I can't say enough good things about this place. The food was all outstanding, so flavorful and crispy. The service was impeccable and they were able to make a substitution for me with no issue when I asked to have no seafood in my chicken katsu dinner box meal. Staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The prices were very reasonable for the portions and variety of food we received. We will definitely be adding this place to our regular rotation.

Had an amazing lunch again today! Kitchen Story Sushi & Korean Chicken is a delicious food experience. On my first visit a month ago, I had the Won Ton Soup for lunch. My second visit today, I ordered the Bento Lunch Tofu Lunch Box ( see pic. below). Both times the food and service were absolutely first-rate. A culinary experience. The food is high quality, fresh and flavourful. On a scale of 1-10 a definite 10. Customer service is exceptional too. The staff is friendly, attentive and give a personal touch. The manager Justin is a genuine and kind person. He took the time to come to the table and chat! He made us feel welcome, was attentive, and made sure we were enjoying our meal. I observed the other staff giving excellent customer service too! On a scale of 1-10 another 10! The restaurant was very clean, seating was comfortable and the atmosphere bright and cheery. On a scale of 1-10 another 10! They have a full take out menu too. This is the first restaurant on my list when I come to Victoria now. Don't miss out on this gem in the Westshore Mall.

A hidden gem in this mall! I would say the place is great and clean, authentic korean food and if you are looking for something spicy, well you can find it here. Must try their Korean Fried Chicken. I like how they paint the place, the colour just make this place alive. Well done.

We happened upon Kitchen Story while shopping over the weekend. Staff did everything possible to accommodate our Vegan and GF requirements. While placing the order we were taken through all the ingredients and all of the possible modifications. When the impressive offerings arrived, we learned staff made choices like pan-frying some items, in order to limit contamination from the meat items on the menu! Amazing, right! John enjoyed the (already) vegan-friendly miso soup and a tofu / noodle / veg. / rice dish. (The noodles were done in a delicious sauce and the veg. was generous and fresh. It was a hearty meal). The maki rolls came out quickly and were also fresh. We appreciated that gluten-free soy sauce was available. Overall, we found the layout of Kitchen Story felt open and easy to move through; the space was clean and the primary colours of the decor appeal to many people. The service was so great, that we encouraged the young person who took care of us have our receipt candy 🍬 (in-between serving, bussing and stocking, the young person was visible, available, helpful, and even studying the menu during down time); the person who took our order was inquisitive, patient and did a great job at anticipating our needs, and answering all of our questions. We were made to feel as though we were one of the only tables there, but actually we visited on a Sunday evening, around the dinner hour and the team pulled all of this off while orders were coming and going and other tables needed attention. One of the great things about this Kitchen Story location is that there is always lots of parking, the mall is serviced by public transit, and you can get your shopping done before or after you have something to eat. A highlight of Westshore Mall is the kids play area - it seems like a good place for the kids - if you have any in tow, to burn off some energy. We don't have any, but the play area is ALWAYS popular when we stop in.

First time to try sushi in Canada, we chose this restaurant because of its good reviews, first time to try miso soup, good quality with reasonable prices , many thanks to mrs. Young for the spring rolls compliment

Omg I love this place! It has such a positive good vibe here, the staff go above and beyond and are super friendly. Not to mention they have good top 40 music and it’s just a good place to go and enjoy some yummy food. I have had Korean fried chicken before but theirs is supppppper amazing. Highly recommend

Kitchen Story- what a lovely name and an equally lovely restaurant at the Westshore Town Centre. It's a Japanese and Korean restaurant that has a long yet easy-to-understand menu with descriptions. The food is amazing and the portions are large. Every penny is worth it. Loved the simple yet functional seating arrangement and super friendly staff. Has high chairs for kids as well. The 5-star rating is well deserved. 100% recommended.

Wow! My first time here, I was blown away. Very flavourful miso, the beef bowl had real depth of flavour, and the sushi was probably some of the best I've found lately. Can't wait to come back and try more!
