Great place, great view, nice grounds and garden, friendly staff. It is very beautiful, quiet, you can relax in nature, listening to the sound of the waves and birdsong. We will be happy to come back again!

Very nice hotel. Spacious bungalows. Spectacular view. Great staff. Food excellent (tried almost all menu). I recommend the beef garlic/pili pili sauce.

Excellent place with absolutely breath-taking and relaxing views of the lake all day. Truly worth the money for the experience. However, the restaurant food is somewhat pricey, which was the only downside from our visit.

Bad stuff service and food was normal not that much nice and i was checking the menu after i order not more than 1 min i told him cancel he said we cant we started making food and as per of them any food will take minmom 30 min maximom 1 h really i dont recomend this at all i didnt like it and i ll never visted again untill stuff ben changed and how to speak to guest very well and iam leaving and iam mad at the price and the waiter didnt say that i have lemet of order as per of him my order was not enugh to make it i told him cancel it he said we already make it like he bush me to order more whaaaat !!!!!

The location is beautiful with a panoramic view of the sunset and the lake. Their food is brilliant as they use good quality ingredients be it cheese or ham. The service can be improved as the staff do not communicate clearly and are not organized when it comes to billing and closures.

It's a beautiful place to have dinner at with a view of the sunset at the lake. The staff is very friendly and they have a large variety of different kind of food to select from. However, the food disappointed me since it didn't taste good (it lacked taste basically even though I ordered a curry) and I also doubt that it was freshly prepared since it came surprisingly fast.

We absolutely loved our stay here. It’s a private retreat surrounded by nature, but with excellent WiFi ;) The owner and manager both checked on us throughout our stay. Customer service was excellent- we brought the wrong electric converters and they were able to find some for us that would work for our plugs. Views are UNBEATABLE and you have your own private balcony with lounge chairs to enjoy them. Our room and bathroom were huge and clean. Little beach and dock with boats that will take you to nearby islands for hiking and wildlife, along with kayaks and paddle boards. Food was pretty good (I loved the selection of samosas).

Food is above average, but takes a bit of time to be served. Rooms are big and perfectly clean. Location is breathtaking and you can enjoy boat ride, hiking etc..try the home made ice cream

I only went to the restaurant and booked a boat tour through Cormoran Lodge. The tilapia with the lemon butter was delicious! The boat tour was also amazing. We hiked up Napoleon Island. We saw thousands of fruit bats and a the top was a beautiful vista of the lake and the shoreline. I also recommend going for a swim in the lake from the boat!

Only went to the restaurant. The plate of fish (tilapia) was great, the place itself is really nice, if too expensive especially for drinks. Couldnt pay with CC which would have been nice to be told beforehand given Price range !

Nice rooms but not worth $180/night. Difficult service. Had to ask for more than one towel. Then the receptionist forgot to bring it an hour later. Walked down again and he said they were ironing it🤣 finally 2 hours later he shows up with a towel and asked for a tip🙈

Cormoran lodge is an amazing stay in Kibuye, with access to water & its activities. One of the highlights on our Rwanda trip. Most comfortable and idyllic scenery. Also has a great restaurant with amazin view. Absolutely recommended. 2 points of improvement: - Staff tends to be stalky for tips, not the atmosphere you want in a luxury hotel. One waiter even came back on his day off ‘for our departure’. When we were trying to fix a flat tyre, a staff member started washing our windscreen - there are more suited moments to ask for money - Overall there’s too little lightning - it’s really dark both in the room and at breakfast - we had to use our phone’s lamp to see the ingredients at the buffet

Went here twice for dinner. Pricey sure but gorgeous views and Delicious Recommend the lasagne, tilapia meunière, spaghetti, and desserts!

Superb and laid back small hotel with cabins scattered down a hillside to lake Kivu. We stayed in a VIP cabin which was huge and very comfortable with every amenity we needed - we particularly enjoyed a balcony with lovely views but which was not in direct sun so cool enough to sit out in during the day - there are many little places to sunbathe and swim from the shore on the property. We also ate at the property five times during our stay. Food was great and good portions. Nice local dishes and pizza was tasty. Drinks a little expensive and the bar closes fairly early at 9 but was happy for us to take drinks back to the room for a game of cards on the balcony. All in all a lovely relaxing haven.

Looking for that serene place where you can really relax and have a rejuvenating experience? Where you can listen to the sounds of birds in the morning and evening? Want to see the sun set in the mountains of eastern Congo? This is it! Apart from being a lovely place, they have a great environment policy: instead of these ever-present water bottles, each room has a large water tank from Jibu (producer of clean bottled drinking water). Great idea!!! Highly recommended!! 5/5

One of the better accomodations we stayed at during our trip in Rwanda! The lodge is simply beautifully built, perched on the side of a hill and overlooking lake Kivu. The rooms are split between a set of 2-story houses. There are about 4 of them. Each is lake facing. Rooms were extremely spacious, spanking clean and very cozy. The big mosquito net around the bed made it very peaceful to sleep. The restaurant and lobby was a great place to relax as well. Dinner and breakfast was better than average. Overall the lodge does come at a little steeper price than others, but it was well worth it. If there's one negative that I mention is the fact that reception had lost the booking I had made and they did not believe me until I showed them the email exchanges i had with them on my phone!

Everything about our stay was lovely! The food was great and the breakfast was amazing. The staff are helpful and kind and the gardens and rooms are very well kept

A magic place to stay should you come to Karongi (Kibuye) at Lake Kivu in Rwanda. Certainly an upmarket choice related to price but it is an unforgettable scenery and the wood made houses are perfectly embedded in nature.

Expensive, especially the food and drinks are some of the most expensive ive seen in Rwanda. $3.5 for local beers, 15$ for simple bruchets is pretty wild but the rooms, service and the location is amazing and food was pretty great (mostly). The boat ride to the bat island is a must do and the guide is amazing. Overall a great experience

Super nice place with great view. We went for the restaurant many time. Donatian and his crew are pleasant and very professional. I recommend for just a drink or a longer stay. The kayak promenade in the bay was precious.

Beautiful setting and atmosphere, stunning views over Kivu lake. Super fresh food and excellent service. Comfortable and spacious rooms. Perfect to relax from a hectic week! The garden is just amazing. I definitely recommend it!

Incredible viewing and holy wind from the lake kivu to the Restaurant and lodges

Had a great visit! What a good deal for residents. Lovely view of the lake and even of the volcano from our balcony. The room was spacious enough for our daughter’s crib and had a nice shower. The restaurant is quite good and has a high chair. They have kids swings down by the sandy area, too. The road to the lodge is not good and there are no signs for the lodge along the way, but trust google maps and you’ll make it!

wooden cabins, the balcony has a breathtaking view of lake Kivu and surroundings. I recommend ordering see food, i never had such a tasty meal as theirs. I will definitely return.
