Place is completely dated and a dump. There were hairs all over the bathroom and the ceiling. Room wasn’t clean and the bed was sagging. The only decent thing about this was their airport shuttle. I purchased a specific breakfast and room package and they did not even provide what came with it. When asked at breakfast the lady was clueless. I literally paid an extra $30 for nothing as they did not deliver what was included. I stayed here for business and the package that I booked clearly stated this came with a specific Chinese breakfast package and kettle in the room. Arrived and there was no kettle at all. I asked about the breakfast that my room rate included and told that they had it and I could look in the app. There was nothing on there about it. The next morning I went down and asked the restaurant staff about my included specified breakfast and was told that it was not they had no idea and given a Continental breakfast. On top of this the room was dirty. There were hairs stuck on the ceiling of the bathroom and there were hairs on the bathroom floor and counter. The AC unit was old and loud and the bed was sagging and the furnishings very dated. This was highly disappointing to pay $173 with tax for this experience. I paid $25-$30 extra for this ‘experience’ that was no where to be seen. Save yourself some grief and stay elsewhere as this place is a dump. They did not deliver on what was promised.

I, admittedly, was already having a difficult day. Upon arrival I was able to go straight to my room, and used the app to unlock the door. No problem there. The room is nice, what you'd expect from a Hilton property. However, I noticed that the outlet in the lamp base doesn't work. Not a big deal, but having my phone next to my bed and charging during the night would have been appreciated. I found another outlet that worked. What earned the 3 star rating for service is the interactions I had with a man who said he was in charge of the property. By the time I got to my room a little after 3pm, I was depleted and in need of my first food of the day. I called downstairs and he answered the call. I asked if there's room service, (as I didn't find or get any room service menu) and he said they did, and I could find the menu on their website. I found nothing online after a few attempts. So I reluctantly went down to the lobby where he once again told me that the QR code is on the room key sleeve I didn't receive due to using their remote key in their app. I then told him I've had a pretty rough day, and I just needed some food right away. He said to look over the menu he gave me, and then to call in my order. When I attempted to phone in a room service order, he answered the phone again and it was then he advised me that I would have to wait until 5pm when the chef arrives. After all that interaction with him, 2x no less, he at no point said room service wasn't available until 5. That is, until I tried to order food just before 4pm. It was very frustrating to be misled. Also when I connected to their online menu via the QR code, I found some items had prices that were lower than the hard copy menu he gave me. Again misleading and disappointing for a Hilton property. Legally, if someone ordered room service using the QR code on the room key sleeve the hotel provided, the hotel would be required to adjust their pricing to what they are online. Again, the room is fine, and the property in general is fine. This traveler would have appreciated clearer, consistent, and accurate information. Especially from someone in a position of authority.

During our recent stay at this Hilton, we found ourselves here unexpectedly due to a flight rescheduling. It was very close to the airport and its shuttle service was convenient. However, it's surprising that this hotel maintains a 4-star rating. The property appears quite dated, with worn and stained carpets and dirty furniture in our room. We even noticed a couple of dark spots on the chair pillows. The room's decor seemed frozen in the 1990s, with the exception of the flat-screen TV. The AC unit looked like it belonged in a college dorm room from the '90s as well. The bathroom was a real letdown. Some fixtures didn't seem to work so water couldn’t stay at a fixed temperature, and the bathtub was clogged, leading to a flooding issue during our shower. It was a very unpleasant experience. To make matters worse, we discovered a dark orange stain, possibly blood, on one of the towels. Despite our exhaustion from a previous flight delay and an early departure the next morning, we didn't have the energy to address these issues with the management right away. We reported our concerns to the front desk the next morning but received no response or apology. Hilton needs some serious updating and attention to detail to live up to its 4-star status.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel, downloaded Hilton app can get easy check in process. When we arrived we can go straight to the room with digital room key on the app. The airport shuttle was nice and comfy too, it comes every 30 mins and on the departure level outside in the middle part on the road. The room itself is nice and clean. There is also breakfast provided only $13 and great variety of food. The staff is welcoming and friendly.

Eric on the front desk was super helpful & informative. He went beyond! So was Joseph. Beds were super comfy - the best. Quiet & near airport so perfect to stay close & just jump on the BART to get into the CBD. Free airport shuttle every 1/2 hour. Catch the Bart from the airport to CBD & jump on the shuttle & upon return for pick up. Too easy. Just ask for a kettle or fridge if you need it. Thanks again Eric - you're a superstar!

