The hotel is very clean and welcoming. The on premises restaurant is great, and he fitness center is better than most hotel gyms. Only downside is mandatory valet parking, or paid street parking. I hate valet parking but I don't trust parking on the street in Burlington. Staff is very friendly and overall it was a great stay for 4 nights.

Here are a few things I liked about The Hilton Garden Inn and a few things they could improve: What I liked: The hotel had a beautiful entrance and the staff were also helpful and friendly. I came after hours and the door was opened quickly for me too. I quickly got my room key and in no time was getting into bed to fall asleep. Perfect 5 star experience there. Additionally checkout was fast and easy. Beautiful location, easily accessible to anything you need. What could be improved: The room I got was handicap accessible. I wish hotels would leave these rooms empty for people who need them. You never know who is going to come and need that space. Additionally to shower in those spaces the towels are far away. So the entire bathroom gets wet after you shower. If you need to use the toilet you are standing on a wet floor. Valet parking is the only option here. Not a big deal but just be prepared to spend an extra 22 dollars a night for the service. There is no other option too. It would be nice to give people a choice. Feel free to check out my photos to get a sense of the space.

I stayed at this hotel for two nights for a work trip. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The room I stayed in had nice views of the lake. I ate dinner in hotel restaurant, turkey club sandwich was delicious! Overall nice place to stay.

I DO NOT recommend the Hilton Garden Inn Burlington Vermont. We stayed 2 nights in August. On the second night, which we ended up paying over $525 for a standard room for one night, the air conditioning broke around 9 PM on one of the hottest days. Our room was extremely hot and stuffy, none of us slept. The air conditioning was not fixed until after 9 AM the next day. The only credit that the hotel offered was a $50 parking credit. Considering we spent over $525 for the night for an air-conditioned room, which we did not receive, this is not acceptable. I have reached out to both Hilton and this specific hotel several times with promises that a manager will return my call which never happens. I have been a loyal Hilton customer for over 20 years . I will be staying at Marriott brand hotels from now on.

Location can’t be beat for discovering Burlington on foot! Walking distance to everything. Rooms are clean and spacious, the building itself is nice and interesting, cute pool area too. Staff is friendly and welcoming, breakfast offering is so-so, but plenty of coffee available so that’s a plus. Definitely a good choice

This is a nice, clean, hotel with very friendly staff, and it is located in a great spot within walking distance of literally dozens of restaurants, bars, & shops, as well as the waterfront. The indoor pool is small, but was perfect for our kids. We felt the price was hefty considering it does not include a breakfast of some sort, and we had to pay for parking, either on the street or a daily valet rate.

This staff have been absolutely wonderful and understanding. We needed to change our reservation a few times due to unusual circumstances and they have been kind and flexible. If if you don't know Burlington, this location is prime. Truly. Close to everything and short walk to the lake. You can't go wrong staying here and a shout out of respect and gratitude to the front desk staff!

First time staying here, normally use Hampton Inns but this location was better for our visit. Burlington is a pretty small city on the shore of Lake Champlain. This hotel is centrally located with excellent restaurants on all sides. The valet parking makes things easy and was reasonably priced at $22 per night. The check in process was smooth and the young man at the desk was both professional and very friendly. If you like reasonably priced accommodation in a central location without city noise disturbing you, this would be a good choice.

I have stayed here multiple times - it's hard to beat the location and value it offers. Much newer and nicer than the Hilton Waterfront and you're also closer to the part of the downtown that matters - only three blocks from waterfront/bike path/etc

Revised: Initial review is at the bottom. Updated from 4 stars due to expense, to one (1) start due to extremely rude treatment when my car was hit while in their parking lot. The clerk's manager yelled at me, and hung up, as discussing the incident. My position is that only valets are supposed to use these spots, so in all likelihood one of them hit my car. So so rude. While I was firm, this guy didn't give me the chance to speak, talked over me, and told me "this is my day off, I'll give you five minutes and then I'm gone." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Nice hotel and location, but crazy crazy crazy expensive.

Beautiful experience. Very clean and spacious rooms, and conveniently located very close to burlington downtown. There's no self parking, but only valet (which is $22/ day). Overall, loved my stay here!

We picked this room up last minute as a layover for the night and the receptionist was nice and informative regarding the hotel. The valet didn't acknowledge us, we had to approach them, when we arrived or text to call for our car when we were ready to leave.

The room is clean and big. Breakfast is great with a lot of healthy options. The location is very close to shopping center. Also you can easily take the city bus to surrounding areas.

My single king room was sparkling clean. I requested a higher floor (I had a little trouble selecting a room on a higher floor when checking in with the app (user error) and they were able to accommodate me right away. Service from the front desk (extra coffee & forgotten items) and the bar (generous pours and just the right amount of conversation with the bartender) was great and always cheerful. The location is ideal for anyone arriving by train (BTN). The very pleasant walk is less than ten minutes. There is an airport shuttle and valet parking.

