Elegant cafe. Only had vino blanco and olives, so can't say anything about the food. But I really like these kind of places.

I saw a recommendation online to come here to see the fancy decor, so I did. I was not disappointed! It is as glamour as the photos. I got a breakfast for 11 euros. I thought it would be more considering the fanciness and history. The ham and bread was good but of course nothing ever special. I also got the cafe con leche. That’s quite good. I was most amused when they gave me the pineapple juice and it’s from Minute Maid. This is a nice place to chill from walking and just enjoy the gorgeous decor, the artwork and the history behind the place. But I would not come here for the food.

Such a lovely setting with delicious dishes - we had the picatostes, pancakes and jamon toast. Highly recommend the traditional picatostes. Waitresses were all so friendly and speedy.

A very pleasant experience, the interior decoration is wonderful. It has two parts as you enter a cafe section and separate restaurant. Service is very traditional and lovely to see these days. Nice selection of cakes available and very good coffee. Would recommend.

You must not leave Cadiz without having a break at the Café Royalty. Legendary: "Picatostes Gaditanos" with a cup of chocolate. This is not just "hot chocolate". This. Is. Liquid. Hot. Chocolate. Important: leave 2 hours before and after. This combination is both incredibly tasty and filling :-)

Fantastic lunch today at the Cafe Royal, we had the set tapas menu, which included 3 tapas, a desert and a glass of wine. The service was estupendo, the decor was stunning… the flavours of the tapas were amazing. Highly recommend.

Best food in the south of Spain I think so far! Very refined cuisine, good service and a unique décor. Time travel to the 60s. We met the owner and he made us feel like home with some wonderful local wine. A must eat in Cádiz!

Good food, excellent service, first rate ambience. A welcome break from regular spanish restaurants. This cafe/restaurant would be a favourite spot in any country. Thank you to Ness and Manual for making Cafe Royalty an event to become a life long memory.

Contender for the most surprising place to find a real Sachertorte, exquisite interior, fine-dining quality service. The only downside is the coffee - they really need to buy better beans - one of the most bitter drinks I’ve had in my life, even the copious amounts of milk foam on the cappuccino could not save it.

Delightful dinner, place was booked out but they set a table in the cafe side which was just fine. The wait staff is top notch as well as the food !

Old Town, centrally located. Very beautiful restaurant with exceptionally good service & food. Prices very good. Ambiance terrific. Only tapas in afternoon but best you will find. We had the Tapas Set menu @ 26 euros. What a great value. 3 choices plus desert & glass of wine!! Highly recommended!

Good tapas and wine place with a lot of locals. The only problem is some waiters don't speak a word of english but they are generally helpful

Knowledgeable waitress that helped me choose a dairy free breakfast. The place is beautiful and full of history. I'm going back next time I'm in Cadiz. It's a little pricy comparing it to other local restaurants but I had a great experience.

This is an old school restaurant with tapas bar one side and restaurant the other. The interior is fabulous, baroque I think, and transports you into a bygone age. The service is in that style with everything brought on a trolley and served at the table including the water! The waiter was pleasant and charming. However it was empty when we were there, perhaps eating too early for the Spaniards, and it lacked atmosphere. The food just missed for us but was a good effort Anyway we enjoyed the experience and would recommend it

The restaurant’s atmosphere is small and intimate, a classic fine dining experience. The pianist was great as well. The house salad appetizer was in my opinion better than the main course of white fish on asparagus rice, the picatostes for dessert was mind blowing. 4/5 only because I arrived and was just gawked at. I had to walk myself to the bar to be seated, waited too long to be given a menu that I contemplated leaving, and the waitresses were kind of slow on refilling my drinks. In other words, service could have been a little better. They do take card or cash. I dined alone; a 4 course menu, still water and a small/personal bottle of brut came up to 78€, so expect a high bill, this isn’t a cheap eatery.

The decor is a delight the food is super, this is a get to early sort of venue I would imagine in high season it would be heaving. 👍👍👍

Very nice location, good coffee. Not that much vegetarian options, but a lot of delicious cake!

5-star service but sadly the food falls short of expectation completely. A medium steak turned out to be bloody and the duck breast lacks taste. Truly disappointed in spite of the wonderful service and ambiance ….

Beautiful restaurant and wonderful food. The staff were professional and helpful. Their breakfast buffet was amazing with a wide array of foods to choose from.

Delicious food and beautiful setting however the service was terrible. We were the only people there and they just basically ignored us. Took 40 minutes to get water for the table. Food also very very slow. We arrived at 7.15 and were served our dinner at 9.15. Positive is that food was amazing!!

Well worth a visit when in Cadiz. Beautifully restored restaurant situated in a lovely square. Food amazing and excellent service.

Elegant fancy location to sip a nice cup of tea/ coffe. Facing an exquisite piazza. The coffee shop was opened 1912. Looks like it is one of the oldest in Spain. Belle Epoque style, with the ceiling being painted by famous Spanish artist -I just can't remember the name :). They have a variety of sweets, cafes, tea. The moment you walk in is like you walk in another epoque. Enjoy :)

Came to dinner and it was amazing. The food is as good as it looks, service was fantastic and romantic style architecture is divine. It’s a little pricy, but the experience worth it.

We ate at the tapas area of this restaurant (more casual) which is adjacent to the fine dining part of the restaurant. Highly recommend the tapas menu! Must try the avocado stuffed croquettes, curry tapas with rice, picatostes for dessert. 2 months later I'm still thinking about the food I ate there :)

Our first visit to Cádiz we were in an apartment on this square. The meal here was absolutely lovely - sashimi tuna excellent - the lady waiting on us was professional and helpful - the decoration was baroque romantic. A great birthday treat and would come again even if not celebrating anything!

Excellent salt baked sea Bass, friendly staff in a room fit for the royalty of ancient Vienna. LOVED it ♥️

When you are in a town for just a day, it's really difficult to find a fine dining place. Choosing the wrong restaurant may easily break otherwise enjoyable experience. Don't leave this decision to a chance. If you're in Cadiz choose Cafe Royalty. Incredible dining experience is guaranteed. To say the food is delicious does not express greatness of this place. The food is at the level of art! The service is top class. The staff is friendly and attentive. If you want your dining experience to be as beautiful as Cadiz itself, visit Cafe Royalty. Yes, this is not a cheap place but if you want to go for the best, you can't go wrong with this restaurant.

A wonderful, historically significant place to eat breakfast or lunch. The waiters provide excellent service and attention, and the staff is exceptionally friendly and attentive. The coffee (and I say this as an Italian) is among the best I've ever tasted. I recommend the fried bread; unfortunately, I found it on the last day, but I would return just for that!
