It was the first time my husband and I went to this restaurant (we moved here recently) and we were impressed. To start, the hostess was very polite, made small talk while walking us to our table. Jasmin was our server and she made sure that we had such a great experience! From the timing that she gave us to look at the menu to the food being served, everything was perfect! She also checked in a few times to make sure everything was good and did not leave our glasses empty! I ordered the chicken teriyaki rice bowl and husband ordered the hamburger with yam fries, and both were very very good! We will definitely be back.

I came here with a group of friends and we really enjoyed our time here. One thing I love about Cactus Club is how consistent the quality is across the board no matter which location you go to. We were greeted with kind smiles and sat promptly at our reserved table. Our server Ramdan was very attentive with a great smile. The food as always was delicious. The washrooms were clean. We celebrated a birthday today and they brought out a nice slice of cheesecake for the birthday girl. Thank you for the excellent quality and service!

Had the cheddar bacon burger out on the patio. It was outstanding! Substituted the regular fries for the truffle fries. I also ordered a plate of calamari for the appetizer and an iced tea. First off, the calamari was incredible. I loved the slightly-spicy sauce and the jalapenos. Next up, the iced tea was superb! Would have liked refills, but it was super! Finally, the burger was delicious. As for the fries - I have had the salt fries before and thought I would give a try with the truffle fries. I liked them, but the regular fries I liked more. Highly recommended going here! Nice atmosphere and friendly service.

Came back after a "not so good" previous experience here.. Staff were accommodating, friendly and best of all no mistakes were made and food/experience was great! Special shout out to Jaimie, she is a fantastic server, just as fantastic as last time!

I’m not a chain-restaurant goer, but when I’m Coquiltlam, this Cactus Club has started being a go-to. The quality food and service service are impressive… Especially thinking of Robson Street - cows. If you know - you know…. Cactus has done a great job with the fusion menu and we always do a smorgasbord of appies… Tuna Stack, Lettuce Wrap, Salt Pepper Wings, Crispy Chicken and Yam Fries! We also like the Cajun Chicken, and Ribs. And who doesn’t love a Lava Cake???

Came here for the ‘taste of the tri cities’ menu. It’s the same menu that was presented in Vancouver for dine out. Unfortunately the food was disappointing. The chicken and pickles super oily. The steak frites, requested medium rare were cooked unevenly and partially burnt on the outside. There was four of us. One upgraded to a filet, the filet was smaller than the rest of our steaks and costed and additional 15$. We ordered the same menu at the Byrne location and they did it 100% better. I do not recommend this location. Hope they reevaluate when sending out food. My steak was pretty burnt on one side I would have never sent it out. In the photo of the four steak frites. Mine was on the bottom right. You could see how burnt the steak is. It tasted burnt too. It wasn’t a nice char.

Service was on point, we were greeted and brought to our seats quickly. Waitress was attentive, and made well informed suggestions for us. Food tasted absolutely amazing. They cooked my steak exactly how it should be. Atmosphere and vibes were great. They even brought out a slice of cake for my Birthday, which I appreciate very much! Thank you for having us, we will continue to eat here for years to come!

Stopped in quietly for our 16th anniversary and the food was amazing. We shared the millionaire’s cut with sides of butternut squash ravioli, prawns and Szechuan lettuce wrap. They even split the steak on two plates for us. We had quite the spread and just the right amount of food with a little take home too. Rarely am I ever really impressed dinning out, but the food here was on point. Steak was next level and asparagus was cooked perfectly. Cocktails, alcoholic and non, are really good, chill atmosphere and friendly staff. Can’t go wrong here and I hope the team keeps up the great work 👍🏻

First time at this location and we had a great time! We walked in on a Saturday night and could immediately get seated due to some cancellations which was a really nice surprise as we were expecting at least 30 mins of wait time. When the server brought our drinks we noticed one of them wasn’t the one we ordered but the server was helpful and changed the drink for us. The food was good as always.

