Following a bad network coverage on the road, by mistake my partner booked twice a campsite for one week, one under her name and one under my name with my phone. We arrived few hours later for the check in, explaining them that we noticed a double booking. They told us that it was impossible to refund us around $300 while the camping was empty because of the "IT system". So they give us a voucher to use later. The camping was empty early December so the argument of fully booked didn't work. The cold attitude of the customer service was impressive but they don't care because it's Byron. Money is money 💰💸👎

Do NOT book this place if you have a group of people. Management had poor customer service. Rules at resort were ridiculously over the top. Needing pre approved permission before having a luncheon get together with friends on the lawn under a tree away from the cabins. Having to keep the noise down in the middle of the day while in pool area with friends. This place is only good if you come as a couple/single who want peace & quite with no social interactions with others. It is how ever closely located to town, walking distance & the receptionist was lovely.

Beds were hard as a rock, shower was the worst I’ve seen. Could have pored water over my head better. Location was great and the lady on arrival was lovely. Went and let them know on departure (only stayed one night) about shower and it wasn’t taken well.

Title: Charming but Cozy Stay at Glen Villa Resort Rating: ★★★☆☆ I recently had the opportunity to spend a night at the Glen Villa Resort, and it was a stay filled with mixed feelings. The resort's colorful houses certainly have a charming appeal, but the experience left a few things to be desired. The charm of the resort is evident the moment you arrive. The vividly colored houses create a picturesque setting, and it's hard not to be impressed by their unique character. However, upon entering, I noticed that the houses are rather compact. This coziness might not suit everyone, so if you're looking for ample space, this may not be the best choice for you. One aspect that did catch me by surprise was the transparent doors. While they certainly add to the aesthetic, it means that anyone passing by can easily see inside. To maintain privacy, you'll need to draw the curtains, which can feel a bit cumbersome, especially if you value natural light. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the house was a letdown. The floors had accumulated quite a bit of dust and even some leaves, which was not the most pleasant sight. I would recommend that the cleaning standards be improved to match the overall appeal of the resort. Ventilation was another issue. There's limited airflow in the houses, with the only options being to open the door or a small window. It could get stuffy, and a better ventilation system would enhance the comfort of the stay. In summary, my stay at Glen Villa Resort was a mix of charm and inconvenience. The colorful houses are eye-catching, but they are on the smaller side. The transparent doors and cleanliness standards need improvement. If you don't mind trading a bit of comfort for a unique atmosphere, this resort might be worth considering.

Do not stay in the cabins!!!! Dangerous! My mother had a sever asthma attack from the mould that seems to be painted over! We could literally see dark shadows under paint and then part where it had come through. We left with small bites all over us! Cabin was falling apart literally the walls where separating the doors weren't even on place smelt horrible so musty it was just horrible! And they have the audacity to ask us to let them know if there is anything they can improve on for next time and everyone says it's the best, well we did tell them and they completely disregarded everything we said. Now not to mention how expensive it was $400 for a cabin, couldn't use the bunks as they had no rails so kids ans adults would fall off just horrible horrible horrible! Great way to ruin a trip.

Very friendly, very helpful and very kind staff. Our cabin was clean and the perfect size with everything we needed including the most comfortable bed! Good location too, in walking distance of the beach and town.

Nicely located for a quick walk to the beach (without having to pay for parking!) We stayed in a powered camp site and our pitch was very spacious. Showers and toilets were nice and clean. Big kitchen area with lots of BBQs.

Really clean and secure campsite in a great location. Would definitely go back when we're in Byron next! Stayed in a cute little hut the first night - it didn't have a proper door (just a flyscreen and a curtain) but it was fun and all that we needed. Camped the second night - no fires allowed - but all in all, excellent site and shared facilities.

Very basic, but if that's all you need then it fits the bill. The room is literally 4 walls and a screen door with a curtain to provide privacy from passerbys, just big enough for a double bed. The bed was comfortable though and the shower and toilet block very clean. Suited a short stay and my needs.