This place is no good. It’s kind of a shame it’s under the Hilton name. Here’s just a few of the issues that make this not a great place to stay: - the rooms are super dated. Like, haven’t been updated in decades. The chair in my room has numerous stains. See photos. - rooms don’t have refrigerators. Seriously! I can’t keep a beer, or coffee, or water bottle, or soda, or whatever cold in my room?! I have seen motel 6s that have fridges and cleaner rooms. - the carpets have stains. - the restaurant and bar staff provide awful service. They’ll ask what you want before even giving you a menu and will not pay any attention to you after you’ve ordered. - the gym is worse than most gyms I’ve ever seen. - the beds are uncomfortable. I’ve slept on pull out couches that are more comfortable. I come to San Mateo for work monthly, and I would rather pay double the price to stay at the Marriott in SM or pretty much any other hotel. I will not be staying here again.

This hotel is very pretty in the lobby area but our rooms were smelling a little funky, found a small bug on our bed (which we were changed out of immediately). The funky smell was in all the 5 rooms that we had purchased for the weekend. I would definitely suggest that the cleanliness isn’t sacrificed. Most towels had stains, bathroom wasn’t cleaned properly, smell in the room, bed sheets with a small stain, and a little dusty. ANDDDD…they have free shuttle service from the airport to the hotel. Super convenient! Overall decent stay but I might not be back to stay again for the second time. Great staff!

The sheets were stained. They did change then when asked. The front desk, does not come off with a Welcome to the Hilton, but more of NEXT. They are not very personable or welcoming compared to other Hilton's. The place does need updated, it seems it has seen better days. Until then, they would do well to up their greeting game and their room cleanliness. It would help tremendously.

The setup made for a quiet stay. The view was great. Shuttle had a little to be desired (took 40 minutes at one point for him to come back around after closing the door on me) and you don’t know until you’re at the hotel that there’s a map you can follow it on. Hotel rooms have no Fridge or microwave.. at all! Know this in advance should you have medical needs. A/C somewhat worked.

After staying at the other Hilton properties in the immediate area, I really expected more from this hotel. The property is really showing its age in the hallways, rooms, elevators and executive lounge. My room felt more like a nice Hampton Inn than a Hilton. Breakfast choices are very limited and you are steered towards ordering the full buffet. There were no hot, a la carte breakfast items and I ended up not using my dining credit. The hotel provides a quiet night's rest and for me, that is the most important amenity. This is a very basic Hilton property that is past it's prime but can be a good stay with adjusted expectations.

I enjoyed my stay very much and I’m grateful to the late checkout as My flight is 11:30 pm. I am elderly and travelling alone. This has been my home away from home Hotel. The service is very good all round, Except the Chinese waiter In the restaurant, who appeared to be impatient and very abrupt. He is very much the exception. It is very convenient to access the airport from this hotel. I like to make a few suggestions to the hotel to make the stay even more comfortable. 1. Please have a recycle bin Empty bottles of water And other wrapping papers etc. 2. Please consider putting refrigerator into the rooms because we like to take fruits and cold beers etc. We have not come across a rum, has not got the fridge for a very very long time 3. There is no shower room for the gym or the swimming pool. A sweating man who came out of the gym went into the pool which made me feel very uncomfortable. As for myself, I would like to have a shower instead of just drying myself to go onto the lift. Thanks again to

The staff could not be more helpful. Loved the texts! Great room, view of the Bay, comfortable bed, quiet and clean. Short walk to Kincaids for a yummy dinner was a plus!

Great location for work trips and close to the airport. Friendly front desk. Convenient airport shuttle. But, it's very outdated, grimy, and doesn't feel clean. I've never had issues with the heat/AC like others have noted, though. If it weren't for the location, I'd probably choose a different hotel.

Hotel is located near the airport and near the bay. Highly recommended to take a short walk around the bay. The hotel shuttle was convenient and clean. Staff was attentive. Hotel could use some furniture update and mini refrigerator are available upon request. Overall was a great stay.

We booked this place expecting a 4-star hotel and service. In reality, I don’t believe it even qualifies for a 3-star rating. So, if you expect a 4-star hotel and amenities, this is not the place. It is very old, very basic, and the level of service is far below 4-star standards.

This Hilton feels more like a motel than a hotel. It is located out on its own with nothing nearby or walking distance, which is important because their restaurant is only open for minimal hours and they don't have any in-room dining. My room had a non-working shower where the faucet was dangling like a necklace and when I ran water in the sink it started flooding out the bottom all over the floor. Not worth it to stay here. Choose the Marriott nearby for a similar price but better location, rooms and amenities.

