I had a reservation for this camping and I said we will come in the evening. We came there and it was closed. We called the number but nobody takes the phone. We have sleeped on a other camping after that.

A simple but nice campsite. Been here several times now and am still satisfied. A good stop to visit Xanten. What's also great here is the small swimming pond with surfboards, which you can simply take and chill out on the swimming pond. I had the tent with a direct view of the water and one of the seating areas. This made it really comfortable and completely relaxing. You could also eat well in the restaurant and there was fresh grilling on the weekends. The boss was in a very good mood and I had a good chat with him.

Dishwashing building on the large field. Restaurant with terrace on the edge of the permanent area, behind it waste containers and large playground. Small children must be accompanied there, but older children can also go there together. Sanitary facilities are sufficient, cleaned twice a day. The people who dirty the sanitary facilities are of course the users; you cannot expect the manager to disinfect the sanitary facilities after every user. Showering costs 1 coin = 1 euro, which is sufficient. Shower works with a push button, so the water does not continue to flow.

Nice quiet location of campsite. Very friendly staff, sanitary facilities were fine, but soap and toilet paper were missing, which is actually not okay. The price is very cheap! We will therefore come back when we visit Xanten.

Fijne camping en vriendelijke mensen. Het is alleen beter om niets met het kantoor te maken te hebben. Na reservering heeft het kantoor mijn reservering ongevraagd aangepast waardoor ik 4 nachten teveel betaalde. Ik heb direct gemaild en gebeld, geen reactie. Bij aankomst opnieuw aangegeven. Medewerker kon niets, maar raadde mij aan nogmaals te mailen. Opnieuw diverse malen gemaild, maar geen reactie. Bij vertrek aangegeven, meneer kon nog steeds niets. Thuis wederom gemaild en gebeld, geen reactie. Via een reserveringsformulier uiteindelijk een reactie uitgelokt, en het hele verhaal gedaan. De reactie was, 'had ik maar bij aankomst aan moeten geven, nu is er niets meer aan te doen'. Mijn probleem dus. Weer terug gemaild, maar tot de dag van vandaag geen reactie meer gehad. Voor mij dus een dure camping voor 4 nachtjes. Douchen is ook wat aan de dure kant. Voor mij geen herhaling meer.

Wo das Leben Ferien macht. Alles in allem ein sehr schöner und gepflegter Platz! Natur Pur ist hier angesagt. Spielplatz, Badesee und Gaststätte ist direkt vor Ort. 2 Große Wiesen für Wohnmobile und Zelte sind da, eine davon direkt am Wasser. Toiletten und Duschen sind frisch saniert und sauber. Das Personal Team auch sehr nett und hilfsbereit! Wer sich über das Hundeverbot aufregt, sollte erst mal vernünftig lesen! Da das überall ausgeschrieben steht!! Ich persönlich hätte jetzt kein großes Interesse daran das kleine Kinder, welche auf der Wiese spielen, in nicht weg gemachte Hundehaufen fallen oder des gleichen. Von daher bin ich für das Hundeverbot!

Nice... Something! We spontaneously traveled from Rees for a summer weekend to get some holiday spirit. As a normal visitor you will be directed to a beautiful, large meadow with no boundaries. There weren't many campers there when we visited, which was nice. The adjacent pond/lake is a highlight for children. Even with short legs you can go in quite far without losing your grip on the ground. The entire campsite is populated by hundreds of wild rabbits, some of which are quite friendly. Accordingly, the meadow is full of rabbit droppings... Well, that's nature. Didn't bother us. We had a great time and our son (5) also had a lot of fun riding his bike at the CP's own restaurant and buying himself ice cream. So... It's important for new visitors to know that the power connections are only on the edge. Anyone who comes to the middle should bring as much cable as possible. In our time, the water pressure was quite weak, which is why refilling the water took a painfully long time. We need to help here. The children's playground looks great from afar... But it urgently needs care!! The most important point of criticism for me is the sanitary situation... First of all you reach the larger shower house 2, which isn't a shower at all!! There are “only” toilets here. 🤷‍♂️ Makes no sense. Ok... The condition of both houses was unfortunately only ok but fine. Some toilets were permanently closed, but there were plenty left. Unfortunately, some of them were very dirty from previous users... Some people really need to learn to at least use the toilet brush. It would be nice if the toilets here could be renovated a bit. You have to put away the toilet paper/soap yourself! They are not available!! We'd love to come back. Hope the criticism doesn't have a negative impact... The lake is a great highlight and a clear advantage over the neighboring campsite. Best regards