We have stayed here many times over the years, from tent sites to lovely cabins and always thought we got great value for the price. The staff are awesome and have always managed to meet our requests. I thought the powered and none powered sites were generous in size and most are easily accessed, whatever size and set up you drive or tow. We have always been able to get a roll through site near toilets, showers, camp kitchen, and laundry facilities if we needed access. We almost always leave the vehicle on site and take a pleasant stroll on well lit paved pathways into the town centre for restaurants, supplies or just sight seeing. (Parking around Byron can be difficult to find, it's nearly always limited time parking and expensive). The gardens and lawns are well maintained the amenities are clean and in good working order, the showers are lovely and hot if needed. Always my preference if staying in Byron Bay.

The location is probably the only good thing about this place. $20 deposit for a Perspex “key” to get in and out of the site for security (hot tip, you can probably poke your car key in and that works too… real secure?) Not enough ambient lighting for finding your way around at night. One staff member was really lovely and the other was extremely rude. The amenities blocks, both male and female were gross and likely not cleaned in the 2.5 days we were there as the same stains and dirt was lingering. Very cold amenity blocks with no heating and terrible water pressure that goes cold every time someone else in the block uses water. Too many resident sites makes this park less friendly and kills the “holiday” feel. Oh and one of them plays ABC news radio at full volume every morning for the park to hear haha. Stay somewhere else.

Quiet, orderly and well maintained facilities. Cabin had everything we needed, including a comfortable bed. Lots of windows and sunlight on verandah for enjoying at breakfast. Beautiful, well designed pool. So refreshing.

Loved this place in Byron Bay. Very close to the back end of town. The cabin was clean tidy queen with spare bed and all amenities. Had a great stay here.

Stayed here for splendour and it's super nice yes the huts are small but you don't need that much space the beds were incredibly comfortable and the bus stop for splendour is just across the road! The room was also super clean when we walked in A+

It is expensive when compared with the Gold Coast say. We had a beach hut which was sweet but small. There is a kitchen and laundry which is grand but there is no cooking utensils, plates, cups, cutlery etc so don’t pack light like we did.

Had a great 5 night stay in a spa cabin. Location is fantastic, only a 3 minute bike ride to town. Staff were extremely friendly and cheerful. Cabins a little on the older side but we didn't mind as bed was super comfy and we had everything we needed. Park was very quiet and relaxing

Visited for the night with my granddaughter, we felt very comfortable in our cabin, enjoyed the peace and quiet. Cabins are old but clean. The grounds of the resort are clean and tidy, prickles need attention, spa in pool didn’t work, but was nice and relaxing. Close enough to the town centre via walking so could leave the car safely at the cabin. Overall I would recommend the resort and will be coming back.

Wonderful customer service and lovely green spaces. Can be very peaceful for a getaway just what a weary road travellers need. There are plenty of large parks other than this one around here that cater to families with all the bells and whistles to entertain children, this place does not have these, so it would not be suitable for some families with active children.. Rules are probably in place for a reason. Only complaint. Toilets smell. Sinks are not cleaned and needs thorough cleaning practice. Mouth bio residue hazard in sinks. Toilet falls over. Hygiene standards for public toilet as a whole questionable. Don't know about washing machines. Other than that. Would not stay anywhere else

Had a lovely two night stay at Glen Villa resort! We booked on the day, and were greeted by the lovely Mar who works there. She was extremely friendly and helpful with us Brits abroad, helped us with anything that we needed. The resort is lovely and clean, great for backpackers who are looking for a powered site for camper vans. All facilities were great, plus walking distance to Byron Bay town.

  • 5/5 Megan D. 6 months ago on Google
We had a small, no hook-up camping spot close to other cars and vans, which backed on to the main road. That said, the facilities are amazing, great wash block and pool and friendly staff. Would stay again! The actual lodges and rooms looked a little more luxurious than the camping spots.

We had a very bad experience! The room was not clean, the windows in the room were broken so we had to take our personal belongings with us during the day. The wifi didn't work, we told that a few times to the hotel services, but they told us they couldn't do anything because they were overbooked. The reception is so small, if its raining you have no place to stay safely.

  • 3/5 Ginia O. 6 months ago on Google
Not really good enough for the price. The cabin we stayed in was very dated and not cleaned properly so we had to wash up all the crockery. They were apologetic about this and offered to clean the room again but it was a bit late by that point…location is good, but this should be a $120 a night place, not $180.

What a great little spot! Easy access to the village and beach, walking through the old railway stop. Pristine grounds and tidy little cabins. We had cabin 13 which was right by the entry and made coming and going super quick. Good option for a Byron getaway.