Great hotel. Literally two blocks from Church Street, and walking distance from the train station, lake Champlain and many other places. The view of the lake was incredible from our room. They do require you to either park off site or have the option for valet only which was a bit pricey per day, when staying for several days. Other than that everything was really wonderful

My wife and I had our airliner cancel on us for vacation. We had called two times leading up to it and the service and care into their jobs was incredible. We will make it out there, but this is the best experience I have ever had (with a hotel I never stayed at. :) ) I will be making my way here within the year. Teddy in particular was a champion.

Awesomely great maintained hotel. Very clean and quiet and incredibly friendly staff. Breakfast is buffet or menu. Bar is okay if you stick with beer. Parking is valet only. Will definitely come back here to enjoy a quiet night and a huge and cozy shower.

Tremendous service. Cool cats checked us in, attended to our needs, were very chill about unloading. We parked on the street, super easy access to feed the meter. But the hotel and rooms are dated af and crazy overpriced. Like alllll hotels in Burlington.

This is a beautiful hotel right downtown so that you can walk to many things. Great rooms and staff. The only downside is that you have to valet for parking and it's not included. I won't take a star off for that because the rest of our ex0erience was amazing but do be aware.

The hotel was great. I was alone and traveling with two dogs, one very elderly. The parking team at the hotel was incredibly helpful and accommodating as I had challenges loading and unloading my car. Cypress, Yoni, Patrick, Nick, Jack and Chris, you are all great. I hope to see you again.

Located in great area! Lots to do within walking distance! The staff was great, helpful, and pleasant! The rooms were a little smaller than I expected, but they were nice and clean. Would highly recommend for a good stay with great food nearby and a gorgeous walk along the water front!

The front desk team at this hotel was definitely the highlight. They were incredibly welcoming and friendly upon arrival, and even loved on my dog. The room was a good size as was the bathroom. The shower was a little strange because you can't turn on the water unless you're in the shower, so the only option is to get hit with cold water until it warms up. Upon checkout, I referenced my valet parking ticket and texted the number to let them know I was ready to pick up my car. I arrived at the front with all of my stuff and dog, and my car wasn't ready although they weren't busy. They were able to bring it around within a few minutes but would have been nice if it were ready to go. The location is great as it's very close to Church Street Market and a lot of restaurants.

The lobby and hallways are really nice, and look newly renovated. The rooms were a little dated, and could have been cleaner. The drains for both the sink and bathtub were a little clogged too, but not a big deal. Overall it was a nice stay, with friendly staff, and a good selection of snacks and drinks!

Stayed at hundreds of Hilton Properties and never been treated like this one. I booked a room for 3 nights at $200 per night. Had a 48 hour cancellation policy which I’m outside so I’m good. Not really. So called to cancel the last night. Was put on hold and when the rep comes back she says the new rate is $350 per night so now I need to pay $700 for 2 nights vs $600 for 3. I escalated. Supervisor goes thru the same except use, contacts the hotel and says it’s correct. I asked if that the final answer and she said yes. We all have choices, my choice is to never stay at this property. Not that I don’t like it, it’s a fine property in a great location. But I have choices and I will make sure I stay at a Marriott property for the 4 years (20 stays) while my son is at UVM.

Very friendly and helpful staff. If I had some negative it would be the valet only parking. But the staff was 110% on top of what they were doing and would definitely stay here again. Quite but very central to all locations in Burlington

We stayed here for the Vermont City Marathon and the location was perfect. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The kids LOVED the pool and we also took advantage of the valet parking with in/out priveleges. We will stay here again soon!

The staff were great. The staff at the front desk and the valet team especially. The room I was upgraded to had a fantastic view, but the room had a few issues. The a/c didn’t work the first day, and when maintenance showed up they said it was a common problem. We also found dry dog food in the room upon arrival, the TV had a volume lock so we could not watch it at night because we could not lower it anymore, and the frame must have broke because the mattress was on one of those metal frames you can get cheap anywhere. Every time we moved it squeaked and made awful noises. I would stay here again, but would be pickier about the room next time. The location is great and super easy to access everything in the area.

I'm gonna start by saying the front desk people were very friendly and the only good experience about this place. Now take this review with a grain of salt, because it is coming from a socialist. I HATE how hard they try and push their rewards program. We don't travel and don't need this amount of perks. But BECAUSE we're not rewards members, they nickel and dime us at every chance. They force valet parking on us that comes with a fee. We have to pay 3$ for a very small bottle of water. There's a huge pet fee, way more than any other pet fee I've paid this trip. The beds were hard and uncomfortable and my back has still not recovered. The tub was VERY slippery. I have a mobile disability and almost fell a number of times. The whole rewards members system is meant to make people feel superior. As a socialist, I am extremely against this system. I will never stay at a Hilton again. Sorry.

Great hotel in the the heart of Burlington with very friendly service. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by the Valet who was extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The staff at the front desk asked if we had ever been to Burlington and was quick to offer a list of restaurants broken down by cuisine. The restaurant in the hotel offered food until 10pm. Many of the local restaurants were only open until 8pm or 9pm. You cannot beat the location. You could walk everywhere! We stayed at two hotels while in Burlington and I would stay at the Hilton Garden again in a heartbeat. FYI- While reading reviews before our stay, I saw people complaining of noise. They must have issues, because we did not hear anything around us. So, do not let that deter you from staying at this hotel.
