First time visiting West Ivy today after shopping at the rock and called in for a light lunch. I have to say that I was really impressed all around!! With a very modern and stylish inside, to prompt & polite service from the staff. Had the flat iron steak with camembert share, borad!! An oh my God 🤤🤤😋. If you love your cheese and steak, this is a must!! Heavenly all round, highly recommend, and deffo be having it again!! 😍 Would deffo be recommending too friends!! Certainly returning 🤩..

Tuesday 16th Nov 2021 Visited *****WEST IVY***** in BURY, Lancashire. The staff on duty were Mac, David and Jack. If you have never been, you are missing out on GOOOOOD Food. Great Staff and really nice surroundings. MAC served us. Forget the main dishes people order the STARTERS. We ordered... "Halloumi Fries" - lovely chunky strips, with the sweet chilly dip. " Lamb Kofta Lolly Pops" - not a lover of Lamb but OMB these were deliciously moist, perfectly spiced and bang on point cooked. "Cheesy Garlic Bread" - I love cheese and this filled my cheese needs. "Prawnstar Martini" - Delicious and so beautifully presented. "Honey BBQ Bites" - Pieces of chicken in a honey BBQ coating. If you haven't been...GO If you've been...Keep going. They deserve your patronage.

This is an amazing place to go. Food is delicious. I loved every bite of it. I took my wife for her birthday dinner and it was worth it. We ordered starter sharer, steak and cheese. In mains we had Chicken & waffle and Philly cheese steak. The service is amazing the staff are so friendly and happy go lucky it makes your experience amazing. I would highly recommend this place even if you are living at the other end of Manchester do have a dinner or lunch. This should be in your bucket list. Also if you are a tourist this is one place you cant miss when in Manchester. I am definitely coming again. So if you are going for lunch, you have parking of mills gate which is paid and of the rock which is paid as well, but if you are arriving after 6:00PM then the parking of THE ROCK Bury is free.

We ate here a few months back and were left a little disappointed. We were quickly shown to our table but were then left waiting for 20 minutes before someone returned to take our order. When the food turned up, the starters were great. However, we found the mains to be bland. If we were to return again we would order something other than the hanging skewers.

We went out to celebrate as a family. Lovely welcome, great waitress, swift service and although we were tucked into the back of the restaurant (which we didn't mind) our waitress was really attentive. We all had different foods which were well presented and super tasty. The maple syrup chicken was a bit sweet mind - couldn't have much of that. Desserts were divine. Overall a nice experience.

Lovely afternoon tea, love it! Love the touch of asian style. The fries was so tasty! We booked last month and my friend and I really enjoyed it! Plenty of spaces and decor was really nice. Outdoor heated area if you are to wait or eat outside. Highly recommended and definitely would visit again.

I had the chicken fajita hanging kebab which was described as midly spiced and a separate portion of coleslaw ( which was delicious) however the kebab was far too spicy and definitely not mild in my opinion. I only managed to eat about a third of it after I had drowned it in sour cream and coleslaw. It arrived so quickly too that it had obviously been reheated so the chicken was tough and dry and the pepper and onion were too burnt to eat. The brownie dessert was delicious and the staff were friendly and helpful. I won't be rushing back.

Great place to meet up for food and drinks, great atmosphere!! The food was excellent, plenty of it and great value for money. The staff were very friendly and professional, especially Mac who made sure our visit was a good experience, I would definitely dine there again.

Sweet heaven this is the best place to eat not only do the amazing staff look after you so so well, but our fillet steaks were perfect. 30 days aged and every morsel perfect 👌

Glad I came. Small restaurant but cosy. I ordered the chicken rice salad. Super tasty. Partner got the veg katsu, best veg katsu around. Will come back when in the area.

I would give more than 5 stars if I could. I was here this evening for my 40th birthday meal. It was amazing, I have never had a meal in any restaurant as good as this was. The staff were all so helpful they could not do enough for my partner and myself. I will definitely return and have already recommended west ivy to family and friends. Thank you so much.

West Ivy is probably the nicest spot in Bury centre to have lunch or dinner. They've done a great job of the presentation and decor as it really does feel like you're out at a nice restaurant rather than in the centre of bury opposite the bowling and the cinema. The staff were all lovely and attentive. I wish I could give half stars as I'd give it 4.5* - the only thing that let it down was my partner's steak was quite overdone after asking for medium-rare, it was more like medium-well done. The rest of the food was great, and the portion sizes are generous.

