Great place to stay. 5 minutes from the beach. The apartment had everything we needed for the week and was clean. The walk to Byron was three minutes and being on a major road we were able to quickly get taxis and buses. The service station down the road hired bikes so transport is at your fingertips. We will be booking here next year which is the best indicator we loved it.

Great value for money. If youā€™re wanting someone that you just need to sleep, thatā€™s nice, not as expensive as some of the other hotels and is convenient to town - this is your place. The pool is small but itā€™s perfect for a quick dip. Place is clean and the staff are friendly.

This accommodation was perfect. We had arrived to Eco Beach Resort after going through a bad experience with another destination in Byron Bay, seeking immediate accommodation here. The manager (Cheryl) provided us with the final available room and was amazing, knowledgeable and had a bubbly presence throughout our entire stay- from beginning right to final goodbyes. The manager is honestly a big reason my partner and I will use this accommodation again on our next trip to Byron Bay. The apartment was clean, a short walk to the town centre and had everything you could need for the stay. Each room in our apartment was extremely spacious and modern and we even had a small private patio. All required amenities and even the benefit of a spa (which we used everyday) and pool were provided. The spa was warm at all times of the day (available for us between 7am and 9pm). Thank you for the excellent stay and see you soon!

We love Eco Beach Resort, perfect location. The staff are wonderful and the apartments are just what you need when on holiday with a toddler. We'll always go back to Eco when visiting Byron.

Extremely unhygienic with bunches of think black hair from someone else. Couch rock hard and bed feels 30years old. Shower Extremely low (I am 164cm and it was at my nose) Staff was rude on arrival and offered NO assistance with checking in. Was told to retrieve a letter from a box out the front for instructions. Terrible customer service. We asked for a refund and were abused by staff so we felt we had no choice but to leave. We were refused the refund and were not offered a solution. This was our honeymoon and it was a horrible experience.

We had a great apartment. Only problem was Byron Bay was so crowded we couldn't get bookings for dinner. I think we hit the first week of schoolies. Poor planning on our part.

Firstly Josh would have to be the most beautiful host of any accommodation I have stayed in. Nothing was too much trouble. Our apartment was clean and comfortable and was such a good price for Byron Bay.The pool area and bbq area always immaculate. We stayed for 10 days. A surprise to us was the room was cleaned after 5 days with fresh linen and towels changed as well. Thank you once again Josh and your amazing team. Julie Fidock

Very spacious and clean. Properly equipped for a week of cooking and living. Great location, though you'll have to walk into the "city" (8-10 min) if you want to go to the beach. There's no access close by. What we did NOT like is that you have NO privacy if the "second part" of the apartment is rented out to others: the apartments have two rooms with a small "connecting floor", so if you book only one room ("studio" or "one bedroom") the other part may go to someone else, and there's effectively no soundproofing at all. You hear every word of conversation, TV, baby's crying (and making...). The staff is very friendly and helpful. A coin-laundry is available, and parking is free. We'd consider this again, if we need a two-room (=whole apartment), but not again if only one part.

Very nice stay. Apartments beautifully presented. We had a one bedroom apartment, and a sofa bed in the lounge was set up ready as I requested. Lovely big verandah. Reception was helpful. Easy check-in, and secure undercover parking. Walking distance to the beach. Ticks every box āœ”ļøšŸ˜Š

It was entirely unclear to me what was "eco" about the joint. By the end, I'd inferred two meanings. First, it means they're cheap. There are no new towels, except after day 8. You are to take out your own garbage (no recycling), lest there be a crippling fee. Detergent? $3. Tea? $1 (Bushells only). Second, it means they're comediacally militant. We had two infractions leading to the despatch of the Security Marshall. First, we locked our key inside ($80). Then, noise complaint ($80). Both times noted in lead pencil in a little paper notebook. Both times with an officious message: "I'm gonna need to see some ID" and "party's over!" Honestly, leave a spare key in the lock box and just give me a buzz and ask me to keep it down. Don't police and fleece me. Otherwise, it's a good experience. Close to all of beautiful Byron. Basic but adequate facilities. Everything works.

Very clean, modern styled resort. 1BedroomApartment spacious, big balcony. Pool is tiny. Beware, where your room is located. Resort located on busiest ByronBay Main street, reception (friendly staff) 9-3 p.m. (sometimes closed earlier than 3). Towel starter package included, no poolBeachtowels, but rentable. GuestLaundry 5 AUD, Dryer also. Our first room was on the corner to main street, loud and blended by neighbour lights. Second is balcony to pool, but bedroom still to busy street. Had to pay 35 AUD for changing room (additional cleaning) next day, because arrived after reception hours. Short:Make sure to stay at the back wing (unit 15 or 16), not side or front. Pay small amounts for everything on top, BBQ (and ironing) is free at least (pool side). Couldn't give 5 stars because room on main street and corner cutting extra costs for things, which were free mostly, especially on high level paid rates (even if it is Byron Bay) No room service in 5 days (yes... self contained), new towels would cost 15 AUD (pool towels not included). 30 AUD, when litter is not cleaned after stay. Very nice stay in ByronBay anyway.

