Awesome beach, waves can get absolutely mental but it’s all in the fun. Caught some waves with our surfboard, also got out boggie on with our boggie board. Was a bloody awesome day enjoying some uv rays, some soft white sand, beautiful blue ocean and some washing machine waves. No matter what your into this beach cater for everyone, be wary of where you enter the beach and how far you go down the closer you go to the caper Byron end be careful with kids as we did see some nudist down that end otherwis was a ripper beach

The beach itself and views make it still a beautiful place. Although recent storm surge damage has taken away a lot of the sand. The foreshore area needs a massive refresh, it has lost it's charm, it has been 20 years since I was here, it looks the same and that is a negative. Because it feels tired and abandoned.

Long popular beach We visited Byron Bay during ANZAC weekend. The beach is adjacent to the town centre, very nice and extremely popular. Even at 10.30 am, it was extremely difficult to find a place to park the car. But once this was done, the beach itself is superb. There is something for everyone- surfers, swimmers, walkers or those who were there to simply relax. The water was still quite warm and the sweeping views delightful.

BYRON BEACH - ALTERNATIVE Byron Beach refers to the beaches located in and around the town of Byron Bay in New South Wales, Australia. Byron Bay is known for its stunning coastline and beautiful beaches that attract locals and tourists alike. Here's some information about Byron Beach: Main Beach (Byron Bay Beach): Main Beach is the primary beach in Byron Bay and is located right in the heart of the town. It stretches for about 2 kilometers (1.2 miles) and offers a picturesque setting with its golden sands, crystal-clear waters, and views of the Cape Byron Lighthouse. Main Beach is popular for swimming, sunbathing, and surfing, and it is patrolled by surf lifesavers. Clarkes Beach: Located to the east of Main Beach, Clarkes Beach is another popular beach in Byron Bay. It is slightly more sheltered than Main Beach and offers calmer conditions for swimming and other water activities. Clarkes Beach is also known for its scenic beauty and is bordered by grassy areas that are ideal for picnics and barbecues. The Pass: The Pass is a renowned surf spot located at the eastern end of Clarkes Beach. It offers consistent waves that attract surfers of all skill levels. The beach is known for its picturesque setting, with the iconic Cape Byron Lighthouse in the background. The Pass is a great place to watch surfers or try your hand at catching some waves. Wategos Beach: Situated just to the east of The Pass, Wategos Beach is a beautiful and tranquil beach known for its pristine beauty and clear waters. It is a popular spot for swimming, sunbathing, and picnicking. Wategos Beach also offers stunning views of the Cape Byron Lighthouse and is a great place to spot dolphins and whales during their migration season. Little Wategos Beach: Located just around the corner from Wategos Beach, Little Wategos is a secluded and often quieter beach. It is accessible via a walking track from Wategos Beach and offers a serene and intimate setting. Please note that Little Wategos Beach is not patrolled, so caution should be exercised when swimming. Belongil Beach: Belongil Beach is located to the north of Byron Bay and extends for several kilometers. It offers a more rugged and less developed atmosphere compared to the beaches closer to the town center. Belongil Beach is popular for long walks, beachcombing, and enjoying a quieter beach experience away from the hustle and bustle of the town. Byron Beaches are not only known for their natural beauty but also for their vibrant surf culture and the opportunity to spot marine life. They provide a range of activities, from swimming and sunbathing to surfing and beach walks, catering to different preferences. It's important to note that some beaches have designated surf zones and patrolled areas, so it's advisable to follow any safety signs and instructions provided by lifeguards or surf lifesavers.

Byron bay is a whole package of refreshing place to be visited with family! You simply can just laying down on the beach, doing grilling and barbecuing, enjoying doughnuts and coke, or you can go hiking a bit to end of Byron Bay point! And there’s a cute white little chapel near the lighthouse area, so beautiful! Worth to visit to calm your mind.

Byron is still such a great place to visit and chill, or not. 70 years ago main beach went a few Hundred metres further out eastward, then sand mining started and there went the beach after each big storm, which is why the big boulders Nature. Tallow looks good, or a walk in a northerly direction passes time.

very lovely scenery and a great vibe. Although my father had an altercation with an eshay junkie, my dad was taking some photos on his camera of the beach as he should. This junkie dog pulled up outta nowhere and said "why you taking photos of my Misso u dog" My dad said he wasnt and this guy looked like he was ready to start fighting and was starting to reach into his bag to take something out that was sharp. My dad legged it as he should. So 4 stars for the beauty and -1 star for the junkies

A hipster, chilled, little leaned back village straight at the beach with a lot of hipster bars and restaurant. It looks like walking barefoot or having at least a dog is a standard here. We enjoyed our stay here at the little charismatic village and would come back. Avoid the expensive restaurants at the beach and go to the nice decorated little restaurants/take-always in the village.

Best beach I've ever been to. Big waves the days I was here and was fairly populated but very tolerable despite the amount of people. Some of the finest sand I've ever seen. Lovely beach.

The beach was pretty nice, if a little windy the day we went. Not many people on it towards the lighthouse end, unlike the other end which was a bit busy. Needless to say, you should be careful in the water. A friend of mine was hit by a stinger in the armpit, he was out of action for a painful hour or so.

Very disappointed!! Firstly, if you’re over 25 stay away. Not for you. Sadly, the council is so change averse, nothing has changed in 30 years. Same infrastructure but 50 times more tourists. No signs of the police so drug and alcohol abuse a big issue any time of day. Homeless people abound and dole bludgers have moved in. By contrast shops and food outlets cater to the rich and famous. Food was surprisingly sub-standard and service from back packers sick of tourists was the norm. This jewel of a place has become a run down slightly derelict has been. Very sad indeed. Someone on the council or in government needs a wake up call.

Beautiful place to travel to. The beaches, views and walks are amazing. Stop by and enjoy an icecream or coffee after you head up to the main attraction, the Light House. See some wonderful artifacts and take a tour to the top and learn how it was looked after. You may even spot some sea turtles, dolphins or even the majestic whales during the winter months.
