We had breakfast 02/09/23. I have been coming to this restaurant for over 30years. Nothing has changed - the food continues to be amazing, the service wonderful, the view stunning, the sound of the crashing waves is also a plus and watching the whales head past too! And there is the resident Water Dragon Harry is a bonus! Oh and we took a very large muffin to share in the afternoon - amazing! Highly recommend you book though or you may miss out on a wonderful meal!

Had the most amazing fish burger from here, so delicious, (love spicy mayo). A mate suggested I go after he had dinner there, and so after a coffee on the beach, I strolled in and ordered a quick takeaway lunch. Totally recommend and second my mate's endorsement, if the fish burger is anything to go by! :)

We were excited to dine at Fish Heads last week as we didn't get a chance last time we were in Byron. Unfortunately the weather was stormy so the cafe blinds were necessarily closed so we couldn't make the most of the view (but at least we didn't get wet!). Staff were friendly but very new so a few mistakes. Understandable after all the covid mess. Food was very nice as were the cocktails. We enjoyed the seafood platter which had good variety, although for the price I would have expected it to also include either a salad or fries (or both). Unfortunately a huge error was made by the chef who guaranteed the dish was totally free of the ingredients I am severely allergic to, but we could see big chunks of it right in front of us. We insisted the waitress (who was lovely) take it back to the kitchen and they replaced the dish, but didn't offer any kind of compensation or even an apology from the chef. There are many other great dining options in Byron so unfortunately we won't be dining here again.

Great vista, awesome cocktails (we should know we go to try 4 as we had the paddle featuring local spirits), and let's not forget the seafood, which was rather yummy and super fresh.

This is a seriously good restaurant. The food was absolutely superb. My wife had the garlic and chilli prawns entree. She also had the lemon sole which was huge and superbly cooked. I made up my own seafood platter of salt and pepper squid, grilled prawns (3), whiting (4) and Moreton Bay bugs (2) and it was fantastic! The Argentine girl who served up was excellent. Can’t recommend this place highly enough.

They have both takeaway and dine in menus. The price have large discrepancy between two options. As i was first attracted by the take away menu, but didn't know the item and price is totally different. A little bit disappointed about these. The staffs are nice and food are delicious.

Oh my the grilled platter was so delicious. We also got the chowder which was equally as delicious.fresh ! Service was great.young Dark haired waitress today who was so welcoming and attentive. Drinks was nice as well. Great birthday lunch. Thank you 😊

Nicely close to the beach, Nice service although the fish roll I had was pretty stock. Also the killpatric oysters were so small for $5 a hit. Need to lift there quality for a shop this close to the beach.

Amazing whiting fillets, chips had a really good crunch without being too oily. We would absolutely order from there again. Great people in there too. What a view while you wait for your order.

LOVE Fishheads!! They have the bests seafood in Byron Bay. I went to Byron a few weeks ago for my anniversary with my partner and we went to Fishheads for dinner one night. It is directly on the main beach near the centre of town and has breathtaking views of the ocean and a short walk after dinner on the sand. I’m vegetarian so I had chips and they were amazing! Really great quality and the salad was really delicious. I was surprised they even had vegetarian options. I’m so used to just getting chips at a fish and chips shop but it was quite inclusive. Would definitely go again. I love the vibe and the food combined. Great place!

BEST seafood platter I’ve ever eaten. We got the “build it yourself” seafood basket (genius idea because it meant we only got what we liked!) and every item was amazing, I’ve never eaten seafood so fresh and delicious. And to top it off it’s so reasonably priced for a seafood basket! Highly recommend.

We popped in here on the off chance that it may be good; what we got was more than we expected! The food was amazing, we both had the grilled barramundi and strawberry shortcake and the staff were so friendly. We went mid week and it was busy. Well worth the visit.

Just ordered 2 boxes of whiting and chips. The whiting was so light and fresh, chips were perfect. What ruined the whole meal was the amount of salt. I love salt, but it was way overboard even for me. Meal would have been a 5 star meal if not for the salt.

Came back again after few years. Love the vibe and food. It was tasty. There was around $6.xx surcharge for weekend. It was bit unexpected.

If you're willing to forgo digital connectivity and don't mind the price tag, the picturesque views make it a memorable destination. I just had a few drinks.

A wonderful lunch - followed by happy hour drinks that evening / then a return for another fantastic lunch the next day! Great location, views, food and service / highly recommend!

One of the most charming places in Byron Bay. Besides the fact that the place is super nice and cozy, all the dishes were exquisite and the service was very good. We would definitely come back again.

I came back to Byron Bay especially for the seafood chowder at Fishheads. Got it takeaway and sat on the rocks eating it watching the surf. Sensational, just sublime.

The staff were so friendly from the moment we walked in. Our 6 yr old was given textas and colouring sheets to keep her occupied. We ordered the seafood platter for 2 and it was divine! Full of delicious fresh seafood. Our children ordered fish basket, calamari, pasta and were all very satisfied with their meals. Generous servings. Well priced.

The most amazing whiting I have yet to eat this includes fine dining. Lightly dusted curled pieces of deliciously cooked whiting with an over generous serve of chips . By far my best fish & chip experience of my life for just $15

Best seafood chowder EVER ♥️ Delectable!!! Most definitely in house made stock which gave the fullest of flavours for any discerning palette. Mixed seafood plate also right up there. My husband enjoyed his meal very much so. A huge compliment coming from a true meat eater 😀

The fish and chips were amazing, faultless, super high quality for a decent price. But the tartare sauce has got to be the best I have ever tasted. The man who served me was so lovely and friendly. The view is so relaxing especially with the stools where you can catch a sea breeze. Super close to town and the beach itself so you can't miss it. I recall having oysters here on a rainy day a few years ago and they were amazing then too.

Honestly the best fish and chips I've ever had. The batter for the fish was not greasy and heavy. Absolutely perfect. And the chips were perfectly crispy. Not to mention the amount of tartare provided was more than enough for the serving of chips and calamari!