Had such a great stay here. Great location, not in the hustle and bustle of the main strip but close enough to walk. Great facilities, clean and well kept. Lots of international travellers. Rodrigo at reception took good care of us -thank you!

Customer service is good, plenty of rules when you get there. Value for money? No. Byron it quite the overrated spot where small coffees will cost you $8 and a patch of grass costs you $430 a week! On the website it states very clearly stay 7 nights pay for 6, hence I booked. When the system charged me for 7 I brought this to their attention, he stated that it’s peak season so we don’t have that offer. Yet it states nothing of this on the website, when clicking the link it still does not tell you this, after pressing the link it still charges you for 7 nights. I checked the same website and link after a few days of bringing this to their attention and still the same outcome. I do find this very opportunistic and dishonest. The creek at the back offers a funky smell during the heat of the day and plenty of mozzies at night! So be prepared to stay inside and bring plenty of spray. The amenities are average and the location of them quite far if you are at the back of the lot, it’s an odd place to put them near the front of the property. The location is a short walk to town and it’s quiet, though one side does back onto a busy road so depending where you are located it could be noisy.

Stayed two nights do not recommend, the management think they are a bunch of coppers enforcing strict rules that do not need to be in place such as no throwing a footy no riding skateboards even the way you park your car. Management constantly patrolling the place rather than doing this you should be cleaning the amenities properly was absolutely and utterly disgusting. Maybe a different career path would suit your management in law enforcement. I would give zero stars if I could.

  • 1/5 Ju W. 4 months ago on Google
Terrible! You feel like you're constantly being monitored. The service committee patrols regularly and constantly harasses the place. The camping standing places are only equipped for 2 people, more people are not allowed to stay there, otherwise you have to book a second camping standing place - total money-making. Despite the large number of toilets, they are very dirty but the showers are fine. We didn't feel comfortable at all and for the overpriced price I would definitely advise against it. Some of the staff were also totally unfriendly.

  • 2/5 Emily 1 year ago on Google
Not a great stay: so many strange rules, we were given a tiny plot, the pool is so small, the toilets stink, the shower water was always cold, and the staff were clearly very unhappy and grumpy. The location was decent though as it's easy to walk into the centre. Would not stay again.

  • 2/5 Florencia C. 1 year ago on Google
Not a well maintained campsite. Toilets weren't clean and were super wet all the time making it very slippery. The lights weren't working properly and is full of spiders. I understand is an outdoor environment but mainence needs attention, specially with the price charged.

We checked in to a powered camp site and after setting up our caravan a lady come and said that she didn’t realise we had 2 kids with us and that we are not welcome to stay in there park due to us having kids. Most disgraceful thing I’ve ever come across worse park in Australia. Ended up going to First Sun holiday park way better park right in the beach and awesome service and w You wouldn’t believe it kids are more then welcome!

Not a bad size but no extra pillows or blankets and was quite cold, air conditioning wasn’t working for heat. Nice tidy quiet park tho and nice relaxed atmosphere. Friendly staff

This place is a caravan park but also has cabins. I stayed here 2 years ago, and since then they've improve the place a bit, but with those improvements had come higher prices. Generally speaking, it's very expensive, but about average for Byron Bay. That doesn't excuse them for the high prices, but it does put pressure on the people that want to visit to see family and friends rather than pose for selfies in the hopes that one of the Hemsworth clan might get captured in the background. Location is good, plus ample parking. RECOMMEND.

  • 5/5 Jay J. 1 year ago on Google
Free parking outside the chalet. Comfortable bed and good shower. Perfectly clean and good amenities. A 5 minute walk into town if you cut through the train track rather than follow google maps advice of going down to the roundabout and turning right.

  • 5/5 Marianne J. 1 year ago on Google
Quiet and well maintained. Close to centre of Byron and a short walk to main beach. Only downside is only 2 people per site or cabin and no visitors allowed in the resort at peak season. Small pool is lovely.

Great stay, i stayed in a cozy cabin with a queen and a single. The facilities were also great for campers with gas stoves and electric bbq plate. Equipment to cook and even a communal fridge. Communal showers were available to however as I had a cabin i had my own one.

  • 4/5 Tahlia T. 1 year ago on Google
Amazing location, short walk from everything we needed. The rooms were nice and clean with standard amenities. My only complaint was the mattress was on the firmer side but some prefer that. All in all would 10/10 recommend if your looking a nice, clean and budget friendly place to stay in Byron.

