I had breakfast there pretty much every day for several months, the staff is really nice and super friendly, the food is delicious and the price is reasonable. Give it a try. If it is one of those miraculous days that they make the amazing brownies with macadamia nuts, you should definitely try them.

This place always has such good vibes. The music they play is so good, and especially when there is live music or a dj! The mussels are delicious and the staff are super lovely.

My partner and I literally waited an hour for the first dish..then waited another 15 for the second dish. Food was below average. Would not recommend and would not return.

I get takeaway breakfast here most days and it’s usually pretty good. Good price and good food. However, just had a pretty appalling experience with a member of staff I haven’t seen before.my friend and I both ordered a veggie roll, me a tea and my friend a coffee. We received both egg and bacon rolls with undercooked bacon. My tea with no oat milk (which I paid 50c for) or honey. We took them away and only realised the whole order was wrong once we sat down at home. Tried to eat the rolls (I’m lactose intolerant so tried to get around the cheese). We went back in to ask for the correct rolls and correct drink and instead of apologies we were met with the waitress trying to ‘catch us out’ asking why we ate some of the bacon if we ordered veggie rolls… not that it matters but we’re not Vegos… just prefer what we actually ordered. Pretty bad customer service make makes me not want to go back there for food again.

As far as steak sandwiches go, this was one of the better ones around. A good size, with plenty of chips as well. A decent outdoors seating area with a bit of a view of what's going on, friendly and quick service. What more could you ask for. Worth a try.

Best breakfast in Byron, with a cute 1970s-feeling wrap-around patio. Very good Eggs Benedict and their side of sausage is substantial.

The portions were exceedingly small, and the prices were steep. The service was lazy and half hearted. The selection for the mains was small, and the one dish the group and myself wanted, they had run out of. The prices of the meals and drinks were not reflected in the service and meal received.

We had a great experience here for dinner. Good friendly service. Good food. Can't complain like the others. All round really good.

The staff is so mean. Food was ok (super expensive for what it is tho, $35 for an avo toast + a cappuccino which was not even good). But mostly, the staff was so rude. We asked a blonde girl with her hair tied if we could order something and she looked at us in such a badddd way because we had to go order at counter but didn’t know that. It was our first time here. Then nobody came to clean the table until we asked (it was disgusting). And then 2 of the waitresses were just really rude and made. Not smiling, speaking very « cold » and rude to us. We really didn’t feel welcome because of the staff. Will not come back.

Great dog friendly place for breakfast - lots of outdoor tables and friendly service. Recommend the Brioche French Toast with Nutella and strawberries (I ordered without ice cream) - absolutely delicious with very generous helping of Nutella. The food is on the pricier side but pretty standard prices for Byron Bay.

Spent $40-50 each for basic meals that were terrible. No hollandaise sauce, the poached eggs weren’t runny at all. They forgot 70% of our orders and we had to repeat this many times. Dry, boring and nasty. Waste of money

the avo toast was not as described; no cherry tomatoes or jalapeño salsa, instead, red onions, radish & pomegranate seeds? it tasted good but a bit disappointing as I had ordered based on the description. doesn’t take much to let your patrons know of a change! ◡̈

Firstly very overpriced but that was expected as we are in byron bay however extremely poor quality food for that price, the cooks had forgotten half our food, toast was burst to charcoal, bacon and bread super dry, no butter and a teaspoon of hollandaise sauce on our eggs benny. The girl cleaning the tables looked like she hated her life working there, no touch of happiness, not even a dull smile, it certainly dulled our moods, the only reason i gave service a two star is because we got served and the one crew team member that made this place better was the genuine nice guy who gave us our food who apologised for his cooks mistakes. The avocado was $7 for half an avocado spooned straight out of the skin, not cut or smashed and brown ! Never would i serve burnt toast fyi, even if it was a 30 min wait, i would just cook another piece.

Very disappointing. The staff were more interested in hugging and socialising than taking orders. Ordered the dig breakfast and asked for no baked beans but when the meal was brought out baked beans were on the plate and had overflowed and split the the whole meal. Couldn't finish it as it was not nice. I had to ask for my coffee three times as the order was slow and had already put aside the horrible meal before the coffee was served. This was only my second time at 'The Rocks' definitely won't be back. Please reconsider the new current menu and return pancakes the the menu. I would not recommend this business.

Nice cafe

Came here for brekky on Monday morning with my husband. You order at the counter and take a seat inside or on the balcony. It's a really good menu and was a tricky choice but I got the pea haloumi fritters with poached eggs which were delicious. I ordered a large latte for $4.50 and it came in a massive mug. Check out the board for specials like bacon and egg roll with coffee for under $10.

Overpriced juice and food. Eggs were over cooked and portions were bad. Service was adequate. Wouldn’t come back.

Lovely little casual cafe with a view looking out onto the street. We ordered coffee, very good apart from being a touch small.

Great place to go for coffee. Food was not too bad. Just that the waitress kept rushing to clear our plates. This happened at 7.30am which I'm not sure why that would take place.

Popped in as we were walking along, looked lovely and the menu was a classic mix of options with a decent dollar point. I ordered the ham benedict and my partner the bacon. His was lovely, nice and hot with plenty of flavour; a classic Benedict. Mine however, was quite the opposite I must say. The portion size was amazing but everything was cold. I did have the idea in my head that the ham would’ve been grilled or something which may just be my fault but I didn’t expect just slices of cold ham on toast… idk the staff were so sweet and the location is great. I’m sure everything else is nice too but I’m just a bit thrown off by that. Completely cleaned the plate but maybe just something to take into account 😊

Food portion as per pricing is high. Good taste. If you are staying in Aquarius backpackers resort then you get discount on food at this cafe.