Halal, but average tasting food. Well-presented but flavours were not unique or particularly enjoyable. My friend did not mind her buttermilk chicken burger. Overall, unlikely to return again. NB alcohol is served on the premises.

Absolutely elegant food and service. The atmosphere was something I never have experienced in my years of dining at restaurants. I ordered the salt and pepper squid with a Cheesesteak. The Squid was some of the tastiest seafood I’ve ever eaten. And the cheesesteak was delicious, the Brioche Bun was perfectly dense. The peppers and the onions overall didn’t overlap the flavour of the steak and cheese. The staff were some of the nicest, polite waiters and waitresses I’ve ever interacted with at a restaurant. I recommend to everyone who is either a bury resident or any tourists visiting Bury. 10/10, I am definitely going again in the future.

Had a wonderful meal with friends all ordering different food and drinks. Absolutely delicious 😋 the staff were amazing nothing too much trouble all with a brilliant atmosphere. 10 out of 10 from me. Give it a try you won't be disappointed.

The staff are lovely and the service was great. The place it's looked very nice both in and outside. There is a great choice on the menu for food and drink. I had the buttermilk southern fried chicken burger 🍔. The hot chocolate was delicious.

Very cute place with excellent customer service, especially from Jack. However, the food is below average with minimal taste. I didn't eat my meal as I wasn't pleased with how it came out. It is a shame really because everything else about the place was pleasing.

MuMu in Maidstone is my favourite restaurant, with its alternative British take on culinary classics. West Ivy captures some of its grandeur and panache, enough to put a smile on my face.

I've visited here twice before and absolutely loved it. Decided to come back for the last day of EOTHO scheme and we ordered starters, mains and desserts. The starters were nice (honey bbq chicken and halloumi) but the main meal (katsu curry) was half a plate of curry and rice and the other half was coleslaw. I mean who eats coleslaw with curry? When the man was collecting our plates we ordered desert (the chocolate hanger). After around 40 minutes I asked one of the waitresses where our desert was to which she went and sorted it. We received our dessert after 5 minutes but to wait 45 minutes for something when people around us were getting them straight away. Luckily we weren't paying full price.

Went for the first time last week and would recommend to everyone. Exellcent choice and quality, relaxed environment and made to feel extremely welcome and staff couldn't have been more helpful.

The starter was appalling. I ordered the Prawnstar martini, which I think was £7.95. 3 prawns??? My friend laughed at me when it arrived at the table!!! I wanted to walk out at this point and wish I had.... The Ivy burger was ok but the quality of beef in the burger was terrible. Chewy and gristley. Again quite an expensive burger for the quality. Our friends ordered a chicken hanging kebab and couldn't finish it as it was too spicy. No mention on the menu that it was hot, just marinaded. Finally, we sat with our main course for nearly 5 minutes without any cutlery, whilst our food was going cold. We've wanted to come to the West Ivy for a while and were very disappointed with the food, value and service. Will will not return!

Was looking forward to a candy floss prosecco afternoon tea only to be told NO prosecco left..very disappointed, offered a glass of wine instead, thought they could at least of made us a small cocktail ...then 10 mins later a waitress walked past with candy floss prosecco for another table.

My wife & her 3 friends booked afternoon tea & was so looking forward to the candyfloss preseco. When they sat down for there afternoon tea the waitress informed them that they had run out of preseco which was extremely disappointing for them. How can a restaurant run out of preseco at 4oclock in the afternoon when they are open till late evening ?. The food was lovely & could not fault that but they bring you your hot drink well before the food arrives so your cup is then empty & no refills 🤔 If some of the small problems got sorted it would of got 5 stars ! A little disappointing.

Had a take away that cost 22.00 for a starter and a main. Half of the main course was missing and a very small portion for the price and was nearly burnt. I complained and still had no reply. Very bad management.

West Ivy is a fantastic restaurant. We have eaten there several times and the food is delicious, restaurant atmosphere is really nice and it makes a lovely special occasion restaurant, staff have always been really fantastic and the prices are very reasonable considering the quality of food and dining experience. Highly recommend West Ivy!