The man at reception was all nice and happy to assist us with picking a powered site. UNTIL he saw my two children, he then advised me that children are not allowed 🚫 ARE YOU KIDDING, THAT IS DISCRIMINATION AND I AM AFFENDED. Finding a quiet park for my daughter who has autism is hard enough without being rejected by a caravan park. Thank you GLEN VILLA RESORT for making our Byron Bay experience terrible. We will take our money elsewhere.

  • 5/5 Jane D. 11 months ago on Google
Quiet but central and with nice spaces close to a forest. If you are looking for a hideout 5 minutes walking distance to the loud city center this is the right place for you. There are a two other campgrounds in town which are either super expensive or very loud until late due to the proximity to the beach hotel with live music. We therefore decided to stay at Glen Villa and we really liked it! The amenities are not super new but ok and the main quality is the quietness. Would recommend!

It’s a good park if you want to be close to the town. Everything is in walking distance (Beach, Shops, Restaurants, Supermarkets,..). Staff is super friendly and helpful. Unpowered sites are way to small for rooftoptent + awning, we had to upgrade to a powered site because it was raining a lot and we needed the awning. Amenities were clean but need upgrades. Half of the showers didn’t work, had really low water pressure or were cold. Sinks were leaking, Lights are not working/flashing,.. Wifi was working really good. I think it’s a bit overpriced for what is it at the moment. They should fix things when they are not working properly. People left a review 3-4 weeks ago about the problems in amenities, it could be fixed weeks ago.

bad customer service and very rude. they threatened my whole family. extremely unreasonable rules. pool is no bigger than a suv. room smelt mouldy and fishy. stains all over the walls and curtains(blood stain on one of them). fan makes loud buzzing noises. bird sh*t all over the porch. water pressure is horrible. crumbs and dirty tissues under the bed. all of the plates and bowls were dirty(dry old food). front door handle is falling off. bedroom light doesn't work. i wouldn't stay here again if you paid me. worst place ive ever been to in my life. i would give it 0 stars if possible

  • 2/5 Gail S. 1 year ago on Google
Expensive for unpowered small site , had another camper in a tent right up behind the van. I nearly slipped over in camp kitchen from leaking fridge , light constantly flashing in woman's bathroom and found some staff quiet rude.

  • 2/5 Abby C. 1 year ago on Google
Good location. Close to main st of Byron. Stayed in coloured cabin for 2 nights. Second night the light come on by itself and flickered all night. No sleep was had because of this. Reported to reception straight away. Thought I may have been offered a refund just for that night, but no. Camp kitchen facilities good, spacious. More clothes line space would be good. Some of the showers run as a trickle. Do not use the washing machines, my clothes dried with a horrible stench to them, and had to be washed again at the next accommodation.

Good place to stay as it has lot of open area , and it was good enough place to park our RV (Motorhome) But given 2 star because , bathroom and toilets were not clean, missing tissues , and soap holders , hot water supply was not that good. Our camp Site Q was at the back of the park , next to a stagnant water body, hence it was a good source for lot of mosquitoes and they didn’t let us enjoy our camping out side post sunset. Didn’t get the point of some pice of plastic as Key as the boom gate was never close . So never had to use that key.

Very expensive for a deal. For a family of 5, I had to take 3 beach huts or cabins and paid around $330 which has nothing but a bed, ceramic fan heater and a small fridge. We felt claustrophobic (the room was that small). There wasn't even water jug or mugs for drinking water in the night. The shared kitchen did not even have enough cutlery for 5-10 people. During the dinner time, we struggled to make our stuff without amenities. The toaster and microwave were so dirty, I did not feel like putting my food there. The shared bathrooms and toilets were good 100-400m walk (depending on where your cabin is) and was kept in mediocre state. Overall, for the price, we can get an Airbnb apartment with all amenities to ourselves. Only good thing is it is close to the main beach.

Fantastic! We stayed on a powered caravan site which was super level & the awning extends over a concrete slab. The staff were really friendly & incredibly accommodating. The grounds & ammenities are really well maintained & it’s only a short walk from the resort to bars, restaurants & beach. If you’re looking for a quiet, relaxing stay that’s got it all then don’t look passed Glen Villa Resort! Kim & Steve
