This place is amazing! So fun and nostalgic, the food is amazing too! Everything is so fresh, burgers are delivered, buns baked in house and the fries are hand cut every day! The staff were super friendly and chatted with us while we ordered. The milkshakes are so good too! We ordered the Texas one and the LA one...1000000% going again!

It was such a wonderful experience knowing that your burger is freshly made on the spot. Their fries were awesome too and can’t forget their milkshakes, though I wish it was larger in size. Overall, if you are not looking for anything that’s fancy but authentic food, highly recommend 50’s Burger.

Wow, what an amazing burger! Absolutely tasty and delicious. For sure, one of the best qualities I've had in Vancouver and for the price it is way too good. You can actually taste the meat, all the extras in the burger, the fresh home made bun, and plus all of that, the fries are great too. I can't believe how good and cool this drive through burger shop is! It looks great and has an awesome atmosphere! Definitely coming back!

This is my third time at this location. I came once and the food was great, I got the pulled pork sandwich (4 years ago). The second time was a month later and the chicken sandwich I got was completely raw in the middle. Then manager yelled at staff in-front of me and when I asked for my money back insisted he give me new food. It was an extremely uncomfortable experience. I came today around 11:45 to try it again thinking it’s been a long time and the first time was good. Most of the sandwiches were different. I ordered two burgers and a shake. They looked great at first, size was to be desired but when I started eating them they were bad. The flavour competition on the Texas BBQ was wack 1/10. The flavour didn’t even make sense together and was just bad. The second burger was the Hawaiian. It was a 2.5/10. The flavour just tasted like nothing as I ate it. We got a large strawberry shake. It was nothing special and extremely small -see juice box for size comparison. I feel like fast food would be better. Unfortunately the portion sizes and flavour is substantially better at A&W. The bun got soggy as I ate it and was falling apart. There is not much seating outside. We sat in the back. There was a child’s play basketball net and a bunch of garbage and random things behind the two large trees. The staff weren’t rude or friendly. They seemed like they were just trying to get through the day. Not to mention the man wandering around on drugs grabbing at all the junk around the property. I would not recommend bringing your family here, as I with my 6ft5 partner did not feel safe.

This burger joint serves the juiciest burgers that are a taste sensation! I had a chicken burger which is perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. With every bite, you'll experience a burst of flavor that will leave you craving for more. It's a must-visit place for burger lovers!

Absolutely phenomenal service and all around experience from the moment we arrived: - Placing our order with the owner himself (who asked us to read his mission statement while grabbing us fresh fries to sample), - The genuine passion, love and enthusiasm exuding from the owner, - Checking out all the wicked memorabilia and signage around the shoppe while waiting for our food, - waiting less than 15 mins on a beautiful day (family day holiday Monday), - Enjoying every single bite of our HANDMADE COOKED TO ORDER FRESH NOT PROCESSED food. - You also had the option to Walk in, Drive through, park and order, or call your order in ahead. 50's Burgers is a total retro experience, that is pretty much guaranteed to leave a smile on your face and make your tummy happy! My only criticism: - I ordered the retro soda shake (Americana orange cream soda with vanilla icecream) and for some reason it had strawberry syrup in it 🤔 which was unexpected and not to my liking. I would've returned it and am positive the owner would've given me a new one but we were in a hurry to get to the ferry.

Great experience here, food is good. They stress no preserve food. The waiting time is longer as but is freshly made after order so it is fair. We had fish and chips, chicken burger and a kids meal. Onion fries are good and chocolate milkshake ;)

Delicious when hot. I liked all the fillings (meat, lettuce, mushroom, bacon, red onion, grilled onion, cheese, tomato), but didn't care for the "baked in house" bun. The burger tasted what a burger should taste like. Decent fries. We waited for 40 min, so call ahead or expect to wait during peak times. Got our burgers at 8pm! Most diners left already!

I ordered a Bull dog, it was juicy & yummy. The bun was made in the shop and it had some herbs… it smelled pretty amazing! The fries tasted like home made fries! What I like the most was how they provide me with a napkin, a wet towel & a catch-up without putting my order in a plastic bag! Bryan who is the owner & took my order, is funny and very friendly! I will definitely go back!

Customer service was not great. It was hard to communicate and confirm orders. After waiting 30 mins for our order one item was incorrect. Food looked good but buns were stale, and patty was small. Fries and onion rings were ok. Milkshake was also ok. We are out back and it could definitely use a makeover. (tables were dirty luckily I had wet wipes) Will not be back, and you'll have a better burger at a&w.