A bit expensive, toilets are far away and it is fulll of children. For me thats a negative, but for some its a positive. It's family friendly I guess. Oh, they have a big lake, so if you like swimming it is also nice for you. Just not my kind of camping

We spent 3 nights on the tent meadow behind the playground. The place was very nice, the proximity to the playground was perfect. We were able to park our car right next to our tent. The playground was equipped with lots of great equipment, although two slides needed to be replaced because they were broken. The lake was a bit cloudy but the children had fun splashing around. We found it very good that free surfboards were available. The toilet block at the playground was okay. Unfortunately this was only equipped with cold water. So to wash up you had to go to the washhouse by the lake. The showers were very clean and with one shower token (€2.50) you could theoretically shower a whole family. The restaurant serves delicious food and drinks at fair prices. I can recommend the campsite with a clear conscience.

Very nicely located campsite. It was easy to refresh yourself in the small pond. The sanitary facilities are very narrow, but clean. These will probably be renovated soon. The restaurant on site was great. The owner grills excellent pork and chicken steaks. He is very well known in Xanten for his goat tippis at the Christmas market.

Not of interest to us. Dogs forbidden. In the middle of the nature reserve. So it's mandatory to keep on a leash, which is of course a given in this case. But a no go for us. Sorry.

Wir hatten gebucht für ein Wochenende mit unserem 2,5 Jahre alten Enkel. Waren zu früh da und die Rezeption war noch bis 15 Uhr geschlossen. Sind dann über den Platz gegangen und haben uns alles angeschaut, doch als ich die Sanitären Anlagen gesehen habe....habe ich zu meinen Mann gesagt....hier bleibe ich keine Nacht. Haben gar nicht erst eingecheckt sondern sind zu einem anderen Campingplatz gefahren der nur 5 Minuten entfernt war. Sie hatten noch einen Platz für uns frei und wir waren überglücklich über diesen Platz denn er hat ein Super Modernes Waschhaus. Wir haben zwar 58 € im Sand gesetzt aber das war es uns Wert. Der andere Platz sieht uns definitiv wieder.

Wollten bei unserer Fahrradtour die neue Gastronomie ausprobieren. Leider sind auf dem gesamten Campingplatz inkl. Biergarten Hunde verboten. Dann lassen wir unser Geld halt woanders. Wenn ich mir so die Stellungnahmen vom Campingplatz zu negativen Bewertungen durchlese, kann ich ja sehr froh sein, dass wir den Biergarten nicht besuchen konnten. Sonst würden wir wahrscheinlich, so wie andere hier auch als Alkoholiker beschimpft werden, nur weil wir ein paar Bierchen getrunken hätten

Einfacher Campingplatz 🏕️😄 mit freundlichen Besitzern. Wer keinen 5 Sterne Platz erwartet, ist hier bestens aufgehoben. Das hier Hunde Verbot ist, fand ich sehr gut. Nicht alle mögen das. Und es wird ja auch explizit darauf hingewiesen. Einziges Manko: das fehlende Toilettenpapier. Wir kommen definitiv wieder 🙏

Sehr schöner Campingplatz! Wir waren ein Wochenende mit unserem Zelt vor Ort und wurden zu Beginn an der Rezeption herzlich empfangen. Man zeigte uns einen schönen Platz für unser Zelt und es konnte losgehen. Der kleine Badesee sowie der große Spielplatz war für unsere Kinder perfekt. Ein Ausflug nach Amsterdam von dort aus war am zweiten Tag auch super. Die Sanitäranlagen waren sehr sauber und gepflegt. Die einzige Kritik die wir gehabt hätten wäre das Autos noch nach 22/23 Uhr auf den Zeltplatz gefahren sind. Aber da kann die Platzverwaltung nichts für, das lag allein an der Dummheit so mancher mit-camper. Die Regeln gelten wie auf jedem Platz, Fahrverbot ab 22 Uhr, samstags ab 23 Uhr. Alles in allem hatten wir ein sehr schönes Wochenende und werden mit Sicherheit nicht das letzte Mal dort gewesen sein.
