Rows of shophouse that housed many eateries, restaurants and cafes. There is a wide variety of food available, local food to Italian food as well. There is a cold storage at one end of the mall. Ample parking space available and some are free parking, which allow customer to park at no cost. During weekend, after a lot of people will pop by the mall after their leisure walk around the park. Good location to stroll during the weekend.

A long row of shops along Upper Bukit Timah Road with heritage look and beautiful murals. Stopped over to have tea on the way to Bukit Timah Railway Station.

Set against the backdrop of Bukit Timah Hill and with easy access to the Green Corridor, the place is perfect as a pitstop or gathering point when you want to explore nature on foot or via a bicycle. Grab coffee and breakfast at Toastbox or Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, get your supply of snacks and bottled drinks at Cold Storage or 7-Eleven, or enjoy a hearty meal at one of the many restaurants/eateries. There is also a tap-room for local brew to end a nice evening. Parking can be challenging during meal times or when people are dropping off their kids at the educational center onsite.

What a lovely place! They have a good variety of cafe and restaurants including Coffee bean and Spring leaf prata. They even have cold storage super market. Overall a good 3 hours time to have a meal and do grocery shopping.

A pleasant place to hang out, it’s one long stretch of shops like a long train railway track. It’s mostly eateries, but it also has a pre school, CS supermarket, eye care, novelty furniture shop etc.

A nice long row of shop houses that used to be by the railway tracks and the 9 mile station. Now it houses many eateries, a pet shop, a supermarket, a convenient store and more. There are 2 wall murals that depicted how life was in the past and also how tigers used to be lurking around in the past and how they were hunted down.

Short stretch of eateries available here. Access to old railway and nature walk. There are many people over the weekend including photographer πŸ“Έ who wana snap a good photo of the old railway track, people fully geared for trekking, πŸš΄β€β™‚οΈ cyclist. Toilet is located at the start of the walk. This trip saw some monkeys climbing across roof 🏠 of houses, maybe they are looking for their food. There is this well painted wall mural that I took a photo of. Across this stretch you can find small eateries like vegetarian restuarant, springleaf prata, italian resturant, coffeebean, wine place, beer bar, EAT noodles, Toast box, Subway, εŒ…n MeeHoonKuek, chicken rice, furniture shop, beauty parlour, coldstorage, optical store. This row of shops are very small but you can really have some choice after the trek. Parking not that much but available in the open space.

Very unconventional dining areas versus other places in Singapore. This place resemble JB still style and it's located beside the famous train track area for photo taking. There are not many super must-try eateries over here. Plus, it's challenging to get a parking lot here during peak hour. The ideal transportation would be by bus or nearest mrt, which is at Hill view. This place is definitely not very child friendly, hence not recommended for families. Not the best recommended place due to its limited parking and dining choices.

A beautiful small mall set in picturesque surroundings adjacent to the erstwhile 9 mile railway station. Has number of small eateries offering various specialised foods popular in Singapore. Very serene and decent ambiance. Reasonable prices.

A charming & lovely strip mall that's home to a couple of bars, eateries, a supermarket and even a Cat Cafe. This mall brings back nostalgic memories of an era that we won't see anymore... that period in time when the Malayan Railway operated trains from Tanjong Pagar to Kuala Lumpur Sentral which are now confined to history. The Rail Mall and the area surrounding it is picturesque and scenic. Photo Buffs would have a great time here. How long will the rail mall last ? Will it be part of Singapore's future or will it be redeveloped and be a part of history ? The last train πŸš† picture and description are taken from the blog of yipyc These days the Rail Mall is easily accessible via the Hillview MRT and the several buses that ply Upper Bukit Timah Road.

Visited the Rail Mall after the walk along the Rail Corridor. It comprises of 2 blocks of single storey buildings and 90% of the shops are eateries. There is a Cold Storage supermarket in the mall. Its a good place to rest and grab your breakfast after the morning walk along the Rail Corridor. There is queue at every Restaurant when we visited the mall. We had prata and teh halia(ginger tea) at the Banana Leaf Restaurant. Reasonably price and there are 2 kind of curry sauce that come with the prata. We prefer the asam curry sauce over the light flavoured curry sauce.

Our Friday night dinner moved to Rail Mall Acqua E Farina was a surprise find but it has fantastic fish cooked deliciously with charcoal grill and the clams in garlic sauce with toast is to die for! The clams are sweet and really tasty! We will come back for the other dishes ...credit to the chef!

Start from the rail corridor entrance end at upper Thomson for a rewarding crispy prata meal. Total distance 12km. Time taken 3 hours. Good trek!

A must-visit place in Singapore, this place gives me a feeling that I visited food stalls in the United States as all the food stalls are located on the 1st floor. If you want to escape from the usual crowd in the regular malls, this is the best place I recommend to visit to peacefully enjoy your food popular Chinese vegetarian/vegan stalls are available as an option.

Small boutique shopping area with a Cold Storage supermarket and several eateries and a dentist. Bank’s moved out. Walking distance from nearby condominiums such as Summerhill, Hillvista, Hillview Heights, Parc Oasis, Hume Park, Signature Park, etc. Eateries have limited seating spots but some are open late into the night. Parking is a problem. Limited paid and free parking spots. Gets worse during rush hours. A few churches nearby too. There is a public car park along Dairy Farm Rd opposite Hillview MRT Stn. It’s a 5 min walk away from Rail Mall. Buses along Upper Bukit Timah Rd stop near the mall. Nearest MRT stop is Hillview Stn on Downtown Line. New Stn at Hume Avenue under construction will open 2025 and could be even nearer.

Stretch of food malls. Springleaf prata, fish N Co, toast box, nam kee, cold storage, popeye and more! Looking forward to the new opening food shops!

  • 4/5 M S. 10 months ago on Google
A couple of good restaurants along this stretch. The Springleaf restaurant popular for its wide varieties of prata is very popular and often crowded. If not for the lack of parking space, this place would have been great.

Started to explore food in this railway mall. There are so many choices of cuisine, and we will be exploring them in the upcoming days. Never a dull moment or lacking of food in Singapore.

Great place. Would be good if more cafes. It's next to the rail corridor.

A rare western styled mall where the shops are lined in a single row. There is a cold storage at the end where they sell fruits and vegetables. Not a big place but big enough for basic necessities. There are quite a few tuition centers in this area.

Rail Mall is such a great place. A sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Parking is ample and the shops and F&b are plenty. It’s a great place for supper, dinner. A refuge for walking along the green corridor.

Super! Super Super! Great for photo shoots. Had a nice experience at the CafΓ© there too. But they should have an ice cream kiosk or vending machine for those who want a simple refreshment. So many kids there today, but nothing budget friendly for families. Please seriously consider the above point, then it will truly be wonderful for everyone.

Was initially chaotic with many kids and flighty cats. Quite lovely to see the cats in their own elements, playing with one another and waiting for their dinner. One even walked into my lap! ☺️

An eclectic mix of shops catering to a wide range of consumers is the draw. However, with the exception of Cold Storage, service and quality of food are downers. This is especially so when it comes down to day to day fares such as chicken rice and coffee. Operators tend to be of the younger set of entrepreneurs out to make a buck instead of a name. Passable as the food may be, their prices can be astronomical. Given its location, rich history and potentials, things could be better

Thank you LoftHome Furniture for granting me my wish to have the talk of town centre piece table for my landscaped balcony. Stylish , classic , sturdy , beautifully coloured. My best place to have a cuppa and relax with friends and family.