The entire process of the hamburger is made at home, the ingredients such as the bread, the vegetables and the meat feel fresh. the environment reminds you of good and pleasant family environments, with recipes that do not have processed foods. It's by far one of the best in Vancouver, I haven't had a better one yet. I will definitely be back to try them all.

Great burger, tremendous value. Milkshake was extremely delicious. Burger was tender, juicy with a generous amount of toppings. The bun was delicious. I haven’t been there in 10 years. Forgot they still existed. Definitely will be going back again soon.

Saw mixed reviews, but thought we give it a try ourselves. It was a bit disappointing. I’m a small eater, and the London secret burger by itself was sufficient for me. My husband had the Alberta classic meal and it wasn’t anything special. Our burgers did not look nearly as good as the ones shown on their website. If we’re in the area and are looking for food, we may come back, but definitely not a place we need to make our way over for.

Great experience. The man who I assume you be the owner, was so friendly and personable. You can tell the passion he has for the food he makes and serves. Fries are really good, portions are a good size, burger is filling, I probably could have gone with the smaller one and been more than satiated. Buns are made in house but don't stand up well to the burger and all it's toppings. It's a messy, get a napkin at the end kind of burger, thankfully they included a wet wipe.

Homemade food that tastes like homemade food! Real good. I got a burger, fries and a drink for 10 bucks! It was very busy and it was over half hour wait but it was worth it. Good place to grab some good home cooking.

Thumbs down! Bully owner! I had take-out order of "London Secret" with mushrooms. I'll give you a brief summary of my experience: - I got the wrong order, they made it with bacon - there was no cheese - "sauteed" onion was raw - the ban was obviously old, the top was dry as a desert and the bottom was so soggy that it fell apart - the worst was the patty, it was tasteless and extra dry All in all, it was disgusting. I called to complain, the person who answered the phone apologized and said they would reimburse me. I went back the next day, had the "honor" of meeting the owner, who is incredibly rude and disrespectful - a bully, who wouldn't let me speak. He yelled at me, he said he made his own hamburgers, they're the best, and he won't pay me back my money. See for yourselves how "the best" burger looks. Almost forgot: the ants were crawling all over the counter, can't even imagine how sanitary the kitchen is! So, if you want to waste your money, go ahead. Also, make sure that you got what you paid for. Needless to say, they're never going to see my friends and family again.

My husband had a LA combo with fries and strawberry milkshake. I had the LA combo with onion rings and diet Coke. The burgers were fresh, tasty, juicy and cooked to perfection. Everything were delish!!! Awesome customer service too. We would definitely go back. Happy to support local community whenever possible!!!

Absolute perfection, magical burgers, definitely coming back. We had the LA king burger and fries. It was sooo good. Best burger I had in lower mainland.

This unassuming little shop is located in a rather inconspicuous spot. Visiting here really gives you the feeling of stepping back in time to the 1950s. The interior of the shop is a bit cramped and cluttered, but there’s outdoor seating available. The La King Burger is truly amazing! You can check out my photos; the ingredients are generous, flavorful, and juicy. The bread in this restaurant is utterly captivating! Their milkshakes are also highly recommended. I ordered a vanilla milkshake this time, and it was very rich and delicious, without being overly sweet, which is quite rare. I hope more people can support such great restaurants that offer delicious and filling food at a reasonable price.

Love the boss! Funny, awesome guy. He cracks jokes, and claims that his burgers are the freshest, best in CANADA. THE WORST PART IS THE WAIT. 15-20min wait for your order to be served. It's worth the wait though, because they taste hot off the grill. If you expect fast food, you may want to consider otherwise. He even has a sign saying "$50 cash to reward to any burger in Canada cooked the same way that tastes better than ours." I think the burgers have a decent patty, lots of sauce and customization, like one egg for a dollar, their buns however break apart easily as you grip tightly to take a bite. Milkshakes are average price, for inflation nowadays. They taste much more natural and refreshing than triple-O's even. Do upgrade to the combo for sure!

We have been here a couple of times and it was a mixed experience. First of all, burgers are good. Buns are allegedly house made which tasted alright to me though my partner found it nothing special. Overall we liked the burgers though portion size could be little bigger. Place has limited seating in and out but as it isn’t usually busy you should be able to find seatings most of times.

Ordered 2 LA King Burger combo with milkshake. And a marinara dip with extra charge. Came home realized order missing the dip. Somehow, the size of the milkshake are different too? But paid the same price. Waited for 40mins in the restaurant for the incorrect order. Disappointed. No doubt that the food is good.
