Before I walked through the doors at CFSW 6230 I had been struggling for years between the person I wanted to be and the person I was: always wanting to be healthier, fitter and more active. I had signed up to various gyms before, where I would always go for a month or maybe two, but always ended up paying and not going, my main excuse being: 'I don't have the time'. Those feelings amplified when I became a mum and after my second was born and my marriage failed, I thought that's it 'single full-time working mum of two under 5' - I'll never have the time now. So just to feel better about my negative self talk and just so I could say I've tried, I did the free on-ramp classes with George. Hey, it was free, so what did I have to loose and the best part: I could walk away afterwards and say 'see I just don't have time'. But George and the crew down at the Bunbury Box made me feel so welcome. Seeing all those different people from all walks of life, all different shapes and sizes, ages and fitness levels being happy, healthy and active athletes, but most of all this strong community full of helpful, friendly coaches and crew just made me feel like I was were I was meant to be. I decided to sign up. First I went with periodic and 3 days a week (coz to be honest Crossfit is not cheap, especially when you are a single mum) but I was soon hooked. Where before, I started to work out and as soon as I missed a day - that was it and I never went again, now if I miss a day I feel genuinely sad and can't wait to come in again the next day, catching up with my friends and getting fit while having fun. My priorities have changed and while a membership on paper might look expensive, all the life adjustments I've made (i.e. less take away) and the rewards I've reaped (i.e. having the energy to keep up with my 5 year old son) just outweigh the cost. I am now training 5 days a week, am happy, stronger, fitter and healthier than ever. My attitude towards myself and life in general has changed dramatically, I am no longer struggling between the person I want to be and the person I am. I am were I always wanted to be and I am proud. Proud of myself and of what I've achieved. I can honestly say CFSW has changed my life for the better and for that I will forever be grateful.

Loving my crossfit experience so far. I was nervous and intimidated to join a crossfit gym, the workouts you see in the media (heavy lifting and gymnastics) terrified me. What I have learnt is that there is ALWAYS an alternative, and no judgement from staff or members. I am not looking to get super strong, or athletic, as I get older, I want to manage my weight, and improve, maintain strength and balance etc, so I can play and keep up with the grandkids, and hopefully age gracefully. Better than a gym, as there is always a coach on the floor to answer questions and help out. Super supportive community feel. Highly recommend Crossfit Exemplar.

The team here have been nothing short of awesome with their welcoming nature, and great community feel, especially for an outsider from Perth like myself. Programming is challenging and the coaching is on point. This box Unlike most others and one I love being a part of.

This is the first gym I don’t feel uncomfortable to be myself in. I’ve made new friends of all ages, achieved fitness goals I never imagined I’d be able to, change my mindset around exercising and my body image, accepted my own fitness journey with its good and not so good days and built a support network around me with people who only wish to see me succeed. Grateful to be apart of this gym & community!! I look forward to welcoming any one new on board if you come down to try it out :) we all have to start someone where!

It is not often you will find a gym that feels more like a family but this is what you get when you come here. Everyone is welcoming, fun, encouraging, supportive. There is always unwavering support from the coaches, who are invested in doing what is going to be best for you. CFSW cares about every single member they have and it is amazing to be a part of it. The idea of starting Crossfit terrified me at first but after starting and staying for over a year now I can say I cant imagine ever not doing it. 100% hooked. Don't miss out, come and join us :)

I always loved sport and staying fit, but found it very hard after having a child. Team sport was fun but the one a week play and some practice was just not enough for me. I tried a normal gym but just couldnt push myself hard enough. I also missed the interaction with people. After I hit rock botom with my weight and body, just generally hating my own unfit useless self, I decided its time to get serious. I asked around and one of my friends suggested crossfit. I didnt even know what it was about. After I had a lovely conversation with one of the owners, Georgina, I decided to join. I was really unsure of myself at first and had to get to know everyone. I thought I would feel out, as everyone seemed young and so fit! They were all so inviting and supporting. Cheering me on and giving me tips on where to improve. I have been with CFSW for almos two years. And what an amazing place! It's like my second family. I love everything about it! The coaches are fantastic, spending time with each individual athleate, working on form and making sure everyone can do the workout. Scaling options are available for athletes needing to work on their strength. The coaches are flexible and are able to accommodate any tipe of athlete. As Crossfit is a whole body workout, nothing gets left out. After the workout I feel like I trained. And I can certainly feel my fitness levels improving. I recommend Crossfit to anyone and everyone! Love my gym and all the people in it! The standards are set high with a gentle approach. Meeting every athletes need. Love it!

I have been a member of CFSW from not long after they opened in Bunbury. Prior to this I was a member of various gyms and fitness groups. When I joined CFSW I found a way to dramatically improve my fitness alongside a group of like minded and inspiring people. I am so very glad a friend encouraged me to join this awesome gym as I have found I am at my fittest and happiest when I am part of it. It is the most inspiring place to be

I've gotten so fit working with the coaches at CFSW. It's not the kind of gym you pay for but don't go, the coaches want you in their classes and they work really hard to help you achieve your goals. The programming is extremelly well researched, intentional and achievable scaling levels for all fitness or injury levels. It is also amazing to train with the same people week by week and have made some very close friends at CFSW. Great if you're new to the area or need a bit of social encouragement i your fitness journey! Not competitive but extremely supportive as everyone has strengths and weaknesses in different areas. You don't have to get fit to start Crossfit, you start Crossfit to get fit.

