Porto's
Bakery
is
always
our
first
stop
when
we
travel
from
the
Northern
California
Bay
Area
to
Los
Angeles!
The
experience
at
Porto's
is
consistently
delightful.
Everything
they
offer
is
not
just
delicious
but
bursting
with
flavor.
Personally,
I
have
a
soft
spot
for
their
cheese
rolls
–
they
are
heavenly!
Recently,
we
decided
to
order
a
birthday
cake
from
Porto's,
along
with
a
selection
of
their
pastries.
We
opted
for
the
Rosa
Porto's
Pineapple
Cuban
Cake
Round,
and
it
was
a
fantastic
choice.
This
signature
Cuban
cake
is
lightly
soaked
with
simple
syrup
and
a
hint
of
brandy.
It's
layered
with
chunky
pineapple
jam
and
velvety
vanilla
custard,
finished
with
a
beautifully
toasted
meringue
and
sweet
dried
pineapple.
What
impressed
us
the
most
was
how
moist
and
soft
the
cake
was.
The
sweetness
of
the
pineapple
was
perfectly
balanced,
eliminating
the
need
for
a
cup
of
coffee
to
complement
the
taste.
Even
with
a
group
of
5
people,
we
had
some
left
over,
and
I
must
say,
the
portion
size
and
pricing
are
excellent
value
for
money.
Plus,
the
cake
still
tasted
fantastic
even
after
spending
two
days
in
the
fridge!
