Great beach. Very nice to visit or swim or surf.

Such a beautiful place that more people need to visit. If you get there at the right time, you can watch "hippies" draw in the sand. Uploaded some photos. Truly amazing what they create and the bars make good priced cocktails all year round. Main beach should definitely be one of the places you visit whilst doing the East Coast of Australia if you are a backpacker or just a visitor.

Great beach, plenty to see and do. Many local shops and restaurants. There is plenty of paid street parking around. But it can get packed during peak periods. Only certain parts of the beach have life guards if going for a dip. Drove under 1hr from Gold Coast airport. It's worth a visit.

Huge beach with plenty of space! The waves can be a bit crazy though! Not the best beach to swim at but great for surfers. In the evening the tide comes up really high towards the rocks.

Very busy place but there are everything here you need, shops, restaurants, surfing lessons, sea activities...

Must visit place at evening on weekends l!

Byron Bay ....not worth the hype and definitely not worth the visit. Dirty and smelly and looks like the place has been neglected for years. Paid parking is a joke to go to the beach...and you wouldn't know what the revenue pays for by the state of the place The ocean views were great ....but ruined by everything surrounding it. There are so many better places to visit or live ....

5⭐ for the beach, 3⭐ for far too many people

This is a great beach - lots of room - great to watch the surfers at sunset.

Beautiful beach! We got there late, but enjoyed the sunset. I didn’t see any convenient restrooms or favorites close by.

The beach was great with nice views but there was low sunlight at the time so we didn’t get to see the best of its views.

To understand what Byron Bay is all about, one must visit its beaches and one of my favourites is the Main Beach at day and night time!

A beautiful beach, super soft sand, clean, calm & safe. Parking can be a hassle on a busy day & expensive. The toilet block was being renovated so there was quite the line up and no change rooms either which was annoying. We saw whales as well!

A lovely sunset viewing spot at the rocky outcrops recommended by the locals. Was really lucky with the weather to watch a spectacular sunset!

Main Beach, Byron Bay...a beautiful beach, in a beautiful location full of beautiful people. The water quality was outstanding, waves were great fun for the kids and the beach has a low tide paddling pool which is perfect for very small children.
