UPDATE 11 August 2023: New location! Dine in! Great vegan options! I have made the journey all the way across the country from Loyang twice already since they opened on 4 August and the kitchen continues to make magic Tasty and healthy dishes to enjoy again and again yum There was almost a full house today which is a testament to the great food and service So happy Botanict is back! ๐Ÿ˜€ MY OLD REVIEW FROM THE TAMPINES DAYS OF PAST CULINARY BLISS: Ok, for vegans - the available options are delicious! I just had the Curry Cutlet baked rice - featuring vegan cheese and very tasty rice, broccoli and mock chicken cutlet - they were very generous with the cheese - which could explain why it is pricey at $14.50. My wife had the Nasi Ayam Penyat, also delicious and less pricy at $10.90. You can see these in the photos below. Our first time there today - we expected a regular sit down restaurant but now it is a take away or delivery place only. No big deal as you can take away and eat at the many available tables at the mall. Once you manage to order on the apps etc. which takes a bit of patience but once the food is on the table itโ€™s all worth it ๐Ÿ˜€ If it was a regular restaurant, it would get 5 stars.

Love their food. They have some one the most creative dishes for vegetarian menu. Do try their home make boneless chicken and otah. Their staff is also very friendly and helpful. This location is abit inaccessible and maybe difficult to find for first time visitor. I will come for subsequent visit to try their Other food.

Newly opened in Bukit Batok. Clean and spacious. Wide selection of dishes on the extensive menu. Love the local, Indonesian and Peranakan selections. You might not even guess that this is a vegetarian restaurant! Lovely to have this option in the neighbourhood! Prices are a little high, but vegetarian places usually charge more anyway. And with inflation, this is gonna be the norm.

Do call their direct line if you donโ€™t get updates from their website after you have placed your orders. Food is good and Iโ€™m glad thereโ€™s vegan options. My orders took about 1 hour to arrive. Here I ordered Truffle Omni Porridge and Teriyaki Fish with Brown Quinoa Rice. Delivery fee was $8 to reach my place.

Delicious Fried Food and Nonya Dishes! It's a pity that they no longer have a physical restaurant and only do delivery & take away.

Plenty of seating in the evening. Orh luak was a big portion though the starch is too thick and gooey for my preference. Sesame oil chicken porridge was tasty and chicken shreds are actually king oyster mushroom shredded. Would have preferred more ingredients or some greens in it for the price. Dumplings were okay. Double cheese burger was serious no-go. It was dry and basically defrosted frozen patties, cold cheese slices on dry bread. Very inedible. 10% discount off total prices. Food was a tad bit too salty even for someone with a heavier palette like mine. Porridge makes it worth a visit if you are in the area.

Formerly known as Yuan Bistro, then rebranded as Botanict. They have shifted several locations - from CT Hub, to Tampines Mart Cloud Kitchen, and now currently in the Bukit Batok heartlands (9 min walk from Bukit Batok MRT). What remains constant is the lady boss' dedication to preparing unique and tasty allium-free vegetarian food! Apart from more conventional Chinese dishes, they also serve Western, Nyonya, and Indonesian dishes. The menu is pretty vegan-friendly, and dishes containing cheese (baked rice, pizza) can apparently be veganised with HerbYvore cheese. Had some of their signature items such as Homemade Spicy Otah and Boneless Chicken that I used to enjoy at their previous locations, as well as a new CNY 2024 edition of their Indonesian Nasi Tumpeng. Although the new location in the West is out of way for me, the great taste and creative dishes are appealing enough that I would be keen to return to try more of their menu!

Got hotpot, got the fish soup with milk base which was tasty and strong (but quantity is not large and every top up is $3). Had a good selection of vege ingredients, all were nice and cooked well, except for the lotus root which was taking too long. Lion mane mushroom satay was good too, sauce only mildly spicy. Overall would recommend

๐ŸŒฑ Unearthed a Veggie Paradise in Bukit Batok! ๐Ÿฝ๏ธ Nestled in Bukit Batok, "Botanict" is a haven for plant-based food lovers. ๐ŸŒฟ Their menu boasts a delightful blend of Nyonya, Indonesian, and Western vegetarian dishes. The real standouts? The Botanict Signature Ayam Penyet, Teriyaki Fish Rice Bowl, and Oyster Omelette โ€“ trust me, they're nothing short of delicious. ๐Ÿคค But it's not just the food that shines here. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a relaxed, enjoyable meal. ๐Ÿกโœจ If you're in the area or even if you're not, Botanict is an absolute must-visit for those seeking mouthwatering plant-based cuisine. Let's spread the word about this fantastic find! ๐Ÿฅ—๐Ÿ› #BukitBatokEats #VegetarianDelights #BotanictRestaurant #GoogleMapsReview ๐Ÿ“ท

Since the closure of their outlet at CT Hub, this is our first time visiting. Huge variety of Chinese, peranakan, Korean, and western food. Really can satisfy all your cravings. Savoury & tasty food. The crispy Ork Lua really amazed us. Definitely will go back to try other dishes. Only con is the place really get really crowded and a noisy group diners might turn you off little bit. Nonetheless their food is awesome.