Place is trendy food is above average quality +. Time was good there & service was good & friendly. Its just too long of waits between drinks, rounds, or courses. We were not in a rush so its ok with us. Alicia was a good hostess during are time there.

Our server was a very sweet young lady, she made my girlfriend's and I 1 year anniversary awesome. The desert was pretty good too. The food was good but the portions were small

As always Cactus Club Cafe restaurants offering an excepcional and wonderful service to their customers. All plates served in the right portion also with amazing flavours. Also don’t forget about the amazing and delicious desserts as well. Suggestion: CHOCOLATE LAVA CAKE, CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER CRUNCH BAR & NEW YORK CHEESECAKE.

It’s our second visit with one of my friend. The steaks both time were medium. Tasting and the cook didn’t disappoint. The only thing I’m not aware of if it was served on a heated plate. The steak got cool quite fast when I was dining inside. Hot summer heat outside in the patio definitely better. Nice waiter and waitress and we were seated in a timely matter. Definitely will visit again!

Cactus Club Cafe on Schoolhouse Street Coquitlam is the best. They have menu choices for everyone and the customer service is second to none!

Great place and wonderful staff! We celebrated our anniversary at Cactus Club and they made us feel welcomed. Hussein A. was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! He is the best waiter we have EVER encountered! The food came out fast! It was hot, fresh and delicious. Dessert was to die for, great experience overall. We are hooked!

We tried the Vancouver Dining Out 3 course meal, $45/EA and ordered another salmon belly sushi. Ravioli shrimp & fried chicken were the set appetizers that we chose, the ravioli was amazing but the chicken batter was too thick and hard compared to the ones I had at other Cactus Club. I chose steak while my husband got the Creole chicken, both were great, but my husband thought the asparagus was a bit overcooked. There were only 2 options for dessert so we ordered both, cream cheese and chocolate bar, well, we didn't like either of them. In general, the quality met the expectation at the pricing. The kids at another table were too noisy but well, what can they do about it? I wish the light was brighter, it was too dark in the restaurant.

Chicken tenders were somewhat dry but mashed potatoes tasted very good. Hunter chicken sauces/dressing was little strong on the sour side Chocolate lava cake is exceptional at all times Atmosphere is nice but some tables were too loud Very good seating capacity in the restaurant. We made an online reservation so we’re seated pretty quick Neat and clean and huge washroom space

We stopped by for a snack and some drinks during happy hour after shopping at home sense. The food came quickly and the service was excellent. We received the prawn sushi instead of the salmon sushi. Not only did they bring us the correct sushi in minutes, they gave us the prawn roll free of charge. Thank you for the wonderful service.

I got a seat at the patio, which had a cheery ambience. The place was quite packed as it was a weekend. I have Celiac & also prefer vegetarian, so I ordered :- - Drink(spirit free) : Soul Revival , it was quite refreshing with flavours of mint & lemon. - Dish : Med bowl, with less kale , extra rice & no olives. It was decently well. - Truffle fries (on the go) - & vanilla ice cream : I always love their silky rich ice-cream. The service was good, the hosts & servers attend to you in time and check with you regarding the food etc. It was a standard Cactus Club Cafe experience.

Ordered from the set menu. The chicken appy was delicious. Kale salad needs some pickles or some type of sweetness and acidity to it. We got our main dish, the steaks. My husband upgraded his steak but tasted just the same as our steaks. Wondering why the salad we received with our steak was the same as our appetizer. I think it should be different ie. Cooked veg or other seasonal veg. I wasn't able to finish the salad I got with my steak because it was too much. Overall food is okaaaaayy. The fried chicken with pickles were the best dish.

ordered online and did curbside pickup. good thing i ordered in advance as they get super busy and time slots get filled up quick. there was an issue with my order that i realized once we got home. i called and they were very apologetic and were able to make it up to me since i had to go back a second time. great customer service!

I visited for Dine-out. Waitress was very kind and food was great. Looks like very busy even though it was Monday afternoon but food served very fast.

