La
Caleta
is
what
I
would
describe
as
a
"city
beach"
which
for
me
personally
doesn't
really
cut
it.
If
you're
looking
for
something
with
nicer
sand,
more
space
and
better
swimming
I'd
recommend
the
15
minute
walk
to
Playa
Santa
Maria
del
Mar
or
Playa
Maria
de
la
Victoria.
Having
said
that
there
are
a
lot
of
positives.
The
location
is
great
-
close
to
bars
and
restaurants
and
with
views
of
San
Sebastian
and
Santa
Catalina
castles.
It's
also
a
good
spot
to
catch
a
sunset.
There's
a
beach
club
and
beach
chairs
and
snacks
are
available.
The
beach
is
shallow
so
it's
safe
for
children
and
there
is
a
lifeguard.
However
it's
quite
tidal
and
when
the
tide
goes
out
it's
not
so
pretty
to
look
at
and
would
make
me
think
twice
about
actually
swimming
there
-
especially
with
all
the
small
fishing
boats
moored
there.
The
footing
could
be
quite
slippery
and
rocky.