well I've been in the fitness industry over 20yrs and I've tried most forms of exercise but never felt that I worked hard enough on myself/body. Then I met someone that told me about her personal achievements that she got through CF so I thought I'd give it a go🙏 I travel 30mins to attend 2/3 times a week and I have never looked back😀 I have seen huge difference in my body shape and strength and have met some incredible people along the way as I have never felt judged, intimidated, or unwelcomed. Tamika,George and Joel have been inspirational towards our learning and have always made me feel welcome. I work 4 days a week in Harvey but knowing how CF and the people there makes me feel it's worth the 1/2 drive👌 Thankyou guys💪💪💪

Seeing my husband and eldest son become healthy, energetic & enthusiastic people before my eyes was so inspiring that I had to join myself! I must say I was apprehensive about it, however during my first session my fears where quickly alleviated by a very professional and genuinely sincere coach. Thanks a bunch I'm so keen for increased strength & vitality into my 40s, and I know that you will take great care to ensure my body is not injured during the process.

Before joining Crossfit South West I tried training at other gyms and even by myself but I wasen't making the changes I hoped to make and I started to doubt myself and became less confident but as soon as I joined crossfit they gave me a detailed explanation of what crossfit is and how to achieve my goals and I thank the whole crew for that. Not only have I achieved my goals but I've become a better person thanks to the welcoming and supportive crew I train with always helping me when I struggle no matter how stubborn I am and having a lot of fun and laughs along the way. I am sincerely grateful for the experience and memories I have made with everyone at CFSW and can't wait to make more with the amazing trainers and crew thankyou so much.

I've been a member for almost three years. Zero injuries from crossfit. You are very well looked after here with your movements, weight and technique. The instruction is top class. You will lots of support from the coaches and the members. Join in the fun. Getting fit is just a by product. You'll stop worrying about how you look and focus more on what you can achieve with different movements.

i started and joined crossfit when CFSW opened and needed a space (passion) in my life filled after i stopped surfing due to those big things with teeth in the water . crossfit has done that not only because of the fitness but mainly the community and like minded people it encourages to do this on a daily basis , that communty is driven by its leaders in Joel and George and backed up by there more than capable coaches . CFSW is the place to be its changed my life for the better

Crossfit South West is a fantastic gym. I have been pretty slack for the past year, and now I genuinely look forward to training. The coaches are knowledgable, thoughtful and can accomodate to all fitness levels. The classes are varied, fun and effective. I can already feel a difference in my physical and mental health. Everyone should come check it out! 😊

I can only share my experience in regards to the Weightlifting aspect of CFSW (South West Barbell Club). I have been training at CFSW gym for 1.5 years now and have met many great, friendly and goal-orientated people, and made a few friends at the same time. George and Joel are the head coaches with many years of experience, and the recognised qualifications from accredited sources i.e. Australian Weightlifting Federation. What you'll find in the Weightlifting classes are properly structured and periodised training programs (these can be catered if you've got an injury) throughout months, or year depending on the phase. Training structure of the classes involves compound movements and derivatives of the clean and jerk, and the snatch as well as the full movements of those lifts to allow you to excel. You definitely get out what you put in. George and Joel want to see everyone succeed and crush their personal bests. It's a fantastic environment.

I have never been a fan of training at a gym. I've always hit the weights hard in my garage gym and loved it. I was keen to get into Olympic weightlifting and about 6 months ago my wife convinced me to give CFSW a go (she is a member and couldn't speak more highly of them). Since then, I've kept coming back and I love it! This is not just a gym, it is a extended family!

Enjoyed my dropping to this Box while working away. Coach was awesome and very focused on the class, people were friendly and the WOD of the day was great. Thank you for having me.

Hi all! I think I've found the link to write a review and I'd love to share my experience. I joined CFSW when we were at our old gym in Bunbury and did it for about a year and a half. My twins were very little at this time, around 3/4 years old, so training times were tough to get in but I held on. However, I needed to stop for about a year as they were going through a stage where I just felt like I had to be there for them as a Mum first and foremost during these learning times, so my heart goes out to all those Mums out there who want to train but find training and time difficult. Training at CFSW never went away in what I wanted to do, but looking after my kids first was what I needed to do at that time. I came back to CFSW 12 months ago and now my twins are 6, they are now looking on at me as inspiration. Who would have thought?! My kids think I'm "Good at the gym" as they stated in their review of their mother at school. So touching! "What is you Mum good at?" "The gym!!" I come to oly now and they want to take videos and pics of their Mum doing her best, they cheer me on, are my greatest fans and are now involved in CF for Kids. What I'm trying to say is, training here at CFSW is for families, not just a place to train and go home, but a place where you can meet like minded people, families and friends. People from all backgrounds who inspire you, challenge you, encourage you, support you and push you to your limits. Where at the end, you can smile and say, "I actually gave that my best go!" A place where you can walk away at the end of a WOD and feel the better for it each and every time. Training with my husband, Ads, too is another plus. CFSW is for everyone. Young, fit, older, middle aged, goal setters and injured. CFSW will tailor every day to suit your needs to achieve goals. My final words are, "Don't be afraid to give it a go! Start where you're at and go from there. Make more goals from that point, and it doesn't matter how long it takes for you to get there, keep working a little each and every time." I'm still working on goals. I'm happy that I am. Having like minded people surround you in their love and support only inspires you more to keep going. Stay focused peeps. Stay strong. 💝 CFSW