DONT GO. The service are arrogant and slow. Room is old, counter table is dirty. Location not close to airport enough and it’s not convenient to drive into the hotel and out to the peninsula. Parking lot is small and always takes me 10 mins to find parking, have to walk long distance from the outdoor parking lot to the only stairs and they charge you $20 per day for parking. Their breakfast required at least 18% tips even you already pay for the breakfast buffet. My friend tipped room cleaning people too but one of my stuff is missing. Oh and their pillow is smelly. Overall, the worst hotel I’ve ever stay including motels.

In one word: Disappointing. No refrigerator in the room. Stains on carpet and chairs. Worn bed (drooping in the middle). Terrible restaurant staff. We left after 15 minutes without being acknowledged. Very noisy a/c wall unit in the room. We had to turn it off to be able to sleep. But then it got uncomfortably cold in the room. Continuous loud noise from outside. I do not recommend this hotel. Go somewhere else.

Rooms are fine, although could use a bit of sprucing up. The front desk service was excellent. The on site restaurant was of good quality. Prices are stretching it a bit but ok. Location is hard to beat. There is a daily charge for parking in their garage.

I was worried the shuttle would not come, but it did. Our flight got in late. The rooms were nice and clean. The view was wonderful. The best part was the breakfast staff. They were 5 star. They also had a wonderful selection of teas. The breakfast was good.

Hotel was a typical Hilton property with all the amenities. Only issue was that we could not gain access to the business lounge. When we checked, there was apparently an issue with the door lock system. Airport shuttle was very efficient.

My husband and I stayed one night to catch an early flight the next day. We checked in online and went straight to our room. Although a little dated, our room was quite spacious and clean. I was surprised to find no mini fridge in the room. That's a first for me. Nice view of the bay. Comfy bed... Our tub did not drain properly. Hard taking a shower and being ankle deep in water at the same time. ( We let front desk know upon our departure) Lastly, one bath towel per person? At least provide 2. Had we stayed more than one night we would have gotten a few more from housekeeping. 5 minutes from SFO and airport shuttle... KUDOS !!!!

Parking elevator is out of commission which made it pretty hard to move luggage to a room. Parking signage at the front is irritating because it implies there is nowhere to park to check in and is either all fire lanes or shuttle reserved. The check-in experience shouldn't be that stressful at a high end chain. Would be nice to have parking be included in the price or more clear during booking. It's an annoying surprise, especially at 20 dollars per night. The staff was nice and friendly and being next to the Bayshore trail is nice for being able to walk.

My flight out of San Francisco was early in the day. Rather than being concerned about getting to the airport on time, I chose to stay at this hotel. I enjoy staying at Hiltons, and they offer a free shuttle. When I arrived, I was upgraded to a room with a Bay View - I added a photo from my window. The room was clean (something most important to me) and well-appointed. The bed was comfortable. Everything was great. I ordered food for delivery. (The restaurant is expensive.) Then, I went to have a drink at the bar. They have a lovely bar, and a great bartender was on that evening. While I'm unsure of the next time I'll be in San Francisco, this hotel will certainly be one I would consider.

We had a horrible experience at a hotel in Oyster point where we only stayed one night there. In the morning we decided to find a different hotel and stumbled upon Hilton Bayfront and when we spoke with them on the phone they were very helpful in accommodating us. Once we arrived we felt super welcome, we were greeted with nothing but the best service. The hotel was awesome, the rooms were clean, the bar was a bit expensive but what you would expect for a hotel. This is definitely a hotel I will stay at in the future and recommend to family and friends. They even messaged us during our stay to make sure everything was fine. Ryan and Tatiana were very helpful and definitely saved our trip. The hotel has a shuttle that will pick you up and take you to the airport which we used for our flight back home. The driver of the shuttle was professional and helped us with our bags and assured we arrived at the correct terminal.

Pros: free airport shuttle that runs roughly every 30 mins. Big spacious rooms with plenty of space to put all your things and charge your devices. Real nice views of the water. Staff very welcoming and helpful whenever I had questions. Allowed me to borrow a cable for the time of my stay. Had an early flight and they had a room for me when I got there without me requesting ahead of time! :) Cons: Felt like every other floor had the ice machine broken. There was a sign that said there were snack vending machines on two floors I did not find one on either. Pool is rather dated and just smelled of chlorine just by opening the door and there was a single open shower in the same room. This is the first hotel room I’ve ever had that did not have a refrigerator and with how much space these rooms have it’s kind of odd. TV remote difficult to navigate. Where there are some nice views you are also surrounded by a lot of parking lots. If you aren’t driving, unless you use the free shuttle to go back to the airport, it is difficult to access public transportation. Breakfast buffet is very expensive and it’s all paid options. It was a decent stay just overall deceiving for being called a 4-star hotel compared to other stays.

