The Queen Vic is a great place to grab some food with family and friends Been many times and the service is always top quality, the food and drinks are always top notch and the prices reasonable too Parking aplenty outside and staff always friendly and welcoming to you once you arrive

First time here but won't be my last , fantastic place , the view is something else, very pleasurable, food is great , excellent experience

We thought the menu a little restricted although when our food arrived it was excellent. The restaurant is upstairs and we didn't see a lift so ring and check if stairs are a problem for you

Can’t fault it , service , food and value for money all excellent. Sunday fixed price menu £20 for 3 generous courses of really good food . These days that’s great value .

Sorry to say but the Queen Victoria is a bit hit and miss twice we've been and it's been great and twice its been not so good this last time food was served cold and all at different Intervals so some of us were eating whilst some of were still waiting although the wait g o the staff were polite and helpful it didn't help our disappointment sorry guys but we will visit again as you never know it might be like the fist two times we visited

Second time we've been here and on both occasions the staff have been really friendly and helpful. Lovely relaxed atmosphere and the food has been spot on.

Really enjoyed it, the food was lovely. I had carrot, fenal soup, Risotto, and parkin. The staff were friendly. Would recommend, will definitely be going again X X 🌺

Depending on which chef is on depends on the quality I suppose, I've had good and bad experiences here, would continue to go on the gamble of having good food ?

Nice place but the sausage, bacon and black pudding were undercooked and I think when you are paying top dollar for a breakfast you should get a brew with it instead of charging an extra £3 for a coffee

So we booked for a valentines meal. 1st time out in months. Upon arrival we were greeted n seated. Each member of the team introduced themselves and advised their names, which was great if you needed them. The food we pre ordered and each course arrived quickly when we requested. We didn't want to rush the evening. All The food was amazing, but especially the bacon jam which I complemented them on and before you knew it I was being told how they created it and offered a chat with the chef if I wanted to know more. It's the 1st time we had been to Bistro 197 and we cannot recommend it enough. The whole experience from start to finish was great. A very welcoming atmosphere, fantastic food n drinks and great value for money. We will be back soon. Thank you

Best breakfast in the area and in a fantastic setting near the 18 hole golf club and part of Towneley Park. Easy parking too. Great service and good prices

Absolutely cracking meal and staff very helpful and polite

The food is inexpensive, but even then I'd expect a certain standard. A £12 burger shouldn't taste pretty good, but appeared to have been reheated after having been cooked a few times already. Incredibly dry, with limp lettuce and an almost-stale bun. Staff are friendly and courteous, but I can't get past the standard of that burger. The kids meals selection is quite decent compared to most places.

Got an indoor play area for the little ones. Portion size is good too. Never had a dessert has too expensive.

Very convenient and comfortable when staying at Premier Inn. Enjoyed the roast dinner on Sunday evening.

Really good place for a good meal. Only issue is that you have to wait to be seated which does cause queing.

Very poor food. New potatoes grey. Pie small and soggy. When the waiter asked if it was okay I told her, politely and quietly what was wrong. She said the pie was oven cooked, not microwaved. She said she'd tell the chef and disappeared. No apology. No offer of refund. Steer clear!

Drinks were good as they were fill up! But food wasnt the best as my streak was very jelly and it made me feel very sick but dessert was rather tasty.

Room good nice and spacious comfortable evening meal was rubbish chicken tikka masala was all watery rice over cooked and hard stuck together absolutely disgusting, service by young girl dropped the plate on the table and went not the best service I've had. Disappointing as on work trip.

Overall it was okay, main problem is waiting times you can stand at the bar for some time before a member of staff will come over which is totally fine if it's busy but on this occasion it was not it seemed they were all congregating in one area until a manage came o we to force them to serve. Then the food was just okay didn't taste that great and the starter was extremely hot where as the main was barley warm.

For a quick tea its lovely bar staff are super friendly
