In searching for a unique Christmas present for our daughter we came across the Millstream Llama Farms adopt-a-llama program. Best gift EVER! Seriously, it brought tears to my 12 years olds eyes to unwrap a 9” handmade llama plush (made out of real llama wool on site) and a set of adoption papers. She could not wait to go on her farm visit and meet Poco her new pet for a year. We went for our farm visit in June and it coincided with the llama babies being born, so we not only got to tour the farm, meet the resident barn cat – smudge, and mingle with a flock of big eyed beauties but we also got to get our baby-lovin’ on. So cute to see all the llama’s interact with each other and people; definitely a one of kind experience that left us with some great pictures and videos but even better memories. Laviana was knowledgeable about llama’s and answered all our questions and then some. Really interesting woman and it’s obvious that her llama farm isn’t just a hobby but it’s a llama-lifestyle. They were such a lovely couple and so passionate that it was truly infectious. I love the fact that the farm offers this adoption program as it feels now a days there is just so much “stuff” that kids get and we love being able to give our daughter an experience versus more things to cram in closets and under the bed. It’s also an affordable gift which makes it that much more accessible for all wallet sizes at $60 per adoptions. The $60 adoption fee includes: • An 8×10 color photo of your llama • Detailed write-up of your adopted llama • An adoption certificate • 2 farm visits or a plush toy llama made from really llama wool • An experience that will last a lifetime We had the best time and look forward to our second farm visit in the fall. We will definitely be looking at doing this for any future gifts for kids or adults. Money goes to helping to support the llamas and someone gets a gift they might not have ever thought to experience. Happy Traveling! Doug and Shannon

My daughter asked for a llama for her birthday. So we adopted Poco. Went for the visit to see him and it was amazing. The animals all have their own personalities. Lavinia was exceptional as a host. She taught us about the different behaviours and how to interact with them. I had so much fun for the short time we were there. I highly recommend adopting and spending some time at this incredible place.

One of the best places we've ever been to. Lavinia and Alan are incredibly knowledgeable and wonderful hosts. The farm is close to civilization but it feels like you're in a nature retreat. You go for a tour and Lavinia lets you know about all her lovely Llamas, explains the pregnancy length , who is who and you get to feed everyone. You also get pictures and cuddles with some of them. After the whole magical experience there's a gift shop with all natural products made from the Llama fur as well. We had a magical time and look forward to going there again

Absolutely lovely! The owner is very knowledgeable and makes sure everyone understands what is and is not okay when interacting with her herd so that a good time is had by all. The llamas were very healthy and very calm, and it was fun learning more about the herd. We absolutely adored our visit and had a lot of fun feeding the llamas carrots - they're so gentle and sweet-tempered! Thank you so much for hosting us!

The owner was very kind and informative. Because it was during Covid, we just had our group of 4 and the owner, which was so nice and personal! (Group size etc may have changed now that things are calming down.) We got to feed, pet, and take photos with the llamas!!! Very nice property. Something different and Fun, for kids and adults!

Went for a tour here with my boyfriend, we both had a wonderful time. Lavinia was a very friendly and knowledgeable guide, and the llamas were all very friendly and sweet. We definitely want to come back soon to see the babies that are coming in the next few weeks!