Came here for friend's birthday dinner. The food was absolutely good and I was able to substitute the mashed potato to plain rice (because rice is life for me ^^). The waiter who served us were good and are making sure we have everything we wanted. The restaurant gave us 2 different kind if Birthday cake. Which is really nice of them. 2 Birthday cake for 2 person celebrating. (We reserved our table of 6, 5 days ahead coz it seems like every restaurants are busy lately).

I’ve always loved coming to Cactus Club. I was in town recently and thought I couldn’t leave without ticking it off my list. Upon arrival, my guests and I were extremely disappointed to find out that the tuna stack was no longer on the menu. We couldn’t believe it! Please bring it back!! We ended up ordering a couple drinks - jalapeño margarita, Bellini, and sangria. They were all great. For food we ordered - fish tacos with truffle fries, crispy tofu bowl, salmon aburi roll, and yam fries. Was all really good but we were still missing the tuna stack - had to remove one star for that.

Visited cactus club for the first time and it was a very good experience!! The food was top notch!! We ordered truffle fries twice, sushi, green thai curry and the veggie burger!! Trust me it is a place to go and chill with your loved ones

I had to pause to take a picture of the steak because it was medium-rare, and not many times do we get it cooked exactly how we want it. I was really hungry and went straight to eat so didn't think of taking a picture of Steak Frites during happy hour (since I always order this). Only loss of one star because the server took a really long time to get around to serving us and also sat at the restaurant for a good 15 minutes before we could ask for the bill. Just a little more prompt/check-in once in awhile would be good but overall good service and good food. Servers are also great at building rapport.

Came in for a quick bite and a drink. Ended up staying for the great ambience and great service from Takara!! She was prompt and attentive to all our foodie needs, definitely recommend for any occasion!

Been to this Cactus club over 20times. Always very predictable and desirable food. Every time we come we order an appy and an entree, this time for appetizer we ordered the chili 🐔 and the prawn 🦐 sushi 🍣 crunch roll. It has this fried prawns on top of a rice roll, but the rice roll is a little bland. So the crunch is nice but the sushi part was ok. I'd add something to the rice part to make it stand out more. The chili chicken was good I came with these little wonton fried chips of sort. For the entre we ordered steak frites and the chicken 🐔 creole. Chicken was cooked perfectly and the mash potatoes were so tasty. I recommend that dish for sure! Steak 🐄 is always hard to comment on because it could be cooked nicely but still chewy if it is not a good cut, hard to tell, so next time I'd pay a $8 💸 more for the filet and skip the sirloin. Just my two cents, 😸 but it's the 2nd time that has happened. A bad thing I notice is that the wine🍷 is offered in 5 and 8oz sizes. Used to be 6 and 9oz, I really do not like that🤔, feel like they are ripping me off. I ordered a 8-oz glass of wine and felt like I was short changed 💰 regardless of the price I paid. So moving forward I will not order the wine, and advise that you don't either until they fix this. The atmosphere was great they were playing 90s r&b, and the server was nice and convinced me to try the kale salad with my steak frites and was pleasantly surprised!

Food was pretty decent. We got the ravioli, chicken tenders and prawn sushi. Unfortunately the service was very lacking. Our server was Pavel. Seemed like he really didn't want to be there. Our greeting took a long time, he barely checked up on us and when he did he was walking away before we were finished answering the simple question of "how's everything tasting?". He even didn't make eye contact until the very end when we paid. The server in the section over from him attended to us more often, refilled our waters and got an order in for us since we couldn't get a hold of our own server.

The ambience is lively and really busy. We ordered crispy chicken burgers, crab cake and nashville chicken. The food was really sumptuous! Having had the crabcakes for the first time, I really loved them. Prices are a little on the higher end but the quantity, taste and the overall experience of the place balances it out.

