The staff are terrible. Very disappointed with the room. The room was dirty and tiny. Looks cheap and nasty. The whole hotel was dirty. The spa was cold and when reported to management I got told it's too expensive to keep hot. What a joke. Save your money people go check out Bunbury hotel. They need to change their name. There is no quality here.

Stayed here a few years back and it was nice, was visiting the area again and we decided to splash out of on the deluxe spa suite as an early anniversary present. Room was nice enough, sadly when we went to use the spa we got covered in this lovely brown sludge and when we informed the front desk the response we got was that's gross, thanks for letting us know we will make sure to make it nice for the next people staying. The closes we got to an apology was yep sorry about that, have a nice day. Would not recommend 1 star at best, will not be returning.

Definitely not a quality hotel, nothing about it is quality, the room is very, very basic. Not worth the $200 + per night for a very basic room, with a view to the carpark. The tiniest bathroom we have ever seen for a hotel or a motel. This is a motel, not a hotel, the name is deceptive. We have stayed at places that cost less than this and have more to offer. The pictures look better than it is. Our experience here was terrible. The pool was overrun with kids jumping and horsing around with no supervision. The reception was only serviced by 1 person even though it was busy. Definitely never coming back here and not recommended

Besides the falsely advertised photos of the rooms, thin walls, out dated and run down interior and exterior, damaged furniture, a tv with lines and discolouration running through the screen with sad taste in decor, the only thing this hotel has going for it, is the view . If you want to go back in time this is the place for you! If you don’t enjoy those things do not book your stay at the poor β€˜Quality’ lighthouse hotel. Just look at the previous reviews!

No food/ drinks options when we stayed on a Sunday night. 10mins after seeing the room I asked the receptionist if our bed that was on a 30 degree lean could be fixed only to be told there was no one in house keeping or maintenance to fix it. But she said she’d try, I checked in with her 2 hours later she then said maintenance would ring me. No one rang me, we got back from going elsewhere for dinner and it still wasn’t fixed. Was not worth the money at all. Pool is run down missing tiles on the floor, sharp enough to cut your feet. Beds obviously uncomfortable and bathrooms had specks of mould.

Needs a revamp, not worth the price for a room. Location is amazing so that's probably why they charge what they do. Indoor pools are so outdated, hotels should be trying to mimic resort style pool and entertaining areas not the 70's indoor pool and spa combo, it's just gross. The chlorine smell from the bedroom isn't pleasant and the rooms aren't clean. The bathrooms have to be big enough to swing your own arm around, nevermind a cat...these are a hazard if someone was on the larger side.

Reception and restaurant staff were friendly and polite and the food was served quite quickly particularly as the restaurant was full. Although a limited menu it was very nice. Room was clean but the bathroom was cosy. Unfortunately the toilet was leaking all night and some guests were talking outside my room until 3.00 am which caused a very interrupted night’s sleep. Unsure if I would stay here again considering the room rate of over $200 per night.

Great stay! Rooms were nice but unfortunately not very clean. Can tell at a glance only the very basics are done each clean. Dead bugs behind bed and on windowsills, provided toiletries looked like they had been dropped in the dirt, dirty footprints in shower, lipstick on one of the glasses, fridge had sticky substance on shelving. However the rooms were laid out very nicely and the bed was very comfortable. The tv was a smart tv and the space was very quiet. There is no microwave, not necessarily a bad thing as it meant the room had no lingering food odour. The rooms are certainly nice. Please note we stayed in a deluxe king room and i guess i just expected a higher level of cleanliness and thoughtfulness, we didnt mind as our stay was only overnight but any longer and we would have mentioned it to staff. The towels were just dumped higgledy-piggledy on the towel rail and the toilet roll holder is broken. Again, these are not things we minded really but it would be nice if things had been done a little more thoughtfully given the cost. Overall reasonably nice and its notable to mention that the service from the front desk was incredibly accommodating and pleasant!

Booked for 3 people told upon check in extra $120 for 3rd person who was originally included in booking, pretty poor form, Had a room over looking pool, couldnt have window open as chlorine fumes filled the room, windows dirty and could do with a good clean, blanket was falling apart and had holes in it, carpet absolutely filthy, exhaust fan in bathroom didnt work, for the cost of the room one would expect to feel comfortable to take shoes off!

Location was good, service was friendly but rooms let this venue down. Walls are thin and if on a ground floor it's even worse, the noise is ridiculous. The hot water was only lukewarm after waiting forever to purge the cold water out. Not ideal in the middle of a Southwest winter. Finally they had coffee, tea & kettle but no milk !!!! Could do with a full review by management as staff are doing the best with what they have.

