people dont have to wait for hours to enter United States.

I crossed the border from the USA to Canada with a European passport, and I had no problem. I had the corresponding permissions from each country ETA for Canada and ESTA for the USA, I imagine that this already appears in the system because at no time did they request it. Waiting time to cross varies from day to day, I had more than 1 hour to re-enter the USA, and Canada about 20 min.

Had a bit of a rough ride at the border - constant long lines and sneaky lane switchers trying to get ahead! Waited a solid 40 mins just to cross the bridge. But, hey, it's all worth it to be back home! 🍁 Kudos to the Canadian border officers, they appear more friendly than their US colleagues!

Coming back from Buffalo into Canada. They pulled us over and searched our vehicle. They were so rude about it acting like we were some kind of criminals. They searched our vehicle from top to bottom taking apart our golf bags. Looking through every nook and cranny they didn't find anything. They went back inside and left the sitting on the sidewalk without explanation for 45 minutes before they came out. Handed us our passports back and told us to get on the way. Absolutely ridiculous the way they treated us.

Apparently no one really wants this unattractive job. Half the lanes were closed. Added 40 minutes to our trip. Then you get the luck of the draw for the agent. I think most are super nice, but you always remember the surly nitpicking one! I travel a lot and the extreme measures taken by the USA do nothing to make me feel safer and I doubt there is any evidence that they actually do make us safer

Busy as always. They open up more check points usually than Rainbow Bridge so traffic usually moves a bit faster. Friendly officers and good guidance. Toll was CAD 10.75/USD 8 (info as on May, 2023) for vehicles entering 🇨🇦 from 🇺🇸.

Best to go at off peak hours. Entered the U.S. at 11pm and there were no cars at all. On the way back to enter Canada we were there at 8am and there were about 8 cars in front of us and it took about 25 minutes. Once you enter Canada you have to pay a toll. I think it was $8 USD or $10 CDN.

When heading towards Canada destination would be Toronto Ontario heading from Buffalo we crossed Peace bridge from the United States. It was nighttime traveling when we reached US and Canada borders guards and customs officers were friendly and professional both sides of check points. Very crowded with traffic but it was moving a long. Been years since last visited Canada overall it was a pleasant experience.

I love niagara falls ♥️ it's my happy place , so many places to see and things to do . My favourite spot is Niagara-on-the-lake and village of chippewa just sitting watching the water .

Very confusing for pedestrians. The Peace Bridge website says when you get to the Canadian side the inspection is in a room, but you actually have to cross traffic and cut off cars waiting in line, and go through a car lane on foot to get inspected by customs. very bizarre.

Can't give a great rating here, as our Thanksgiving travel was interrupted by a fiery crash and border closing at Peace Bridge. The worst part was that between emergency radio, the US and Canadian border websites, and Google we could not get a clear picture of which bridges, roads, and checkpoints were closed and which were open, further delaying our plans. In the end, i must say that the border checkpoint was super efficient, even with the family doggo.

This a wonderful bridge connecting the two great nations of Canada and the United States from Buffalo NY and Fort Erie Ontario. It was built between 1925 and 1927 so it's got a classic steel truss look to it. It can be extremely busy during peak crossing times so it's best to cross during non peak hours. It also looks wicked cool at night with its decorative lighting. There is a toll to enter Canada so have you're wallet or purse ready!

The Canadian side is mostly queued up and slow to process. The American side is quick and efficient. Thankfully the officers on both side are warm and friendly

Terrible wait time for i94. We were here for Nexus interview. The wait time for i94 is longer than the interview itself! The officer at the border was quite rude and was yelling at us because we accidentally crossed the lane before the lane was clear, following the car in front of us. The officer at the counter is nice for i94 but they can definitely improve it. Why can't you process i94 at the booth?

We always take this bridge back to Toronto from Buffalo, as we’re usually in the downtown area and it’s faster than driving to the other bridges. Never have an issue here. The duty free has bathrooms that are on the side of the building.

Always exciting going on a vacation, always good to be coming home. Today was the latter and I”m sleeping in my own bed tonight for,the fist time in almost 3 weeks. The Peace Bridge is generally a very smooth, fast process to cross in either direction. Just getting too expensive at the toll booth.

It’s been awhile since crossing here, but last night was interesting, having returned from a Garth Brooks concert. Wait times are not good, but I think there is no other fault than they Arrive Can app, which, despite advertising and lots of warning, a lot of people are forgetting to do.

The Peace Bridge is an architectural marvel that spans the River Foyle in Derry, Northern Ireland. Completed in 2011, it is a stunning structure with a sleek and modern design. The bridge is not just a functional structure, but also a beautiful work of art that has become a symbol of peace and reconciliation in the region. Walking across the Peace Bridge is a unique experience, as it offers incredible views of the surrounding area and the river below. The bridge is also accessible for cyclists and has become a popular route for bike rides in the area. It is a must-visit attraction for anyone visiting Derry, and is a testament to the power of architecture to bring people together and promote peace. Overall, the Peace Bridge is an impressive achievement and a true landmark of Northern Ireland.

