Really nice serene quarry. Short trail from bukit nature visitor center. The water is clear beaming with life. The trails are easy and various shelter points. Very nice small park with awesome view!

The goal was to visit the ex-quarry that’s currently a serene lake with surrounding fauna and wild insects, birds and animals. A good walk to get fresh air, easy accessible and short trail to the quarry. There’s also a mountain bike trail, don’t use that for walking.

18 Jan 2022:  Visit #2…Pretty easy trail, scenic, serene and you get to enjoy birds chirping and the magnificent view of Hindhede Quarry. 23 Aug 2021: Nice small park for all and Hindhede Nature Park is next to Bukit Timah Nature Reserve. The trail is not too difficult, we get to breathe fresh air and also enjoy the amazing flora and fauna. This is also a good place for bird watching and the view of Hindhede Quarry is truly awesome. For those who plan to drive; please take note that finding a parking space can be very challenging.

Located next to Bukit Timah Nature Reserve. Can enter through Bukit Timah Nature Reserve Visitor Centre. Followed the link bridge will reached Gaharu Hut then turned left walked further up will be Waringin Hut from there followed pathway will reached Hindhede Quarry Lookout Point. The purpose of today visited is to view Hindhede Quarry + tried hiking another path to reach Bukit Timah Hill Summit. Am satisfied to explore the South View Path, whereby need to climb 'endless' of stairs

Quarry lake. Didn't think there's still something like this in Singapore. The lookout hut and platform is a nice place to chill.

Wow! What a discovery! Bukit Timah Nature Park Reserve yes I know but not Hindhede Nature Park which is just beside it! Love the view at the quarry! Tranquil and relaxing. Turtles and fish! Occasional sighting of eagles! Pretty muddy today after the morning showers. A good hike! Watch out for the monkeys!

Hindhede Nature Park, a peaceful simple well maintain park which is great for family with kids and elderly. Officially opened by Mr Mah Bow Tan on 17th August 2001. Comes with a playground / picnic area and even with a foot reflexology path. A small look out platform which is an excellent spot for photographer and bird watching. Simply relaxing trekking park with quite a number of huts for resting.

Nice spot to stop by after you've completed the hike of Bukit Timah. There's a resting place to hide from the sun while enjoying the view here. The water is surprisingly (rather) clear and you can see tortoises and fish swimming inside.

It is a small little nature park located near Bukit Timah hill. It is interesting to see that it has a little playground and that it is designed for children to have fun in nature. It also leads to a viewpoint of the nearby quarry. Would recommend to visit.

A tranquil and serene hike to an unexpectedly beautiful lookout point. A lot less strenuous than the hike to the summit, taking no more than 15 minutes each way to the lookout point. Morning is probably the best time to visit where you can see turtles and an unreal reflection of the opposite cliff, almost like a mirror reflection.

Beautiful place plenty of nature to see especially turtles basking in the sun on fallen trees in the quarry lake. Great seating areas providing well needed respite from the sun.

Nice. Well kept surroundings. Venture on the trails for a hike or try out the MTB track (too tough for my [lack of] fitness). Excellent place.

A really nice place to hike at but would strongly advise against having a picnic there. I saw this place being recommended by a blog to have a picnic. It isn’t safe for a picnic because the monkeys there may be enticed, so stick to walks and hikes. Also, the lookout point has an amazing view of the bukit timah hill.

The only hilly terrain we have in Singapore with a dense tropical rainforest, mostly untouched and we'll preserved. Makes for a mostly shaded and pleasant walk amongst tall trees and flowers.

Waterfront view is great for yoga and just zoning off. Birds come out after 8am. Hindhede Nature reserve have two Buffy fish owls in residence. If you look carefui you may find them roosting up in the trees. Buffy fishes for a living, hence they stay close to the quarry lake.

  • 5/5 Kelvin Y. 4 years ago on Google
One of the nicest nature views in Singapore! It attracts a lot of birders to watch rare migratory birds passing by here. The quarry is only a 10 minute walk in and do not get mistaken, it is not part of Bukit Timah Hill!

  • 5/5 Alan T. 3 years ago on Google
Hindhede Quarry and other quarries in the surrounding areas used to be where granite mining took place in Singapore since the 1900s. But this ended in the 1980s, leaving behind the best nature has to offer and was renamed as Hindhede Nature Park. The park was officially opened by Mr. Mah Bow Tan, the Minister for National Development on 17 Aug 2001. It has gorgeous walking trails, fitness park and playground. Other activities include jogging, hiking and bird watching. This quarry has a beautiful lake with a maximum depth of18 metres. It is located next to Bukit Timah Nature Reserve. With easy trails and well-defined footpaths, the park is ideal for families with young children and the elderly.

  • 5/5 Mun Foo L. 3 years ago on Google
It's very peaceful and great to take in the view. A great spot for birders and photographers.

  • 4/5 Daniel C. 3 years ago on Google
Always a well maintained place to go for an easy hike with kids. With a mini playground, quarry and enough place and trails to walk. Attracts wild life photographers too!

  • 5/5 katong g. 3 years ago on Google
Excellent birding spot for uncommon birds especially at the quarry and around Gaharu hut.

  • 4/5 Gordon K. 3 years ago on Google
My review scope is limited to the viewing platform that overlooks the quarry. The view is awesome but limited thus that's the reason for the 4 stars and not 5 stars. Apart from that, you get to see birds and hear their melodious songs that is soothing to the ears.

Beautiful, tranquil lil' quarry to cool off at after a good hike. We started from dairy farm nature reserve, went up bukit timah hill summit and went down the "backside" of the hill to reach the Hindhede nature park & walked to the quarry. There's a playground area with lots of swings & obstacles to play at - perfect to let your kids have fun & sweat it out. There's nothing much to do at the quarry other than take pics, admire the view and rest at the sheltered gazebo. Most people take a break there & have their snacks & drinks. I hope they'll build a slide or something that'll allow us to enter & swim in the quarry one day🙏🏼

One of the most relaxing place we had visited. This place is well shadded with boardwalk and footpath and several hut for resting. We intended to visit the Hindhede Quarry but was disappointed to know that it was under repair upon arrival but the good news is the completion date is 30 November 2022. There is a kids playground and an exercise area. We prepared food and had our picnic in Waringin Hut when we noticed that we got company dining with us in close proximity.

Hindhede Nature Park is a peaceful oasis in the midst of nature. It's a great place for a leisurely walk or a hike, offering scenic trails and lush greenery. The park's highlight is the picturesque Hindhede Quarry, which adds to its natural charm. If you're looking for a serene escape from the city, this park is a hidden gem in Singapore.