Wonderful, well-crafted and balanced food! Had the eggless omelette, which was similar in texture to an oyster omelette and was held together by well-fried tofu. Also had the sambal stingray. Both dishes had great texture and were accompanied by good chili.

Nice food. A bit on the exp side. Tried the boneless chicken( 3rd time). This time it was cooked to succulent. Juicy but the king oyster mushroom may be a bit hard for some to chew thru.

Authentic Nyonya cuisine. Tried the following and it tasted great! Ayam Penyet = best match with their sambal chilli. Only available from Thursday till Sunday. Grilled Stingray = made of beancurd with sambal chilli. Texture is similar to real meat and itโ€™s a dish that most diners will select. Oyster Omelette = crispy finishing with mushroom filling. One of their best selling side dish ! Servings for each dish is considered big and price wise is slightly above average for neighbourhood dining.

I came to Botanict on 6/8/2023 at 7.20pm. I ordered my food at 7.28pm. At 8.03pm, I was told that the food and rice is running out and I need to change my order. Upon changing my order I am informed again that the item has ran out. The staff suggested to change again to another order (3rd time) or just cancel my food order and pay for the drinks. The shop is severely understaffed and the waiting time for the food is unreasonable almost an hour. Some of the other people who came later than us have received their food while same came earlier were still waiting. I only received my food at 8.23pm. The noodles are extremely hard like it has not been cooked, there is no gravy when it is suppose to be Nyonya curry noodles. This just tastes like uncooked maggie noodles. Please ensure you have enough food supply and you are well staffed before opening a shop.

Reasonable prices, delicious food, and authentic and unpretentious cafe. No queue during a weekday night. The food is enjoyed even by friends who usually don't eat vegetarian. Pumpkin rendang and the sweet & sour lion's mane rendang were our favourite dishes. Cereal tofu comes off bit too milky for our personal preference, and the texture of the tofu is QQ similar to fish cake, which some peeps will like but others won't! The fried boneless "chicken" mushroom is so yummy as well. Though abit too chewy as it's really mushroom after all. Casual atmosphere. Nice to come for a catch-up with friends.

Really lovely, locally owned, plant based restaurant. Candra and her husband make everything themselves from scratch and it really shows in the quality and tastiness of the food! They also have island wide delivery for those who donโ€™t stay nearby but have cravings for tasty vegan food. Highly recommended!!

Great find modern vegeterian cafe at Bukit Batok. The founders possess decades of rich experience in vegetarian culinary skills, a must try for people on vegetarian diet, anyone looking for meatless or healthier diet option;)

Ordered online, which was painless through the app and went for self pickup at the Cloud Kitchen, Tampines Mart. The cloud kitchen located on 2nd floor isn't a terribly salubrious place to wait for food, and our order was a little delayed. The ayam penyet was a little dry and salty which was disappointing, given the (relatively) high expectations and slightly higher price. The curry cutlet rice was better, but not outstanding, either.

  • 5/5 Hans S. 2 years ago on Google
Another good plant-based food restaurant. It is a cloud kitchen and currently they're having 20% off their menu if you order from their QR code (not the centralised kitchen QR code). Ordered their truffle ramen and oyster omelette. Both are great and I love the noodle texture of the truffle ramen which is al dente. They replace the oyster and the meat with mushrooms and their ingredients tasted fresh

Very interesting mala menu here! Tried out the mala boneless chicken (deep fried king oyster mushroom), mala chicken slice (abalone mushroom) porridge. Though the mala taste is not exactly authentic, the fusion of flavour and texture made the chicken slice mala porridge and boneless chicken extremely enjoyable and unique!

Highly recommended for this menu. The base of the rice is good and the rest of ingredients are healthy. In fact, the portion is reasonable.

Tom yum ban mian was nice - not too spicy. The high price of the Oyster omelette was a let down - oyster replaced with straw mushrooms Vinegar Dumplings were not to our liking - vinegar taste too over powering Nice quiet place in the evening, comfortable in aircon, service was pleasant.
