This is the most poorly run pharmacy I have ever experienced. Shoppers Drug Mart Company - please, I beg of you…figure out what is going on there and help them! Losing prescriptions, cancelling things, giving out pills that weren’t subscribed. When I sit and wait for a prescription (that was supposed to be filled days ago) I watch customer after customer have an issue. So much frustration! They aren’t a bad crew - they just need some help because no one seems to have a clue what is going on there!!!!

I have used Shoppers drug mart for many years in Calgary, never had a problem, all staff were very helpful. since moving to Duncan shoppers here is the worst drug store I have ever had to deal with, went in with a prescription was told it would be ready next day, went back next day wasn't ready went back next day still had to wait. That was three times that I had to back for something

September 2, 2022 After my 1:15 pm phone appointment with my GP, my prescription was faxed into Shoppers Drug Mart Duncan, BC. My GP had me pause on the phone while he made sure the request was sent to Shoppers Drug Mart , Duncan, BC. At 3:26 pm I called the Shoppers Drug mart to confirm if my prescription was received and prepared as I needed to take the medication. The lady advised there was nothing received from my Dr., and to call him and confirm it. Which I did. They resent the request. I called Shoppers Drug Mart back and spoke with a man this time, who was very impatient with my conversation and interrupted me while I was trying to explain my story, at which I requested he let me finish speaking before being interrupted. Once I finished my explanation, he checked their incoming prescriptions and advise it had been received, this was at about 3:40 pm, and he advised they could have this ready for me for 4:30 pm which I advised I would let my husband know as he was picking it up for me, thank you , good bye. Upon my husband arriving at Shoppers Drug Mart, they searched and searched for the prescription. Once the pharmacy helper found it he handed it to the pharmacist for review. At which time the pharmacist advised the helper it was done incorrectly and they would have to redo it. They didn’t advise my husband of that at first, they just left him waiting. My husband asked them “did they loose it” at that time the pharmacist advised my husband to “chill”. My husband advised them that we were told the prescription would be ready at 4:30 pm. What was the problem. They got their backs up and advised that they just received the prescription from the Dr and we were lucky they were doing it. At which my husband advised, if it was an issue if they could not get it done right we could take it to another store. And at that point the pharmacist became very argumentative and instructed the helper to stop the order and for us to take it to another store. Finally after banter back and forth they completed the prescription and we paid for the order. At that time my husband was instructed by the pharmacist we were not allowed in the store any more. We have been lifelong customers at Shoppers. This is not our first unfriendly incident at the pharmacy. This is indeed the last. As your 2.4 star rating reflects, we are not the only unsatisfied customers. Good bye Shoppers Drug Mart. Cindy & Jim Sarpalius

You know i’ve had an on going issue with this store! Since moving to the area I had expected the same level of customer service as i have always received from shoppers . This location does not meet it by any means! Pharmacy staff are rude , do not go over the medication with you can take days to get medication. The stores hours are not as specified either on line or by the giant sign on the store stating open till 12 am. And then today I went to return an item I got from here at the end of January . It is already not working after not even 2 months and it’s over $100. The managers simply stated they would not be willing to even give store credit and that i could take it up with the manufacture! Very Condescending and honestly just not at all willing to help at all. I will NEVER step foot in this store again! I am an extremely faithful Shoppers shopper , we only get our meds and sundries from shoppers and this location will never see our money again. Shame on you for such garbage service

Went there 5 minutes before closeing, knowing what i was to purchase, to find the doors locked. After speaking with one of the employees, they allowed me to come in to shop. I assured them I knew what I wanted to purchase, and after reaching for the third item, the employer was very rude, and kept repeating, it's time to leave. I've worked in grocery stores and and customer service for over 25 years, and never treated a last minute shopper like this. I'll be taking my business elsewhere and sharing my story.

Website said this Duncan location had flu shots. Drive from Shawnigan Lake to Duncan, when arrived told me they only do them on certain days. Conflicting information that is on their website. Called store today to see if they had any as that is what was advised from lady in store. Waited on hold for 30 mins. Heard someone on other line after 30 mins of waiting, but they were not speaking to me, I could hear things going on in background. They hung up. I called back, selected an option again, to wait more. Someone answered, transferred me, I explained what happened they didn’t seem to care, they just said sorry one moment and passed me off to the next person, that person answered then transferred me. Then I waited on hold even longer. When I reached My destination on phone, I was then told they “should”have some, so not a definite answer. So in total I spent an hour trying to figure out if this store has flu shots. I will drive again to this location to see, not confident. And the customer service here is lacking.

Standing at the door sign clearly says store opens at 0800. It’s 0830 doors are locked. Someone inside yells that they open at 0900. I question the sign. The answer is they have not changed it yet. Great excuse for poor customer service.

I go to this store often. Everything is what it is for this National type chain. However the store hours and signage have been out of whack for 3 years now. When do "temporary" store hours become permanent? I would say just change your signage it has been years now. You aren't open the hours on the door an wont be. The tattered piece of paper with scotch tape on the door is just ghetto. Shoppers / Superstore can afford to change the signage to properly reflect the hours. ** Edit with Pics ** So... I guess my review was read and they laminated the "temporary hours" (3 years isn't temporary by the way) but they didn't remove any other signage or hours. Seriously what would it cost for a multi billion dollar company to change the signage in the store to reflect a permanent change?

Pharmacy and store staff, especially the beauty counter, are really helpful. Unfortunately the prices aren’t the best, and furthermore, I don’t feel very safe in the parking lot in the evening. They do accept and fill new prescriptions very quickly, however!

I had a bad treatment and service from photo section staff despite the fact that I paid 195 Canadian dollars to get the photos

Shoppers hours say that they’re open till 7 (posted on the door). I just tried to go in now and the doors are locked. They’re closed.

Do. Not. Come. Here if you want prescriptions fully filled and done on time. I've given you guys far too many chances and every single time it's the same damn thing. Either its a lost prescription or they just completely forgot to even do it so I have to sit around for 45 minutes while the staff scrambles to get it done. More often than not they can't fill the whole order either so I have to come back a few days later to play the same game again. No more. I'm completely done with you guys, I'll go elsewhere from now on.

The weekly flyer shows an item on sale for Saturday and Sunday ONLY. Upon being at the store when it opens the shelve is empty. This has happened before. Don't believe everything you see in the flyer. The item was Ensure brand replacement shakes.

What a terrible experience. I wandered around the store looking for someone to ask about passport photos; no one was available. Finally lined up at the one cash register that was open, when I got there, the young fellow turned to a young woman at the end of the counter and said " She wants another one". This clearly annoyed the girl who said " I just turned the machine off. " Suffice it to say, all downhill from there. Rude and uncommunicative.I will NOT be shopping there again.

100% would not recommend Shoppers in Duncan as a Pharmacy. Store is clean and prepackaged items when found are convenient. Multiple calls / follow-ups are required to get important prescriptions or refills available. Staff state that they run days behind in dispensing prescriptions, and they are lacking drugs needed. Hours for the pharmacy have already been greatly reduced so if you're still unable to keep up add proper staff levels or stop being a pharmacy.

I’ve had some issues transferring my prescription over from my old province. I’ve called this shoppers four times over the last two months attempting to sort out the issue and connect them with my doctor. After all of that they weren’t able to find the prescription that was sent through and I’m still without the medication I need. I understand being busy but I shouldn’t have to nag anyone to do their job.