A one night stay ahead of an onward flight - location, facilities and room were very good and high floor was offered which was appreciated. Airport shuttle service is also very smooth. However possibly due to Labor Day weekend it appeared the front desk team were understaffed on our arrival which resulted in a very lengthy check-in - would expect better from Hilton

Hilton San Francisco Airport Hotel is very close to San Francisco Airport and this is huge plus point for this hotel. Airport Shuttle Service to hotel is an added advantage to visitors. Beautiful bay in the vicinity of this hotel is the next attraction. Though the hotel appears to be little old it has its own charm. But the hotel is beautiful. The view of bay from the room is beautiful. One can see aeroplanes taking off and landing at the airport from hotel room. The illuminated airport skyline during nights is beautiful to watch. We could spend 3-4 hours walking along the bay front near the vicinity of this hotel. It was a very good experience. Hotel staff helped us in getting cabs. Nice place to stay with family.

I came in for a work trip and spent most of my time in the hotel. Amenities were great to have - pool, gym, etc. but the rooms (10th floor at least) were dated and the menu at the little bar was sub-par. Service was great. Really great people and very attentive. Only suggestion is update the rooms and the electrical.

We stay here often and enjoy the location, the service, and the lagoon that has a walking trail around. Rooms are roomy and bright with views across the bay. Obviously, we like it, bc there are several hotels to choose from in the area and we choose to stay here. We have stayed at others around too and some are very nice and newer, but this one checks the most important boxes to us. What could improve for this hotel are for the rooms to get a solid update and for the Executive Lounge to reopen.

Had no idea that breakfast was not included after they had literally pushed it on me with no mention of price. I asked if we can take it to go and she said yes. Figured no big deal right?! Not once was I given a menu or told there was a charge for the Continental breakfast that was awful. Eggs were not cooked fully and the bacon was dried and too salty. To our surprise a check was delivered for $56. I let the hostess know and she said you Can more than likely get it taken off or at the very least a discount. Nope not the case. Front desk lady pretty much said too bad so sad. Not to mention the pillows and amenities of the hotel needs renovation, badly. Overall not a great stay. Disappointed to say the least.I’m

Excellent customer service is their hallmark! From the shuttle driver to the front desk to the wonderful staff for morning breakfast, they make you feel welcome and appreciated! Breakfast was delicious, bed was comfy, room was immaculate, albeit a little dated. This was a great stay and I will definitely stay here again.

The hotel's proximity to the bay gave us great access to some beautiful walking trails. The complimentary shuttle to the airport was one of the biggest perks, as we were then able to access the BART station at the airport to make our way down to the piers. Front desk staff were very kind, and the dog treats and potty bags were a nice touch. The new, COVID-era of periodic room cleaning was well explained when we arrived, and we were very satisfied with the quality of the cleaning services. The room itself was okay, though below par for what one would expect of a Hilton. The room decor could use a remodel as it looks a couple decades out of touch. The bathroom was spacious, though the tile and bathroom vanity made it have the vibe of an industrial kitchen. The windows were too dirty to really enjoy the phenomenal room, though there was a note that an exterior window cleaning was scheduled for the following week. Finally, breakfast was VERY overpriced for what you get at the buffet. With that being said, we booked this hotel specifically for the airport shuttle and affordable price. The sheer beauty of the surrounding area was an unexpected plus. The outdated-ness of the room was more of an aesthetic letdown than anything else, otherwise our experience was very satisfactory.

The stay was my worst ever hotel stay. We arrived on New Year’s eve and got a room with connecting door. Towards midnight, my next door guest was partying extremely loud and smoking weed so hard that the smoke seeped into my room. I called in the lobby asking the hotel to remind them. The hotel security came and said my next door guest told them they’re going to stop right after midnight. I understand that it was New Year’s eve and so I let the noise slide. They didn’t stop until around 2 AM. I have a young child and the smoke was really bad that I felt suffocated. By that time, I called Lobby again and asked to tell them to stop the noise and smoke (mind you the room was supposed to be non-Smoking room and they clearly have non-smoking sign written in the room). I have asked the hotel to move me to another room but the hotel said they were full booked that night. The next day, when I checked out, I told the guest service what happened that night; he didn’t even apologized and just asked me to email his GM. I wish the staff at this hotel truly enforce their own rule of a non-smoking room. Had I not complained, I could’ve got a fine from them because my room was reeking weed the next day.
