Good service, bright atmosphere but I don’t like the taste of the food that I ordered. The soup too milky and can taste a bit of sour. And Lamb shank, the herbs are too strong and it doesn’t match with the lemb. But Chicken Wellington was good. The meat soft and tender.

Probably the best overall restaurant in penang in terms of price, menu, service and atmosphere, and quality of food. Went once and sure will revisit.

Really great food and service. Young female Indian server was amazing. Very attentive and very friendly. I particularly loved the mushroom soup. I love the more liquid consistency and the flavours. One of the best mushroom soups. Pasta was very good as well. Amazingly flavourful. Best cooked tuna steak I've had in a very long time. Did not love the chicken Wellington as much but the gravy was excellent and chicken exceedingly tender. Set comes with soup, drinks, main and dessert. Very worth it. Highly recommended!

Good food and excellent service. Went for dinner on my daughter's 18th birthday, the manager knew the special event just after we were done with the main course, she prepared a beautifully decorated cake for my daughter, what a surprise! The lamb shank and peri chicken were very delicious, other food were nice too.

Amidst the myriad of reputable street food vendors, THE WHITE by CATCH is cooking up something special in Georgetown, Penang. My party of 2 ordered the Torched Mentai Unagi on Nori Tempura and a Lobster Bisque (must try) for appetisers, and the Salmon & Spinach Wellington and a Pan-fried Cod for our entrées. Sadly, they had run out of cod for the day but had kindly substitute the dish with red snapper instead. Overall it was a very impressive meal and I would highly recommend to friends and family that are visiting Penang.

I was walking around the Komtar area one evening and randomly saw this place on another side of the road. Thankfully they got me in despite a very last minute reservation! 🥹 Service was excellent, ambience was great - they have live band when I was there. The only downside is the noise in the restaurant was too loud. But it's fine since the food was good enough for me to focus on 🤪 Food/Price: 1. Seared Japan Scallop with Ikura (MYR 42.80) - This was the only dish I think they could do better. Scallops seem overcooked and sunk. Overall taste was ok. [MUST ORDER!] 2. Fresh oysters (MYR 25 per pc) - BEST DISH OF THE NIGHT! 🤤🤩 Not too sure if these are Japanese oysters(?) They are so fresh and juicyyy! Should have spent the whole night eating only these oysters 🤣 3. Truffle fries w/parmesan cheese (MYR 18.80) - Crispy fries with truffle mayo! Similar as the one at Cafe-Bistrot David but the latter is better with its unlimited refill of cheese 🧀 *4-7 were ordered as a set, you can also order them as ala carte 4. Secret Garden Salad - Who doesn't love sesame dressing 🤩 lots of vege and fruits in this salad - so refreshing! 5. Mushroom soup - Their mushroom soup was so kaw - lots of shrooms in it! But it's not so kaw until will feel jelak also 🍄 6. Baked red miso butter Atlantic Halibut (MYR 89.80) - The price of the set depends on your main. Halibut is priced at MYR 44.80 for ala carte. While I think they executed this dish really well - tender and flavorful, I wish they give a thicker slice 🥹 Mashed potatoes is slightly on the dry side - better if they have some sauce on the side. 7. Dessert of the day - Rose lychee cake was not too bad. I love whipped cream A LOT but their cream macam too much. Or should I say the cake layer was too little? 🤔 I highly recommend this place if you're a seafood lover! Restaurant with good food + good service are hard to come by these days. Their prices are very reasonable as well. I will definitely return! 💯

Great food, excellent service. The very best service we have had in Penang. Not only the food which is ultimate but also the service mindset of the staff here. This is our first time but we will make sure that it’s not the only time. They also gave me the free BD cake after they accidentally learned about it from my husband. 100 stars!

Located in a colonial bungalow in the middle of Georgetown, this restaurant offers fine dining at a rather affordable price. The setting/ambience is rather special, focusing on lighting for the eyes to feast on and to give an extra edge and push to add taste to the food. Recommended to call to reserve a table and you may want to park at the road side rather than at the restaurant itself given the rather limited space (you don’t want your dinner to be disrupted to move your vehicles etc 😆)

Sadly we were disappointed. The mushroom soup was amazing, as was the steak. Sadly some of the food was not. The scallops came out almost cold. The service was also not great...my entree came out well before my wife's and then my drink arrived after entree but my wife didn't get her drink until after she had finished her mains. There appeared to be plenty of staff but maybe they lacked training.

Above average prices, but with good quality food. Good for a romantic meal, but also lovely for groups. Servers are attentive and knowledgeable.

We ordered their Braised Lamb Shank set and Chargrilled Wagyu Rump Steak with Foie Gras. Verdict: The Wagyu Rump Steak was tender, juicy and yummy. The Lamb Shank was quite chewy while the Foie Gras was way too oily but over all we still enjoyed our dinner. Service was fast although the restaurant was busy during our visit. Parking is limited and the space for each parking slot requires good parking and maneuvering skills. I will definitely come back to this restaurant to try their Fried Laksa and Fresh Oysters.

Our selections were very well presented. Apart from the great taste of the appetisers, the main courses well great too! Also, the service was very attentive and prompt.

Highly recommended, tip top services and atmosphere, I will definitely visit again when i am around Georgetown next time!

We were celebrating our friend's birthday last few days ago. The decoration and the atmosphere over was great and cheerful. Highly recommend their signature Fried Laksa. Others foods such as pasta and risotto taste average. Service was very great as well. Specially thanks to one indian lady staff for helping us to take photo! For parking can park infront of the restaurant.

Wonderful service from the waiters and waitresses. Serving plain water before ordering, refilling promptly and asking on the food. Good portion and great taste for the grilled fish with fried rice, and shrimp & tobiko spaghetti. Have a cosy room with wine rack and some bearbricks on display. Lucky to be given 2 free plates of their signature fried laksa. Cooked with 16 spices, where the chef personally select from the best ingredients. Daily set lunch, 11.30am to 3pm, from RM18.80 ala carte and from RM21.90 for set (free ice lemon tea). Afternoon tea also available for RM118nett.

Very friendly staff give good recommendations to us. A waitress Yi Xuan knows all the ingredients of the food and explained well to us. The environment is good and the foods we ordered are delicious. Love the rib and the risotto 🤤 recommended

Lovely place for lunch (because we dined in for lunch only ). Great good value for money and very friendly and helpful staff (especially Ms Tina). Last but not least , toilet is 5 star!