Our company books a room here once a month, and on the last two occasions the room was dirty. When our employee complained he was told that he would have to pay $40 for a better room. If this happens again we will have our travel agency blacklist this hotel.

Well that was... an interesting stay. The quality hotel lighthouse is in vast need of modernising. The rooms are small, barely enough room to swing a cat let alone sleep one adult and 3 small children plus luggage. The bathroom is tiny with a very noisy fan. Space enough to hang one towel to dry. The other 3 you can hang.... nowhere. There is a very inconveniently placed glass shelf above the sink making it near impossible to wash your face. The carpet is stained in multiple places. The fridge is far too cold despite being on the least cold setting, froze my food and ruined it. I booked over the Easter weekend and was informed due to the holiday i would get limited service. Oh, and the restaurant was closed one of the evenings. I would not recommend and will not be coming back.

The age of the rooms is the only thing letting this place down. I had spectacular views of the ocean from my ground floor room. The room reminded me of an old school hotel, that old school charm but in desperate need of a freshen up. Shower pressure good, air con great as it was 39 degrees when I stayed. Bed was decent and randomly next to the bed is a spa. Yes. A spa. Close to places to eat and drink and close to incredible beaches. The sunsets are incredible. eScooters are also available to get around town to explore or zip along the beachfront.

The staffs are nice. Especially housekeeping and the cleaners. When we were about to check out, the morning hotel manager told me that I have to pay additional $30 for the sofabed. We were a group of 4 adults, and I have paid for 4 adults. During the confirmation online of my booking, it was stated that there is a queen bed and a sofa bed waiting for us. I have paid $207 and the booking was confirmed. And today, I have paid extra $30 which I think was wrong. What if I don’t have the money to pay for the extra as I have already made the booking online? Please make sure that the fees that you paid online is everything already otherwise they will make you pay more or extra. Disappointed :(

Try the breakfast offerings that start at 7.30am if you can. Excellent range of food available.$ 29.80. well worth it.

Quick easy check in with no fuss even though I was earlier due to work commitments. Appreciated this. Rooms are well appointed, stunning views, air con is a bit average but they have fans if you ask. Internet is good no issues. Close to beach, city centre. Great stay. Looking forward to my fortnightly stay. Home away from home.

Lovely Seaview room although needs a bit of an update, staff friendly. We had a 70th birthday at the Basalt and Glenn went above and beyond to make it very special. We have been here before and cannot fault it

Had a city view room (Room 57), but was still able to look over the water from my balcony and watch the sunset. Breakfast buffet was amazing, with views of the ocean. Shower door was my only issue. It freely swings like a saloon door, and when it stops, it was slightly open, so lots of water on the floor. I ended up putting the supplied mat in front of the door folded up, so when I closed the door, it would apply a small weight from the outside of the glass to keep the door closed enough. Also, the spider in the Bathroom window only comes out at night. I don't mind spiders, and I'm sure he is doing a fine job catching the other critters that try to sneak in. I left him there, as he's outta the way and not hurting anyone.

Hotel was small but clean. The bed was 2 singles pushed together, which was extremely uncomfortable as we ended up having to sleep on 1 side as there was a huge crack in the middle. Usually when 2 single bases are used, a queen or king mattress is used on top. Pool was freezing. Spa was constantly packed so not exactly pleasurable/convenient. It was an okay stay, but it seemed every way we turned there was some bad with the good.

Room views depends on your budget, city views from balcony are great especially night time very good location. Room service available or dine in at the restaurant gorgeous views and buffet breakfast, customer service first class very tentative

Pretty average for the money,TV didn't work. Apparently I could have called the night manager but most of the buttons on the phone were missing. Mould in the silicone in the shower, not a good look. Great location, probs won't stay there again.

House cleaning was pretty much non existent , (Bed was roughly pulled up, towels were changed daily but the floor needed cleaning in the bathroom and sitting area.) at least every couple of days, this was not attended to at all! NO VIDEO CHANNELS TO WATCH! mini bar totally empty and paid a $200 bond. paid for breakfast that was Luke warm. i used to stay often when i visited from Geraldton, but never again as the cost of the accommodation should have been at least a 4 star. unhappy customer.

It was honestly great. Oceanside room with a spa, everything was clean and everything worked. My only gripe was that it took 5 days to refund a 200 dollar bond and no one responded to emails about the hold up. That is honestly a ridiculous way to do business, one of which i have never experienced.

Lovely place, the bathroom is a bit of a let down for being in an upgraded room, needs some TLC around the shower but otherwise very neat and clean. The bed is very comfortable to with nice linens Cocktails and food so great! πŸ˜‹
