This gate is made up of two parts: when going into the park, you first get past the official entrance gate with the petrol station. Then you drive on and just before you enter the actual park, you get past some shops, a reception and a coffee place. All nicely done. When ordering a cappuccino at the barista place, I recommend you request and extra shot of coffee - unless you like a very milky coffee of course…

Book online and pay your conservation fee, then you can enter easier. Loadshedding sometimes creates issues with the system and card payments. The staff were helpful and friendly.

Friendly efficient access control. Seems the access roads are also safe if you travel via Hoedspruit.

Very pleasant apart from one human being who was working at the Information desk who was to busy to attend to us because he was on his cellphone talking to what sounded like his girlfriend 😏. Another than that the rest of the stuff we encountered was very friendly and helpful we enjoyed the visit so much so that the next one we plan book accommodation in side the reserve.

This is one of South African treasures. Best place to experience nature first hand. Need to arrive early for a chance to big cats

We went to the Kruger National Park...and we went through the Orpen Gate. We were so lucky to see elephants, giraff's, zebra's, lions, kudu's, red bucks, impala and a few other wild animals. Our kids enjoyed it a lot...

Complex checking in procedure for one of the Bush camps. When we entered the room the fridge and power outlets were not working,we called the reception but nobody picked up the phone. After driving back to the reception we were told that maintenance staff would visit us,you can guess: nobody came. Reception was not good but we still had a good time.