Shower leaked all over the floor, staff came to fix it, the fix was to take off the seal of the shower. The shower door still didnā€™t close without the seal and there was no handle on the inside so no way to stop the bathroom from flooding when we showered. We were not offered an alternative room or anything. Had to ask for more towels as the staff member left the room to try and mop up the water. The aircon unit outside leaked the whole time so we couldnā€™t use the outside seating area on the private patio without getting wet feet unless we wore shoes. We could hear the vacuum cleaner every morning around 8am which didnā€™t make morning very relaxing. One of the rules was that you had to take out your own bin. Felt less like a hotel and more like a low budget Airbnb. The plastic kettle was super stained internally, there was a dirty bowl with food stuck to the inside and the carpet in the bedroom was frayed. This didnā€™t feel like a $300 a night hotel. I would have made more of a fuss about it but we were only there for two days and were exhausted from travelling.

My first solo getaway with my teen daughter, & I do prefer 4-5 star accom. Great - First impressions count - Josh (GM) and Lucia were so welcoming and helpful with our early arrival - room was exactly as described on the website and was simply perfect (16b). Clean, spacious, comfortable and well decorated. - large balcony situated at back of property, hear the ocean - basic cooking facilities were all we needed (cooktop). (A small washing machine/dryer in the room would be helpful but Laundry facilities are separately available on site). - Super clean and relaxing small pool and spa - BBQ and outdoor dining facilities were lovely and shaded in the afternoon. - a short stroll to the beach, shops and restaurants. It was an easy dash when the rain began. - location, facilities and service - fabulous. Josh is happy to chat, and makes sure all is clean and well maintained. Thanks Josh and Lucia also for arranging our extra night (we didnā€™t want to leave!). We highly recommend Eco Beach Resort as a 4 star stay and will definitely return.

Daughter stayed here for Schoolies. They left the place spotless. BUT they were charged for steam cleaning of a sofa and carpet - sofa was not used as a sofa the entire time they occupied the apartment and the carpet was spotless. ABSOLUTE RORT - definitely not a happy customer. No photographic evidence or receipt to evidence so called requirement to clean. So annoyed at this. Taking this up with NSW Office of Fair Trading. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!! Post script - now itā€™s a case of my daughter and her friendsā€™ words against the owner. I maintain my statement regarding the cleanliness of this apartment when they left. No photographic proof of so-called damage from fake tan etc. I also maintain my view that this is a rort regarding Schoolies week. The same story is being heard from anyone who went to Byron - I guess this is just another source of income for any accommodation places here during these weeks. It was $39 per person, not $30. The sum is not significant, but the principle is.

Farther from beach than it looks All direct beach access is blocked by houses with fences. Need to walk 600 meters to go around the houses. Operated more like an air bnb than a hotel. Bring extra toilet paper, tissues, towels. Cleanup and empty your own trash before leaving. Pool is nice but it's small/cramped with high fence surround. I didn't see anybody use it.

Excellent location. Within walking distance from the beach and the shops. The rooms are amazing and clean. Very quiet location as well. Perfect for a getaway from the rush of city life

The accommodation is clean and tidy. However, the website suggested a kitchen - not a kitchenette, a bath - there was no bath and a washing machine in the one bedroom apartments - we had to pay $5 to use a communal washing machine and another $5 for the communal dryer. Need to ensure the advertisements match the facilities. Otherwise OK.

Clean, comfortable accommodation. Lovely staff, pool, spa and barbecue area and in very close proximity to town centre.

Very nice room with kitchenette, bathroom and plenty of space. Tiled floor, private balcony etc. There's a small pool in the courtyard. A few minutes walk to the main strip and the beach.

Eco Beach was the perfect stay! Value for money, cleanliness, location, and staff were all highest standard (I've stayed at a few places in Byron and none have compared on any of these fronts).
The staff are super friendly and helpful, and I couldn't have been happier with my room - it was cleaner than many 5 star hotels! It was also spacious and had many amenities if you want to cook etc.
My room also had a beautiful private balcony that got lovely sun and a view of the ocean. Location wise it's amazing - a short walk to two beaches and the main town. Fabulous!!!

A nice spot, and a close walk into town and other amenities. Great front desk staff, especially Cheryl...though I did find a very dried up insect under the table, dirt under the beds, and the spa reeked of bleach, which was pretty disappointing, especially for an Eco resort (I thought they would have used salt.)

Start with the positive ......which is the location!. Excellent location with shops and beach within walking distance, .. but that's where it ends. Our apartment was not managed by the resort, so we were on our own. The so called sofa bed in our apartment was a joke......you can not sleep on it at all! It was really bad..... strongly recommend that the owner replaces the sofa bed in apartment 8B. The cleanliness was also questionable..

Pros: location! Cons: self contained room Our room was clean and spacious. I think it is a good place for a couple or young family. The staff is lovely and helpful. It is self contained so bring things like shampoo and shower gel/soap if you are staying for longer than a couple of days. It has a shared laundry, jacuzzi, cute swimming pool and barbecue - all you really need when the weather is not the best and you need to stay on the premises.

Phenomenal resort, had plenty of included perks (sunrise yoga, free movies). Both the pools are great, the adult one is very warm and has really good tacos and a swim up bar, the main pool has great drinks and service as well. The gin bar up on the lookout is well worth a visit for sunset.
