This is the first review I’ve ever left for a place because I think people need to be warned about going here. The maternal fetal medical unit is terrible. They did procedures that were completely unnecessary that ended up costing me over $500 out of pocket that should have been covered by my insurance but they refused to change how they billed it. Then they diagnosed a “condition” that they wanted me to continue to come in to monitor weekly (which would have cost me additional money…but then again they’d make much more). The nurse fear mongered me into making me think my baby was in danger if I didn’t monitor (they wouldn’t even do anything for the condition). I made my own choice not to continue care with them and it had zero impact on my pregnancy or delivery. I’m still not happy about having to pay for the completely unnecessary services though.

I had a 7 AM appointment. I got up early, skipped breakfast, made arrangements with my employer in case I was late to work. As I was SITTING IN the office I received a call at 649am informing me that my appointment had been cancelled because the provider was just going to make a referral. Seriously. Why wasn't I contacted the day before??? While I like and trust my PCP this was frustrating. Not sure how the ball got dropped.

Annoying experience trying to figure out if they could hand us off to Metro Pediatrics. Called to see if they handled the hand off for a new born, they stated "yes" and then gave me an appointment for one of their doctors... Which was not what I was told over the phone. Arrived at metro pediatrics and was told they did not actually handle that, so I had no idea why they told me that. Called them to cancel the incorrect appointment they made, then they said "I don't get what you're saying, but I cancelled your appointment. Did you want to make another appointment?". No, you just proved to me that you don't make the metro ped appointments like you said you did over the phone? Lol....

Unprofessional front desk. The woman should not be allowed as the first point patients go through. It causes anxiety. I mentioned to her about her attitude and she actually answered " Good. Thank you"

So hard to get an appointment! Providers are never available.... I texted messages to have my medication refilled, no response! You can keep your pain for weeks! This is the worst clinic I have never seen!🤑🤑🤑 Kouassi yapo

This review is for the outpatient pediatric clinic. We made an appointment for our 5-year old's second COVID vaccine shot because this location had openings, so we weren't regular patients. The reception by the front desk staff was not very welcoming - she sounded bored and barely made eye contact. And then we waited. And waited. During which, there was only one other family in the wait-room. We probably waited at least 20 minutes. And this was just for a shot, not to see a doctor. Once they finally brought us to the room, the nurse was pleasant but also sounded bored and didn't even look at my son or say anything to him (and he was very nervous). And then we waited again. Another 15 minutes at least. For her to get the shot. We could hear and see her chatting and laughing with other nurses near their work station, and no other patients walking through. Our son was getting so nervous, and we were simply getting frustrated. When she finally came back, she said boisterously "here I am!", and again, didn't address our son, until I started verbally reassuring him, and then she said "yeah, it's ok buddy". No trying to prepare him by explaining what she was going to do, or using techniques to distract or calm him, nothing! And then we were done, and she wished us a good day and left. My first thought was whether we were actually in a PEDIATRICS clinic, with staff who knew anything about working with children? Now, I understand that during this pandemic climate, with all the understaffing and wage-freezes, etc, that staff might be feeling kind of grumpy. Sure. My husband also works for Fairview and morale is definitely low. But SURELY one can separate feelings for their employer from their interactions with patients? Believe me, we will never schedule appointments with the Burnsville location again.

I started here for my pregnancy and a few months in it was clear that the front desk was unprofessional and rude. I had a high risk pregnancy and really counted on my appts as scheduled. Zero accountability with their errors. It was so bad that whenever I would call after complaining they referred me to calling Edina and I repeatedly told them no, I don't want to go to Edina and they kept pushing it. I ended up going to Riverside to establish new status there so my baby could be born at the hospital there too. Fast forward to now, I needed a PP check on my c section incision and can't drive yet so burnsville I decided to call and see if they could look at my infected incision. I gave my info and it's like Miranda remembered me and said, oh we can't see you here, we can't see others patient and you have to go there only. Said if it was urgent and I could go to an urgent care as even if riverside had to cancel my appt and had no openings until May they still couldn't see me in burnsville and the rude way she said it of course made it 10x worse. I've asked to speak to a supervisor and told the director would call me back but never has so good luck getting any help or change here. Super disappointed in M Fairview at this point. The high-risk pregnancy was stressful enough and they made it so much worse here at Burnsville Women's Health. Save yourself the stress and anxiety and pick another location

I went to the women’s clinic for my yearly exam. I was happy with the care I received. Everyone was great from the front desk to the provider. I had Naomi as my MA who helped me get everything started. She is friendly and nice. I then had Hannah D as my provider and she was also great, friendly and made me feel comfortable. I will be back. Thanks again!

If you are considering a clinic, please don’t go here! I needed an annual checkup and an iud check. They didn’t check my iud nor did they give me a regular checkup. Some medical student just came and talked to me about why I didn’t need an iud check and then dismissed me. Then, because they didn’t do any of the routine checkups, they billed it as non-routine which messed up my insurance claim. A visit to talk with a medical student cost me over $250 and I’m still not sure my iud is in the right place. These guys don’t care about women’s health or about taking care of patients. These are money grubbing swindlers who are a shame to the name of medicine. If you need to go to a clinic, go anywhere but here! I would give zero stars if I could.

I don't like it here at Fetal Maternal Medicine. I feel like a number, and Dr. Sabol is not sensitive to the patient. I recommend knowing your patient's pregnancy background and tailor your approach to such patient. My friend went here for all of her three pregnancies and did not like the experience here either. I guess at the end of the day, it's business and they need to make money.

Saw Dr Parnerkar (endocrinologist). Complete waste of time. All she did was look at blood results I already had done and order more of the same. Now I'll have to go back because the results show exactly why I went there for. I drove across the entire metro for this quack because that was the earliest opening.

Trying to talk to a nurse, been on hold 30 minutes, terrible service. I call the Burnsville number and it doesn't even go to the Burnsville location, transfer again, on hold again....wow now going on 40 minutes no help...but your call is important...

Had some blood work done. The receptionist didn't acknowledge me for 10 mins to check in. She was too busy having a conversation with her coworkers. Not work related. Once I was getting my blood drawn. The lady closed the privacy curtains and this gentleman working decided to peak through the curtains to stare at me. Very creepy vibes and no privacy .

The OB clinic is really nice. I love Dr. Looby and I didn’t have a hard time adjusting to a new environment especially that I just moved here from another state. The lab down the hall was also wonderful. The lady who drew the sample did everything right from identification to the blood draw process. I don’t comment whenever these things are done but I had to commend it because not everyone does it correctly. I’m glad to find this place.

This review is specific to the OBGYN office. I can’t say enough good things about the front desk staff, nurses and doctors. Whether it was routine appointments for my pregnancy or emergency visits everyone has been amazing. A special shout-out to Dr. Dixon who redefines what healthcare is all about. She’s an exceptional OB who takes the time, explains things, and truly cares about your long term health. I’d consider following her wherever she went, even out of state! If she’s taking new patients run to her!! I trust her completely and she delivered my healthy baby boy!

This isn't a recent problem but when i was a child my gf mom worked at this clinic and went into my files without my say so... i found out and let my primary know and seemed they just swept it under the rug wishing i would have known more about my privacy rights when i was young or my parents actually cared but obviously to late to do anything now but pretty sad that any dr or staff would have access to such things

Front desk staff was kind and understanding about my arriving 5 min late (went to the wrong location originally). Nursing support was positive, asked good questions and efficient in recording new data. My OB explained my condition with data about how seriously to take results with this problem and one of the most personable I've met. Outstanding experience!
