If I could give this place a lower rating, I would! The rooms smell of damp and feel damp. While I was there, I was bitten to death and complained to their ‘customer services’. When they got back to me they confirmed the hotel had an infestation of bedbugs but that ‘on investigation an infestation WAS found in a nearby room’ - meaning that because it wasn’t found in MY exact room (which I do seriously doubt it wasn’t my room) I could not claim back any money. If you value yourself, and your family (if they are travelling with you) then do yourself a favour and stay elsewhere. The Hotel itself does not feel safe and the doors are so flimsy that if someone sneezed, I think they’d be able to gain access to your room! I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy, scarring from bedbug bites will serve as a horrible reminder for a long time!

We arrived and told they could not give us a key at all and would have to let us in and out of our room themselves. The pillows are hard as well as the mattress, I had a sore back and neck the next day as well as not sleeping at all.

We were looking forward to our stay, but unfortunately had a less than satisfactory experience if I was able to rate this place a 0 start I wouldn't hesitate twice. Upon arrival, we felt the reception been rude and could benefit from improved customer service training or in general a better receptionist that knows how to talk to customers. We had a simple query regarding parking, and felt the response was a tad sharp and used unnecessary sarcasm and criticisms. Additionally, our room had an unusual odor, suggesting it might not have been refreshed before our arrival. There was also a small issue with the kettle not functioning. Though we understand the importance of keeping noise levels down, we were surprised to receive a knock on our door only 10 min after checking in for chatting at what we believed to be a reasonable volume. It was especially surprising since there seemed to be louder noises coming from the corridor from other rooms but clearly we were targeted from the start. In the end, we felt it was best for our comfort to relocate only after staying for 15min we left, even though we had initially booked for two nights we rather have spent more money in busy time of manchester than us staying in this mediocre place.

Had one night, had a great family room just for me (double bed and two single beds) clean from what a experienced, no room complaints. Dropped stars because I stood at reception to check in for too long, I was knocking on the staff wall before I had to call the company number to be redirected to that specific location to ask for someone to come to reception. Parking wasn't clear paying by card, reception told me to look at a sign that isn't obvious but had no location number so called the number again to ask, was annoying. Check out is easy and had a quiet night sleep. Would recommend for a place to sleep if you're visiting and out majority of the day.

Room was decent size, when i came into the room first time the window was left open so it was freezing, the bathroom stank like i just checked in and its not even clean, the double bed sheets had a mark on it which is disgusting, it should of been clean before someone checks in, the hotels small so dont expect proper breakfast or a bar area, stayed for one night and its okay, got a backache on the bed. Locations alright, mcdonalds is 1 min walk & its next to a retail park

This Travelodge at Pilsworth was shocking. The whole place is severely outdated, the carpet was filthy, the divan bed was stained, chair was broken, curtains didn't close properly, no shower gel in the dispenser, doors slamming at all hours, they allow dogs in the hotel and there was one in the room next to us which was barking all night, we had a room near the entrance so when people went for a cigarette you could hear the drunk's being quite loud at all hours. It was an awful experience and I wouldn't go back. The only nice thing I could say is that the handwash soap in the bathroom smelt amazing 😂

I've always liked Travelodge and booked a double room for 2 adults due to the value for money and location, but I can firmly say that this is the worst one I've even been to. Arrived fine as I informed I would be later than expected due to traffic, and was given a room that wasn't even finished from previous guests. Was allocated a new room, and that was just as bad. Bed was made but had hairs and marks on. Bathroom was dirty, 1 bath towel and 2 hand towels for 2 people, no loo roll, soap dripping down the side of the wall from the dispenser, mirror had finger prints all over, entrance carpet as you step through the door had dirt foot prints, bed side lights flickered, almost no sockets to be able to charge my phone and camera, tea and coffee supplied was mostly sugar and sweetener with only 1 teabag and 1 decaf coffee sachet, and windows didn't close properly. Not even the hostels that I've stayed in all around the world could really compare to the disgust I had staying here, by which I had no choice but to use due to time and work commitments. I won't be staying here again or would recommend anyone else to do so either. Even tho this is a great location, the price I paid for the room, I could have gotten better camping in a field, to which I did contemplate. Just avoid this one.

