Beautiful hotel, just at the beach. Big rooms, nice stuff, quiet. We loved the pool and the beach. Close to shops and restaurants. I got sick and the stuff took a good care of me, they were very helpful, thank you! I would stay here again for sure.

Great facilities - rooms, pool, restaurant etc. My only issue was the check out process. I was told 3 Wine glasses were missing from the suite. That I have to pay $15. There is no log or record of all the items in the suite when I checked in. Seem like a scheme with the front desk and house keeping. Use my credit card to pay the $15 because I did not get a receipt, when I initially paid in cash. This is how.

My family and I paid for a suite costing approximately 1300 USD for 3 nights to enjoy the new years eve. We had an apartment in front of the seaside but sadly I had to go through the following bad experiences: 1) There was a leakage coming from the rooftop and the water was falling in one of the beds. That meant that two family members could barely sleep in the hotel. 2) The hotel barely moved to fix the issue (other than sending someone to the rooftop and not fixing the leakage from the rooftop.) 3) Personally speaking, I think the hotel could have done a bit more to fix the issue (lowering the price we paid for the hotel, fixing the leakage etc.) However, the hotel was not proactive at all in fixing the issue. The quality of the food is descent at least and the views are amazing. I just think the hotel has to improve the maintenance part. I'm giving a 1 star because its hard to believe that you pay for a suite (penthhouse) and you are getting a leakage from the roof into your bed. Will not recommend this hotel since I believe there are other apartments that are cheaper and much better.

Booked a suite, rooms is nice but got walk 3 flight of stairs to go in and out. Questioning a deposit that was asked at the front desk in case anything was taken out of fridge, but when we opened the fridge, everything was empty so what was the deposit for when everything els you gotta pay on the spot? Free breakfast, is just one free meal. Cable didn’t even work, only one channel was showing and that didn’t even work. Pretty much your just paying for a room next to the beach with pool access.

Hotel is nice with clean luxury spacious rooms with two bathroom sinks (this is the superior delux room I think). Hote has a nice ocean side pool and bar. At check in, Juan helped me with an issue with my reservation and fixed it. During check out, I was told that I lost the blue pool towel and had to pay 20$, but there was no blue towels in the room from the begining. Although I did not pay anything but this wasted some of my time.

Beautiful rooms and ocean views. Off the main street so we were not troubled by street noise. The hotel takes pride in it's water filtration system. We drank the water and had no problem whatsoever. The restaurant is right at the water's edge and the food was delicious. We will doubtless return many times.

This place is nothing like I expected. No type of entertainment AT ALL. Also once at the “resort” you get asked to pay $200 for a security deposit I wasn’t aware of. Theres a supermarket just out side in case you need to get anything, they only include the breakfast. The room it self was okay, ocean view at least. Just a pool and a seaside restaurant. Only good thing is the food.

Great place to stay near where the action is, but not in it. Super quiet environment. No nosy guests, people are very respectful, staff is very helpful.

For the price, this is a great stay! The bar closes pretty early for it to be a bar but luckily, you are walking distance from a bunch of places! The view was great and the pool was welcoming. Just be warned that there are no elevators...so you have to carry your luggage up and down the stairs

Such a great way to end a trip! Great staff and take pride in their business. One big thing that would make this resort amazing would be its location. You have to walk up a up the street, and this is no flat service. You have to pay close attention. You don't walk by the street to get to the resort as it is narrow. There were many resorts and hotels on the main street, which is much easier to find and access

The hotel was accessible, close to the city, and the view was so amazing !! The food was good but a little expensive for what I took.. The first room (penthouse) was so majestic, elegant, big, spacious and the view 🤩🤩 the kitchen was also big and the sofa so cool!! And the second room (I left the hotel to went to Las Terrenas before I came back at Velero Beach Hotel) was tiny but useful, and the view so beautiful ! I recommend this hotel !

Overall this place was great! Staff were really friendly and the location is incredible being that it's located right on the water and just slightly east of all the action! The room was spacious with an upgraded bathroom but everything else was quite outdated but for the price that was to be expected. The pool area was lovely and the food at the onsite restaurant was way better than we expected except for the breakfast which was very average. The view from our room on the 3rd floor was amazing but if you are elderly or

Best place to stay in Cabarete. Out of the madness, just a quick stroll. The restaurant could be better, but it isn't terrible.

So far one of the best hotels we've been in. Huge apartment and rooms, clean, ocean view and very friendly staff.

This hotel has a very nice breakfast/dinner area at the Ocean front and staff is very nice and supportive. However the rooms are in urgent need of a complete refurbishment, furniture is really old and the bathroom looked like it was at least 20 years old. Overall the room (junior suite) was overcrowded with furniture and not very cosy. The bed was far too small, my boyfriend had his feet hanging outside the bed. Clearly this hotel did not meet our expectations for a 4 star hotel. We left prematurely as we found Cabarete really disappointing altogether, even though we came for windsurfing.

Constant issues and while the staff was friendly they weren't really able to address them... Imagine paying for the biggest room to not be able to use the bed due to a leakage? They try to fix it but couldn't, they didn't seem to care more like an attitude "well, we tried" I've never experienced this in any of the resorts in Dominican Republic. Breakfast included so it was good but honestly, there is literally NO ENTERTAINMENT in this resort whatsoever. I am aware its not an all inclusive but seriously not even something basic at the pool? They don't really even have a beach and you have to cross to the left side. Considering how much it cost and how much you pay overall for meals plus the service I'd say its better to go to an all inclusive. They only had ONE KEY for an apartment that had 3 queen size beds... The internet worked at least and was fast enough. Restaurant didn't seem really organized but the food was good. Would I ever come back? Hell no. Even if I'm offered to come for free I'd rather spend money in an all inclusive. You can literally go to the beach for free there and anywhere else.... Why pay for that resort? For a pool and a basic breakfast? AVOID AT ALL COST.

The hotel itself was decent. It was relatively clean. The location is great because it is close to everything, the beach, shops, and restaurants. Parking is ok. It is small so you sometimes have to leave the keys with the attendants so they can move your car to let others out. Breakfast was free and it was a good portion. Dinner was not included but the price was reasonable for the large portions of food they serve. The staff was nice. The main reason I am rating them two stars is because I paid the deposit for the room with my card. That was back on Nov 12th. Over a month later and I still have not received the refund from them, after various calls and no solution. Although I would have stayed there again, after this has happened I will not be staying there again.

We are residents and heard the restaurant was good so we went. My wife and I were amazingly surprised by the quietness, decor and the ocean view. The food was delicious, service was great and the bill was fair. To top it off, we were approached by one of the owners asking how was the food and service which shows pride of ownership and care towards their guests. This Restaurant has been added to our repertoire as we eat out twice a week. Just loved it!
