Not the cheapest place but great and authentic atmosphere, with delicious food and attentive service, definitely recommend! We were offered the wine to taste first before pouring, and a free “tapa” to go along. From there, every dish was lovely and the (sizzling) garlic prawn was definitely the star🤩 Bread basket was also refreshed throughout the meal. We arrived close to 2 pm on a Saturday, place was just over half full (it’s a cruise day). By the time we left a crowd was outside waiting for their tables. (If you enjoy seeing/hearing all the actions, sitting at tables next to the bar is the way to go)

Our Spanish tapas experience here is absolutely amazing and the experience was really authentic too, the staff were very attentive and passionate. They speak very little English but we had no problem communicate at all, the staff and the restaurant manager (our maybe owner) always tried their best to introduce good dishes to us. We had boiled local Spanish prawn, fried anchovies, and grilled squid 🦑 all very simple dishes but it was so great. Definitely recommended if you're looking for an authentic tapas bar 🍺🍻

We had dinner at Casa Lazo and the food and service were both excellent. The staff were very attentive and helpful (not always the case in these kinds of local tapas restaurants!) and we tried a selection of cold and hot dishes, all delicious! Highly recommended.

Nice fresh authentic Spanish food - the tuna on the plancha was beautifully done and the garlic prawns come sizzling to your table. The pork cheek is also worth ordering, the meat falls apart with a fork. Friendly staff who are happy for you to practice your Spanish. The menu was in dual language - Spanish and English. Reservation recommended as it gets busy.

Typical spanish place. The food is good we had the surtido iberico (mixed plate), salmonete frito (fried fish) and presa. Can recommend this place, if you are interested in spanish food.

This won't be the cheapest meal you've had in Cadiz, but I'd be surprised if you didn't feel it was good and worth it. Very nice Spanish food with a twist, served by pleasant and humorous male staff. The tuna tatami was mouthwatering. The desserts are lovely, if a little small. It's busy, and has tourists for a good reason. I'd go there again in a heartbeat.

We had a lovely lunch there. Food was really delicious but service was even better! Very friendly and attentive staff. Highly recommend Cachopo, crocquetas, puntillitas and salmorejo.

Excellent Service - Menu in photos 👌🏽 Do not skip this place. We came here for a quick breakfast, pan tostado with olive oil and ham. The owner asked us to return to lunch. We had planned to go to one of Rick Steve’s recommendations for lunch but those places were full of tourists with no room. We remembered this place and glad we came because it is a traditional place with locals.

Wow! What an amazing place! Everyone is super friendly and kind. Very hospitable, you feel like you’re over at a friends house. Everything we ate was incredibly tasty and fresh. Even the little starter of bread, garlic carrots and potatoes was delicious. We dined here for lunch one day and nothing else compared afterwards so we had to come back for dinner our last night in Cadiz. Excellent, top notch service and food.

Excellent!! Owner talked us through the amazing menu and then left us to decide! Food was brilliantly prepared and tasted incredible. The restaurant is small but intimate and filled with locals, always a good sign! If you have anything, finished with the rice pudding and honey cake - homemade and world class. It’s these types of restaurants, with interested and engaged owners, that make travel to new places so rewarding.

Nicely surprised by the late night dining experience. Every dish we ordered was high quality. Tuna tataki, garlic prawn and pork cheek. The cheek was so tender. Even the pairs fries were delicious too. A bit pricey though, but still highly recommended!

Just chose this by pot luck and by reviews like this. Popped in early and booked a place at the bar for lunch. Great tapas and full of locals and shouting waiters - fab! Great local red wine called Garum.

Easy-going place with great tapas and beyond. We tried a lot of different dishes with two to die for: atùn a la plancha and artichokes with anchovies. Super helpful staff.

The kitchen was not opened yet...but we had a great welcome and we had a few drinks and some jamon and queso. My daughter has allergies to egg and nuts and they took this on board. We ate very well the food and service was great...I recommend to everyone.