My girlfriends had set this evening up at cactus club to celebrate my birthday . The food was amazing … we started with 4 appies and they all tasted delicious. Service was great. Our server always made sure to come by and check in on us, whether they be drinks or seeing how everything was. Their entries didn’t disappoint either. And they were kind enough to give me a complimentary cheesecake to celebrate my special day. Overall I had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend this cactus club. It made my special celebration even more special. Thank you.

front desk person barely looked at us when asking if we had reservations (we did), then never told us WHERE to wait outside, so when we were summoned back in 3 mins later, she asked us again if we had reservations.... we felt rather invisible at that point. But inside experience with our dinner made up for it...Food fantastic, big portions and our waiter Justin fantastic. Very enjoyable once inside.

Had a wonderful third wedding anniversary dinner at Cactus on Schoolhouse, Coquitlam. Special thanks to our server Megan who made the occasion memeorable with her warm and gracious service and a lava cake for my wife. Thanks Cactus and Megan we will see you soon. Lyn & Raj.

I thought we could enjoy the happy hour menu after 9pm last night. Didn't know it's not offering on Fridays but the server should have at least notice us when I was ordering, pointing on items over that menu. Bad surprise for sure when I found out I had to pay like 50% more and only then she told me "yeah, it's not offering on Fridays" ya, thank you so x much.

Vegetarians should be informed that Cactus Club Veggie Burgers are NOT cooked on a separate grill *** this should also be listed on the menu. Most vegetarians would assume a veggie burger would be cooked in a different section.

This place has always been very consistent, I've never had a mix up with my order, servers have always been polite and efficient. The parking can be crazy, located next to a strip mall can be very busy. I've basically given up showing up on a fri or sat evening without a reservation. Weekday wait time for me has been 20 to 70 mins. Also if your very very covid conscious this place doesn't quite space you out like earls or the keg. Its pretty good, Plexiglass has been setup and masks are required when u leave your table.

Get takeout from here all the time and it is consistently the best. Also their gluten free buns are the best from any restaurant i’ve been to.

the place was clean and looked tidy the first glance around ,menu was selective and souted us pleasingly ,this would be my fifth visit to various cactus club cafe very good and service was excellent.

This location was great. Cactus always has fantastic food, first time having their burger and it was delicious! I took the top bun off ..I wish I substituted for a lettuce burger. I didn’t get the servers name but she was so lovely reminded me of a passionate flight attendant)! She was really lovely and catered our table well.

A must-visit for me every time I'm in the Vancouver area! Reliably great food and drinks and Ayesha N is just the best. I ask for her section and I know I am going to be well taken care of. Friendly, helpful, and on top of it all - every time.

After a long day of adulting, and trying to follow as many covid protocols to stay productive with daily life, I really just wanted to be around good vibes, great food, and of course people that celebrate but also nurture the values that I hold deeply to my heart, So Schoolhouse Cactus has been the place where people like Bianca, and Ayesha make me feel seen, not only do they follow the rules and regulations to the T! Briana was comforting, and friendly, And Ayesha genuinely made feel I was the only customer she had, she took care of not only my needs, but those that I did not have time to notice, my drink, water, even to the sauces for my fries she cared for. You know when you just wanna be around friends that take care of you? I found mine at Cactus Club Schoolhouse. This isn't a restaurant, this is a place where friends go to celebrate the greatest of their achievements.. Thank you Ayesha, I'm grateful to have a good friend in you.

One of my favorite restaurants to dine. We had the 2 for $60 deal, which includes an appetizer, 2 Entrées and a dessert.

To wait for an hour, during a pandemic, to get a seat at the restaurant is outrageous. It is very disrespectful and an unfair expectation to have of your faithful patrons to wait this long ( or longer in some cases). I love Cactus Club, so I expect the leadership to come up with an innovative solution to address this issue and not to consider this as a 'way to be'. This is 2021, as a society, we have pivoted in a way that is unprecedented. I am sure you can find a way to address this issue. Suggestion: Olive Garden allows their patrons to sign up for their wait list when they leave their home; this cuts down the wait time at the door. Thank you.