Staff were very good but Travelodge is slipping down the rankings of the budget hotels. They still have basic amenities but they are even more basic now. The Bury site was very "tired" with dirty looking carpets, the bathroom only had soap in the shower dispenser, poor tea and coffee and just one pillow each on the bed. It has it's own dedicated car park but they still charge you to park your car - there is half price parking if you're only staying for a maximum of four hours - weird! Internet is chargeable and very slow speeds. Ok as an over-night rest-stop but if I was a contractor I'd be looking elsewhere.

Watch out for the car parking charges, never known a hotel have its own car park yet you pay to use it. It’s not run by the hotel, but by Horizon Parking. It’s only £3 for 24hrs but if you don’t pay its a £51 fine rising to £85.

It's a basic hotel, but has everything you need, a warm bed, hot shower and good service.

We started first week of Easter. Staff were amazing and nothing was too much trouble. Room was clean and bins emptied daily. Pub next door was open from 9 and had a wacky warehouse. Definitely coming back, they made my and my autism son's stay trouble free.

Great budget accommodation. Not in the center if bury buy has the benefit of very reasonably priced car parking. Helpful and efficient staff

It's clean, it's a good night stay, it's friendly and helpful personnel, if you need a room for a fair price its a perfect match.

+ friendly staff + Clean rooms + Quiet + Free disabled parking + Accessibility - awful plug situation. There are none near the beds - remote control didn't work - tiny TV - bed is very firm

Be careful with parking. Had an £85 fine for non payment of £3. Woman on reception didn't mention anything about parking when I checked in. It's not something you think about when you book a room that you have to pay to park too.

Stayed over this past bank holiday weekend. Room was clean and functionable although TV was just a pc screen. Staff were extremely polite, proffesional and very helpful

Our accessible room was right next to the one door that everyone used and it banged shut everytime perhaps a different closing mechanism would solve this. We did not have a drop of hot water so had to shower when we got home we did make reception aware but just got a sorry about that!!

Absolutely shocking!! A very very Rude lady working at the front desk at 2pm 21/7/22. Didn’t want to help at all, felt racially profiled by her, she asked us to leave, horrible lady , kept threatening us. We wanted to book 7 nights but because of her attitude we are now at the village hotel. Travelodge sort out this rude member of staff or check cctv to see how rude she is.!!!

Stayed here for a couple of nights while visiting elderly relatives. Great room, fairly quiet away from the road. Didn't like the fact that we had to pay for car park

They charge for everything, wifi, parking etc... Good for a basic stay over but wouldn't be surprised to be charged extra for a bed next time.

The hotel & rooms are tired looking and in need of some TLC. Next to a busy road so even with windows shut you could hear the traffic, however you need the windows open as room is quite warm without heaters on. No hairdryer in the room, you have to ask at reception for it.

Hotel tidy and clean but full to capacity which turned out to be noisy as some guests arrived and left throughout the night. One piece of advice ......don't eat at the Hungry Horse Pub next door! Extremely noisy, food cold and tasteless. Furniture damaged and previous diner's food all over the floor. Didn't even manage to get our orders right! The worst I've ever been too.

Serves its purpose. We stopped for one night. Room was clean. Beds were comfy. Nice little touch providing coffee and tea in the room. Staff were pleasant when checking in.

Great hotel to stay in for short stays. Good location to get to places and amenities. Great service from Hotel Manager Emma who waved the 3pm check in as we had a toddler and a baby with us when we arrived. Recommended.

I stayed during the Harry Styles concert and I must say, this hotel is a bargain for how great it is! It is right beside a petrol garage, 24hours asdas, mcdonalds, burger king and the list goes on! When we stayed it was very warm and they even provided a desk fan which was nice. Also fresh towels. Staff were lovely and the check in and out was very easy. Parking was also very good, it was nice to feel at ease knowing our car was parked in a nice safe place right outside!
