I walked in and was so impressed with the variety of crafts! They have a lot of drawing and painting. A bit less for felting or invitations but I thoroughly was amazed at all the ideas I gathered. Second floor are frames - a bit pricey. Lots of parking in the lot! Highly recommend this place, prices are reasonable. Tip: bring student card for 10% discount.

DeSerres has always been my favourite art store. My sister used to work at this location and everyone seems friendly, knowledgeable and are very helpful. They've branched out into more crafts and other projects (such as tie dye and puzzles, among others) beyond the traditional arts of drawing and painting. It's an absolutely great place for children and adults alike to get into art or continue their artistic journey. Definitely worth a look around, you might be surprised with what you can find!

I like their selection of 15 ml tubes of Daniel Smith watercolors. You won't find a selection like that at Michaels. And the staff is knowledable and helpful. Prices are not too bad either. Check it out if you haven't already.

For the new and mature artist a reasonable selection of paints, canvases and activities. Well laid out for your convenience with friendly, helpful and professional staff. There is a parking area on the west side of the building for about -15 cars

Shopping at DeSerres at Grandview is always an amazing experience. The staff is very welcoming and helpful and all the merchandise is very well organized. However my experience today exceeded even these high standards. The gentleman that helped me pick out some oil paint supplies today (dec/30/23) was incredible!! I felt like it was an art lesson along with an amazing product knowledge seminar delivered in the most approachable fashion. I moved here from Toronto a couple of years ago and I have been missing the amazing art supplies stores there, however now I feel that I have found my new fav store right here in Vancouver :) I highly recommend it!

Had a friendly staff helping me, got good deals on paint on sale and snagged the coveted plastic paint palette I needed for a class. Also picked up some cool LED string lights for Xmas on clearance.

I was so impressed with the service and product selection at my trip to Deserres on Friday. I was formerly an Opus customer when I moved to BC in 2020 (only because of the proximity to my house) but I can say that I will definitely make the trip into the city now for Deserres. The staff are very knowledgable and passionate and I had one explain to me the benefit of moving to an artist grade acrylic paint over student grade (and now I can save tons of space in my apartment doing so) by using mediums. The environment is poppy and bright and welcoming and it felt like some of the art stores I used to frequent when I lived in Toronto.

They had amazing art supplies. Still feel they need to have more variety, but they mostly had common required supplies.

The service I've gotten is great, the Deserres art brand is disappointing, particularly the colored pencils. I'd rather use Crayola color pencils. I wouldn't even consider these good enough for a high-school project. The watercolor paints under their brand are entry level as well. I'm not at all interested in trying their other products. :(

Always helpful staff and a wide variety of art supplies. My kids and I find most things we are looking for without trouble. Framing center staff is very helpful and clear about prices and timing.

This has been our regular haunt for birthday presents, kids activities, home decor (frames etc.) and so much more. For a small shop you get such a great selection, great prices and always lovely service. I would go out of my way to shop here.

Great place for artist grade and student grade art materials. They have more products in their online stores than the physical ones but you will definitely get what you need. I have shopped at Blick art materials and Jerrysartarama in the USA and I can say Deserres has really competitive prices. There are sales items in the top floor where you could find a steal. I love coming to the store to get my stuff and also buy online because they ship the items with great care 💕

Great art supply shop, for all ages and ranges and styles or at least a lot of ranges and styles. I found clickable markers here and it has been a huge win against lost lids. Close to the sky train at Renfrew and decent parking just past the building on westbound Grandview.

Deserres is my go to for art supplies & creative gifts in Vancouver. Great selection, super helpful staff & they have even ordered specialty products in for me that they don’t normally carry. Plus I love that it’s a family run Canadian company.

I used my years commission funds to upgrade my watercolor paints this year. I ordered online from Quebec and I'm assuming that all of their locations run as effective and efficiently as theirs. Competitive pricing, AMAZING SHIPPING, easy to manage website. I will 100% use them again.

Still miss the 2 DeSerres on Main and Broadway and their paper selection. Great selection of kits for children and amateurs. Not so great for professional needs. Lovely staff and fun clearance centre upstairs.

Great staff - very friendly and helpful. The stock changes and I have trouble finding what I'm looking for sometimes, but if you know what you want in advance, you can order it online and have it shipped to your home (or the store for free).

As an artist this place is terrific, they do have quite a lot of art supplies and they also have quite a bit of craft supplies too, prices were decent too. Staff were knowledgeable, friendly & helpful. (Nice chatting with you Andrea!). I'll come back next time I'm in Vancouver.

DeSerres is one my favorite art supplies stores in Vancouver, I regret not taking workshops there (I am an aspiring artist), used to come to the Broadway location, kind of a bummer it got closed. Wish there was a store in MountPleasant area. As at any art supplies store best is to take cash and set a budget as one can spend there a lot with a credit card 😆.

Very friendly and helpful staff! They don't have a wide range of art supplies. I am lucky they carry a couple of oil paint brands I use but there have been cases where a certain color has been sold out. Overall they are doing a great job of being something between an art and a craft store.

I love their huge selection of art and craft supply. I bought some paint brush because I would like to start painting as a hobby. I found beautiful colors that match the painting I had in mind. I would also like to continue doing scrapbooking so I bought some designs that suit my taste. I had a fun shopping experience!

Cozy , clean, great customer service, and decent prices. I recommend this place for most art supplies to all artists. The only issue I had with this store was spending over $200 you get no discount at all , unless you get their business Visa card or something in that regard!!

The first thing that attracts me at this store is the elegant ceiling. I don't know if it is just me but I find it very pretty. I love the red color. I have nothing to say to their art supply but excellent collection because they seem to have everything. You can also find other products here such as nice bags, etc.

Sure, the DeSerres name popped up on Google Maps, but if I didn't know what their product line was, I'd not notice that they are an art supply store. Not without looking thru reviews would that be apparent. Just a suggestion, tweak your Maps info... tonnes of international students... would hate for you to miss out on revenue opportunities. Also, the pics are not really identifiable, unless you already know, like I said. Imho.
