I went in on their opening weekend, the service and food was amazing! The menu is concise and executed extremely well. I had the hand made aglio olio pasta, delicpus! and my partner had the bbq fish cooled perfectly. Highly recommended

Hands down my favourite spot in Byron. The food is delicious, I’ve been back to try most of the evening menu and everything has been cooked perfectly and has so much flavour. You can tell that they use quality ingredients and are extremely passionate about what they do. They offer a simple menu that has something to suit everyone and the flavours are bang on. If you have room you have to get one of the baked goods, the cookies are RIDICULOUS. They’ve also got a great selection of wines that they’ve paired with the food. I am so excited to have found this secret gem in town, even the decor and atmosphere in this place is so special. 100% highly recommend!!!

Highly recommended! Been to all the restaurants in Byron. This place has absolutely incredible food, service and wine menu. Went for dinner with mates and couldn’t have asked for a better night. You will be very impressed. Thanks for a great night and we will be back.

I love gourmet food, fine wine and good people. This little restaurant has it all. A gem tucked in the middle of Bay Lane food precinct. Easy to miss as Hummingbird  on the sandwich board is not large- about second restaurant before the arcade. Open for lunch and dinner.

We couldn't have chosen a better place for our anniversary dinner. It's a hidden gem of Bayron. The atmosphere was so nice, the service was excellent and most importantly the food was mouth watering 💛 thank you!

Every element on every plate was so freaking delicious that I could have eaten a bowl full of each thing! But when the flavours come together.... Woah. 🤯 I wanted to lick every beautiful little floral plate clean. Places like this can't stay a secret for long. I reckon by the time we're back this way they'll be busting at the seams and looking for a bigger venue. (Missed the photo of the duck, soz. We gobbled it up too quickly.) Service was also excellent 👌

After dining at many venues in Byron bay we went to hummingbird bistro and what a hidden gem. The food was outstanding, every plate was sensational!!! As a Chef and Restaurant owner myself you always will critique food but I couldn’t fault anything, every ingredient complemented each other and I could tell Ash the head chef is passionate about food. Me and my wife just had an amazing dinner at The Hummingbird. Even my wife, who's from Australia, says it's one of her best meal experiences ever here. Everything is made from scratch daily, and it shows - the king fish, steak, and homemade pasta were outrageous. The wine selection was perfect too. The staff were super friendly, making the whole vibe warm and inviting. Definitely a must-try for anyone who loves great food in a chill atmosphere.

My husband and I had a beautiful dinner here last month. The food was exquisite and the staff were very attentive and informative. We don’t often get out for dinner dates so we were delighted to have stumbled upon Hummingbird.
