Brianna is so wonderful! I cannot thank her enough for her help, guidance and support. She made me feel so comfortable, heard and seen. She is kind and compassionate and it is clear that she truly cares about the families and babies that she works with. She helped me navigate some very challenging feeding issues. She is very thorough and knowledgeable. Brianna went above and beyond for me and sourced a certain type of bottle for my baby that I couldn't find anywhere. She encouraged me to keep advocating for myself and my baby when other professionals had said our feeding troubles were just a phase. Brianna was the one person that I felt that truly trusted and understood that there was something else going on. She checked in on me regularly and continued to be there for me even when things started to improve. With her support I was able to make it through a very challenging time and breastfeeding has gotten much better! I hope to have a long nursing journey with my baby. Thank you so much Brianna!

I am so glad I booked an in person initial consultation with Brianna. I had zero practical knowledge about breastfeeding prior to the birth of my first child and Brianna was able to walk me through everything. When baby arrived I felt super confident feeding her at the hospital. Brianna has also helped me to troubleshoot issues like low supply along the way. I probably would have given up on my breastfeeding journey if it weren't for her!

Brianna was great! I highly recommend hiring her as your lactation consultant. My daughter was very underweight a couple of weeks after she was born and was refusing to breastfeed. Brianna was great in assisting us in bringing her up to her appropriate weight! She also gave us lots of helpful advice around lactation as well as helped me with my pumping goals too! :) Brianna is very caring, compassionate and she listens carefully to your needs to come up with systematic solutions.

If you are debating whether to hire a private LC over the hospital one, please do yourself a favour and call Brianna. I can’t be grateful enough for the clarity and peace of mind she brought me. As a first time mom who had a major postpartum hemorrhage, an emergency procedure and a premature baby in the Nicu, I found zero support in the hospital staff. I was pushed to pump every 2/3h with their standard size of flanges (24mm). I developed duct blockages, sharp pain behind the nipples and inflammation. Every pumping session brought me to tears. I waited 15 days to see the hospital LC who, before even looking at my sore breasts, suggested I’d get an ultrasound as “my sensitivity was not normal”. Luckily, on the same day, Brianna came to my home. She listened to my story, sized my nipples (turns out I needed a 13mm flange!) and offered a plan designed around my OWN wellbeing. I wish the hospital offered the same level of competence and compassion rather than forcing a cookie cutter solution to every mother.

Brianna was very helpful for us in starting my breastfeeding journey. As a first time mom with no clue of what we were doing and a lot of anxiety around making sure my baby was getting enough, Brianna’s calm demeanour and reassurance helped set us on the right path. My baby ended up having a tongue and lip tie revision and Brianna’s prep with us before that procedure and her follow up was greatly appreciated. The in home visits are definitely key as well when you are newly postpartum.

I was struggling a lot with breastfeeding a few weeks in and decided to seek help from a lactation consultant. Brianna was lovely to work with. She was professional and made me feel very comfortable during our home visits. She identified my baby’s lip and tongue ties when all the doctors and nurses I saw completely missed them. Brianna was able to pinpoint the causes to the issues we were having with breastfeeding and bottle feeding and taught me ways to improve the way we were feeding, and provided a great care plan after our session. I felt more confident and empowered with feeding my baby after seeing Brianna. She played a key part in me not giving up on breastfeeding when it got so tough.

Brianna was fantastic! We had seen another LC and the strategies they recommended simply weren't working for us. Brianna was easy to communicate with and punctual, and was helpful from the moment she arrived. Within a few minutes she diagnosed a couple issues that the previous LC had overlooked. She was patient, supportive, and demonstrated strong knowledge and experience in supporting both babies and breastfeeding individuals. She checked for understanding and comfort along the way, took her time to explain things, and followed up with a detailed plan for us to follow. We were able to go from triple feeding to exclusively nursing within the week. She helped make breastfeeding much more pleasant and manageable; highly recommend if you're in need of an LC!

I was looking for a lactation consultant that was able to do in-home visits in my area, rather than going to an office setting (easier for me as I am recovering from a C-section). A quick google search led me to WeLCome Babies. Using their online booking system I was able to schedule a visit with Amanda within a few days. She was extremely kind and professional, took time to listen to all of my concerns, and asked a lot of questions about myself and baby. This translated to a very detailed care plan that was easy for me to follow. The timeliness of the consultation and uploading of the care plan was great - I received the plan within a few hours of the visit, with all of the resources, referrals, and links we discussed. Amanda is very knowledgeable and provided a lot of reassurance/put my mind at ease about how to best support baby and have success in my breastfeeding journey. I would highly recommend their services to anyone who is struggling with latch issues, tongue ties, milk supply, etc.

I’ve worked with Brianna twice with both of my children. Once in 2020 and again in 2023. She is attentive, kind and knowledgeable. Brianna swiftly noticed that both my children had tongue ties and gave her recommendations of what step to do next. Both my kids really struggled in the beginning with breastfeeding. However, with Brianna help my son breastfeed for 2 1/2 years and hopefully my daughter will be the same. I recommend Brianna to anyone who is planning on breastfeeding. She’s a great asset to have in those early newborn days. Thank you Brianna for all your hard work!

As a new mom the learning curve was steep. Brianna helped me navigate my sons weight loss from 65 percentile to 26 percentile by eliminating the use of a shield and transferring more milk to baby. The weighted feed was a real eye opener. She is lovely to have in your home for such a personal and private consultation. Would recommend to any new mother needing the extra support.