We crossed peace bridge December 29 to go to USA and back our way on January 1. Didn’t take that long for us to cross. Not that busy how someone say it takes 3-4 hours to cross. Maximum half an hour we spent there for whole process.

We flew into Buffalo airport and drove to Canada via the Peace Bridge. We got out and went into the store right before crossing into Canada. We were going to exchange currency there but they had a currency exchange fee. They use language that is confusing making you think they don’t have any fees but they do. The fee is on the exchange rate. We ended up getting cash from a Canadian ATM with absolutely no fees (this was because of the bank we use in the US) Crossing at the boarder was fast and easy. We had filled out the form and uploaded our documents to the Canadian website 3 days before traveling) ***PLEASE NOTE THE CANADIAN WEBSITE IS FREE***IF YOU ARE ASKED FOR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION YOU ARE ON THE WRONG SITE** We were asked a couple of questions by border police and then we were off and into CANADA headed to Niagara Falls as our first stop. The peace bridge was fast and easy access to Canada.

It's a beautiful view. Just make sure you fill out your ArriveCAN BEFORE coming back to Canada or the officers are not going to like you very much. Only 1 in 10 ppl have been filling them out and it is causing insane delays. Do it the night before!

  • 4/5 Gabriel G. 1 year ago on Google
Don't know how you are supposed to rate a border crossing / entry control point. The lines were long getting into Canada, waited about about 80 minutes for a 3 minute screening. On our return to the U.S. it was faster since we were there around 7 in the morning, but still took about thirty minutes of waiting. Over all, its a border crossing so you are going to wait, not much to do about that.

Usually pretty easy to go and come. I've been dating someone across the border going on 4 years. Since the pandemic the lines have been a bit shorter. Most officers I have been in contact have been great and fairly easy going. Out of 4 years I've only had a handful of officers that were a bit of a nuisance.

Wanted to see Canada since the border opened back up after covid. I was nervous about it and the only car there about 10 am on a Friday in the fall. Going from US to Canada, the border guy wasn't rude at all, just asking questions, doing his job. I appreciate it. Didn't expect that 8 dollar fee though, so beware.

Today, March 6 2023 at 3:30 pm, my wife and I crossed into Canada over Peace Bridge. We crossed here many times in the last five years since relocating to Canada and the collectors have been polite and courteous. However, as we stopped at the payment booth today, the man in the booth made a comment about our EV car. While holding our change in his hand, he went on a rant about how our car will explode in fire, killing us as “woke” people. And something to the affect, that this is what “woke” people deserve. He mentioned Star Wars and Darth Vader and blowing up in space. This tirade continued far too long before handing us our change, and we finally drove on. It certainly was a very unpleasant experience!

Hard to say you love a border crossing as it can be a stressful experience for some but I have always enjoyed crossing over the peace bridge. Long waits are not typical here. Duty free has many great items to choose from and this border crossing provides quick access to great shopping just south of the Niagara region in Canada

The Peace Bridge is an architectural marvel that beautifully connects two nations, symbolizing unity and harmony. Standing on its pedestrian walkway, you’re treated to breathtaking views of the tranquil waters below, while the bridge’s elegant design is a sight to behold. The structure’s unique and contemporary style blends seamlessly with its surroundings, making it a must-visit for both locals and tourists. Whether you’re crossing on foot or simply admiring from a distance, the Peace Bridge leaves you with a sense of awe and a reminder of the importance of peaceful coexistence. Truly an unforgettable experience!

Our preferred bridge/entry point to go through US Canada Border. Pay attention to the signs as there are dedicated lanes for cars or vehicles with trailers, RVs, etc. The duty-free shops are great as well!

Lines weren’t terrible but the officer gave me a hard time getting through. I showed him my proof a residency and he still sent me to be searched. I handed the searching officer the slip that the 1st officer gave me and he said “so you don’t have proof of residency?” so I showed him my proof and he said “did you show this to the officer at the gate?” I said “yes” he shook his head and said “OMG, well ok, hop out the car”.. SMH! Unfortunately after a 30 min search of my vehicle and 2 body searches, I had a clip from a gun I no longer own that was under the seat. Long story short, I’m now flagged and have to be searched every time I cross the border. Why would the first moron put down that I did not have proof of residency? I get they have a job to do but I felt targeted in line with everyone else before us he sent to get searched. Luckily outside of that, my Toronto trip has been amazing but IDK if I’m coming back after that experience at the border.

Great bridge to cross in Canada. Dont ask for a stamp for the kids in their passport. They took more time explaining that is takes too much time to do it than it would've taken to actually do it. no big deal. Border agents were friendly and do an amazing job keeping everyone moving and safe
