Gourmet alert! Everyone who loves European style pastries should come check The Italian Bakery! When I came today and saw the right meringue I lost it. I think it’s the first time I found meringue in Canada. Not the pie, meringue. It smelled right, like fresh eggs. I tried 6 different desserts, and small portion sizes are just perfect. Delicious! Seriously delicious, lots of texture, and in gingersnaps there is real ginger. It’s good I live far away from that place, because when I was leaving I bought 6 extra cookies to go. They also have selection of fresh bread, homemade pasta, and pizza dough. Ah, and coffee was 👌 I wish I could buy smaller cakes or slices, there is not a chance I can eat that size alone.

Absolutely amazing food and baked goods with the most helpful and kind staff. Hands down one of if not the best European bakeries in Victoria. It's like walking into a bakery in Italy. From opening the door to the smell of roasted hazelnuts and seeing the case filled with the most delectable desserts a d cookies, to the fine selection of imported tomato sauces, noodles and cheeses. Also did I mention they make their own pasta and have the most delicious fresh gelato you've ever tasted? An absolute must go. You won't fail to immediately start snacking on a fresh baguette on your way out. They will even make and/or save you bread if you call ahead! Never have to worry about going a day with that delicious daily essential.

Grab there some pastries and hot drinks for breakfast, quite good.

LOVE this bakery. Come here for lunch all the time. Great sandwiches, cookies, breads and their pasta features are unreal. We recently had the most amazing gnocchi in alfredo sauce with sausage. And a mushroom risotto, so flavourful and fresh and I just keep coming back.

Yummy - great assortment of treats pastries as well as loaves. Stopped here and found a mouth watering sausage roll as well as some delicious pizza bread. Stop in and enjoy

I've been coming to the Italian bakery since I was a little girl.. fast forward to today I'm still a fan. Lovely staff and wonderful cakes/pastries/bread and breakfast sandwiches!! My mouth is watering as I type this!

Shoutout to my roommate for brining me here. This place is legit. For the variery of pastries to the assortment of breads to their fresh pizza dough, which made an absolutely delectable pizza, The Italian Bakery has a fan in me. Update: I had to 5-star for their fresh baked bread...

I love every single product of this bakery, the sandwich breads are rare in north America, I had something like that in Europe and middle east! Grip fruit sorbet was amazing. The only downside of this bakery is the cleanness in sitting area, if it was cleaner I would go there more oftentimes

The Italian bakery provided us with desserts for our wedding last weekend, and we were blown away by how beautiful and delicious they were. The baker, Ana was a joy to work with and even made a perfect olive oil orange cake that I had been wanting but couldn't find another baker to agree to make! Our guests were raving about the desserts throughout the night! Ana was endlessly sweet, checking in on us and providing excellent communication throughout the whole experience, even during some of their busiest times in the bakery. Go get your bread, cakes, and pastries here - THEY ARE THE BEST :)

Great Italian baked goods. Lots of selections.

This is legitimately THE only place in victoria to get an actual gelato, and that is all you need to know, the pistachio gelato is real and it will grab you by the ear and grind your face along the cobbles of a small villa just outside Naples. The bread is also very good.

Can’t say enough about the genuineness of the baking that Alberto has commandeered over the decades he has worked at the Bakery. The quality of the ingredients is second to none. All ingredients are locally sourced. Many of the berries are hand picked by the owner, Alberto! The taste is fabulous!! This is a dying breed so make sure you treat yourself to all the great tasting baking in this shop!! You won’t be sorry.

Wonderful staff. Delicious cannoli. Their pizza dough is my new fave; it bakes up chewy, light and it stretches beautifully. Love The Italian Bakery.

Best pasta in town, I had the gnocchi pesto and the spinach ravioli. They were cooked al dente and absolutely delicious. I would recommend this place for pasta to any other upscale Italian restaurants in town. They also have amazing baked treats and gelato.

I love this place. They have some pasta and panini menu at lunch time. After I tried pasta here, I fall in love with fresh pasta. I always visit here every time I go to Victoria.

This is one busy place. With all the treats they have to offer, I understand why. The staff are friendly, prompt, and professional. The baked goods are delectable. They make these incredible savory olive rolls, pizzette slices, breakfast buns, vegetarian croissant sandwiches, lasagna, and pizza kits complete with dough, Marina sauce, and cheese. They also make a variety of sweet treats, have a full service coffee bar, and a wonderful variety of gelato in cones or cups (my favs are mango and lime). Open Wednesday - Saturday, 9-5.
