Important things to know: 1. There is constant construction noise that echoes through the bay. You cannot escape it. There will be no realaxing to the sound of the ocean if that was your plan. Just a constant jack hammer noise. It looks like they are developing the entire mountain side, and beachfront restaurants so it'll probably go on for at least another year. 2. The beach is mostly large sand, like little pebbles. Bring footware if this will hurt your feet. (Photo because I haven't see anyone show this up close) 4. This might be the only beach I found in Cabo with a complete handicap walkway AND designated cabana as well. 5. Bring a snorkel/mask. Boat tour companies bring guests here to snorkle for a reason 6. Pick up your trash. That includes food, fruit peels, masks...leave only footprints.

Absolutely love this beach!!! It is so beautiful. From the safe waters to the pebble beach. Snorkeling is amazing and the water is very clear. Bit of a walk to get there now but have new showers and change rooms. Definitely a place to go to get out of the normal tourist beaches. Hail a cab or book an uber. Definitely worth the ride. Also a place to rent umbrellas and snorkel gear too.

Beautiful beach with restrooms and showers. We took a cab from the Riu for $15 - got the drivers number and had him pick us back up and into town for lunch - for another $15. Turned out to be a pretty cheap excursion. This is one of the snorkeling spots that the catamarans come to - there was at least 11 by the time we left. The water was cold so we skipped the snorkeling but enjoyed the beautiful beach and surroundings.

Awesome Beach. Tons of fish, and birds hunting for fish. Beautiful. Great place to go snorkeling. Must stop if you are in the area. Also got to see a humpback whale cruising by.

Like Chileno Bay, this place is kept clean, there is plenty of parking, bathrooms and showers, you spend the afternoon very comfortably and there are no street vendors.

I really loved the beach. It has free bathrooms, showers, drinking water, there is palapa for handicapped and also possible to hide in shade in the rocks on the right end of the beach if you don't bring own umbrella. At night there is nice lighting from hotel to the bay. Snorkeling is great-so big variety of fishes and water is crystal clear and pleasant to swim. I saw iguana, squirrel in the rocks. Unfortunately not possible to climb the hill as it's private property 🤣

The beach is very nice, I didn't really like the sand since it is thick and at first it is almost stones, I had to see whales while I was on the beach, the only bad thing is that the bathrooms, being public, are very dirty, there is nothing so bring your umbrella and snack, there are people who rent you umbrellas and chairs but there is nothing for food

Beautiful beach. It has a nice walkway leading to the beach. There is also clean restrooms and showers. The beach is pretty secluded which means you can enjoy a relaxing time. The water is pretty clean. However, the sand is painfully rocky so i would recommend taking water shoes.

Wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle of beaches in Cabo, Santa Maria Beach was the perfect location. Beautiful cove, with spectacular snorkeling. Even had a whale swim into the area for a short visit. Sand is a rougher, larger pebble sand, so a little tough on the feet, but a very clean beach, that is well maintained. Water is amazingly clear. Picture perfect area, shared public beach with a beach club. Bathrooms and showers are in the parking lot area, a little walk to the beach. A quick and cheap taxi/Uber ride from Cabo.

This is a hidden gem, our Lyft driver gave us the scoop on this beautiful beach. This beach is perfect for snorkeling, relaxing, and taking pictures, they do not have snorkle rentals or vendors on this beach so bring food and swim gear, there was a shack that rented chairs and umbrellas. The best place to swim and snorkle was all the way to the right and about 2 to 3 hundred feet out over the rocks and coral the water is clearer and Tons of tropical fish. Park in parking lot and walk down to beach. They have showers and bathrooms at the parking lot. Beautiful Amazing Beach. Thousands of beautiful fish that swim with you as if you have crackers in your pockets I only had videos of the fish so I couldn't post the pictures. The best place to see the fish is all the way to the right and a little ways out the water all of a sudden gets super clear

Amazing beach, I highly recommend checking it out if you are ever in the Los Cabos. Very scenic, great snorkeling. I recommend bringing your own food, beverages and snorkelling gear because there is nothing in the area. We spent half the day here and it was one of our highlights of our trip.

Beautiful beach and best of all you can swim in this one. Swimming at the coast is something else with the waves, a lot of fun 🥳

An amazing beach. Truly world-class for a public access beach. The parking lot is spacious with clean restrooms and fresh water showers that have great pressure! The walkway to the beach is all covered and protects from the sun well for the 400yds there’s to walk. Beach itself is beautiful, full of marine life on the flanks and highly contrasting blues.

PLAYA SANTA MARIA - My favorite beach, located in a beautiful protected cove. Absolutely breathtaking taking and picturesque. Beautiful clear blue water, Rock formations. Yachts. Never seaweed. Great for swimming young and old as well as FREE SNORKELING 🤿 At your own leisure. Come one come all Best in Cabo. Not busy. Public beach. Free Parking. No pets. Bathrooms on site. Umbrella rental. Lifeguard on Duty. No food service available. Bring your own food and drink in a cooler. Locals like to pickup a pizza to go before arriving. Sand is course so wear shoes to your landing spot. Pack a beach blanket as well and a hat of course 😉🏖️

Felt more private since there were less hawkers trying to sell. Doesn't have soft sand, but a great beach to relax at.

Playa Santa Maria is an excellent public beach for all. Many local families gather for the day. There is a big paved parking lot and a public washroom you may want to use before walking downhill to the beach. We enjoyed swimming, and the snorkeling was amazing with all the schools of fish that are looking for handouts. A beautiful beach to relax in the sun. You’ll want to bring your own beach umbrella for sun protection. ☀️

If you’re lucky enough you get to see whales communicating with each other. Calm and clear beach.

Gorgeous beach beautiful colour water perfect for swimming. Great place for snorkeling. What can get annoying are the boats that pull in, and there’s lots of them playing loud music and unfortunately lots of screaming drunk females which can get really annoying. It’s too bad because they ruin it. The best part, you’ll see many whales (it’s February) from the beach. Bring binoculars

Awesome beach to bring my sea gods paddleboard. Not too crowded and boat traffic is separated from snorkeling and paddleboarding.

An incredible beach. Right next to the Montage, this beach is a great place to get in the warm ocean undisturbed. The water (in August) was perfect temperature, and the sand was not too hot. Just an amazing place with a great atmosphere!

Beautiful beach, very calm waters. Perfect for snorkeling or even scuba diving as the boats are all out in the cove. Occasionally you will see a pirate boat sailing by!
