We booked a vacation for the NYE holiday through Southwest. My boyfriend is a returning customer and raves about this resort. A day before we were to fly out we both tested positive for Covid. Doing the right thing we canceled our trip. Southwest refunded our travel portion of the trip fully. However, Marina Fiesta refused to refund our money AND would not put our funds towards another stay. The reservations manager was willing to do so but the sales manager refused and charged us a 100% penalty resulting in a full loss of our funds at the resort. We begged to simply apply the funds and use them later, but he would not budge. So while we are in the middle of a pandemic and Covid tested when feeling ill, to do the right thing, we lost out on our vacation. We 100% understand there are rules but would foresee some flexibility during a pandemic especially since we were willing to rebook using the travel funds. I would think twice before booking. While we looked forward to staying at this location again, we will not be willing to lose more money through this resort. We are highly disappointed.

Why do I love the Marina Festiva? Well, it all starts from the moment I get out of the shuttle and am greeted by sincere smiling faces and a caring attitude from all the staff. It always feels like a second home and these are my hand picked staff! Doesn't get any better! I have been coming for the past 6 years and wouldn't think of going anywhere else. For me it's location, location, location it's just an added bonus to have such a nicely run boutique hotel!

DON’T BOOK HERE - LISTEN TO THE OTHER BAD REVIEWS. THIS IS THE WORST EXPERIENCE WE’VE EVER HAD AT AN ALL-INCLUSIVE RESORT. THE MANAGERS YELL AT AND IN FRONT OF THEIR GUESTS. Let me start by saying that we travel to Cabo and other Mexico destinations all the time and booked this in hopes of a quick getaway at a budget-friendly, all-inclusive resort. What a mistake that was. Once we arrived at 11:30am, they informed us that we only booked all-inclusive for one night. That was not at all clear on the website as most AI hotels require AI for your entire stay. Oh well, no harm no foul. The front desk then said to come back at 2pm to check in to our room. We went and killed time for hours, and returned at 215pm. When we arrived back, the concierge schmoozed us with a bunch of promises and free breakfast. When we finally arrived to our room, the cleaner was still in the middle of cleaning and said our room wouldn’t be ready for ANOTHER HOUR. Exhausted, we went back to the front desk. Surprise, surprise they didn’t care. No offer for a new room and they were super rude about it. At this point my wife was fed up and asked for a refund. The staff and supervisor refused, and once voices were raised the supervisor YELLED at both of us in front of the other customers. We’ve NEVER witnessed anything like this at an all-inclusive resort. After a promise to try to resolve with a refund they came back again and denied smugly saying our room was ready. Awful customer service. Zero empathy. Truly a cheap low value place with staff to match. You get what you pay for, so go spend the money and get actual service and peace of mind. Stay far away!

Had a three night (all inclusive) stay at this resort. Had to pay an extra $120 (USD) extra on top of our all inclusive cost to stay here just to get a view of the pool… the first room they gave us was on the first floor, one side faced the parking lot and the view out of the patio was propane tanks and a AC unit… I don’t even know why there is a room with this set up?? Anyway, the food was not that great and the little restaurants around there that were part of the “all inclusive” offer were not much better. The staff is not too friendly and the lobby is a hub for vultures trying to sell you a time share… All around, not the most ideal spot to stay for vacation. I would definitely recommend finding a different resort. Hope this review helps you in your search!

(Wanted to update this post, management tried their best to make it right for us, which was appreciated.)We booked Marina Fiesta which is in the heart of town, walking to everywhere. Upon checking in, we were informed they had no rooms, that we had to stay at their ‘sister’ resort, 15 minutes by car out of town. Once we got to the sister resort, we encountered 4 other groups who were told the same thing, so this is obviously common practice. Now we are trapped eating at the hotel or taking a shuttle which runs every 2 hours in and out of town. I wish I had read my review before we got here, this is a nightmare. So the hotel gave us some room credit and moved us back to main Marina Fiesta resort, which we of course love! It’s just perfect. I just hate we lost the 2 days of vacation being off site and out of the main town. I MUST suggest that you call a few days to a week prior to arriving to be sure they did not overbook and you actually have a room. If you can get in, you won’t be disappointed. Best location in Cabo.

We loved this place. Perfect location to be able to walk to everything. Great value, amenities, location, and staff. The room also had two queen beds, a sitting area, a bar sitting area that is part of the kitchen, and even has a safe to keep items.

This is unfortunately the worst “all inclusive” I have ever been to. From making a person sign for every drink, to having no on site locations to have a meal, this was a complete disappointment. I truly wish I had never stayed here. I will spend my money and time elsewhere in the future. I was offered to order off of Uber eats though, which felt nice having spent 2k for 3 days. What a waste.

I have mixed feelings about this resort. The staff were amazing, however there is no on-site restaurants except breakfast...you have to eat in the golden zone at the Marina (reservation to eat supper is needed). It's a very very small resort, a bit dated and not exactly clean especially in the bathrooms. They didn't even clean our room daily. The dishes in our room kitchen smelled so bad i refused to cook anything there. Ewww. They also told me that they had a wheelchair accessible room and they don't. I ended up sitting on a shower chair in the middle of the bathroom dumping buckets of water on my head just to wash myself. I was definitely angry about having to do this. They also had to take the door off the bathroom just so I could access the toilet. Other than those things it's in a great location not far from a beach. Again the staff was amazing and we had a blast in Cabo.

We came to Cabo for our wedding on Pedregal beach with our 5 adult children (19-27). We chose Marina Fiesta for them mainly because of its ideal location to walk to the restaurants and nightlife. We opted for the all inclusive package for food and drinks and I cannot rave enough about how the restaurants included in the package exceeded my expectations! We had no problem getting into the restaurants , even at prime time , 7PM. Great variety of cuisines,we enjoyed every one of them! The breakfast buffet poolside was perfect, everyone was able to eat whenever they wanted and even had a made to order omelette station. The pool swim up bar was fantastic, some of our kids got to know the bartenders pretty well … haha. We are already looking at our calendars for next year to come back and make it an annual vacation spot to get all the kids together ! Best money spent.

A very nice resort with a quaint appeal. The service was good and the staff helpful and pleasant. Gildardo assisted me in the gym and was a pleasure to interact with. Samuel also offered excellent service. I did not care for the view from my balcony however. The hotel is maintained otherwise, and surrounded by mountains and water. I enjoyed my stay and the warmth of the people. Thank you!

Great price, friendly staff, easy check in! The good: VERY accommodating staff, beautiful views and quality rooms. They kindly helped us after having a horrible experience at another resort. The bad: a concierge will help get you activities and such, but beware of offered complimentary breakfasts at “sister” resorts. They are designed bribery events where some talented and not so talented sales people will give you “free gifts” and force you into big time share contracts.

We stayed 5 nights with the all inclusive plan. Miguel , the concierge was extreme helpful and charming. Marina Fiesta you are fortunate to have such a caring staff member. Vladimir waited on us at breakfast and lunch and gave us excellent service. You do need to sign for everything but you get use to it . The restaurants right outside the hotel have decent food and a great view. You do need reservations. The beds have a memory foam topper amd were a great quality. Highly recommend this resort for a reasonably priced all inclusive.

This is a great hotel and I've stayed here 3 times. Such a perfect location for Cabo, in the center of everything. Breakfast Omelettes are highly recommended and the AC and pool area etc are all great. I would give it 5 stars but there is one major flaw. The store/market connected to the resort is a total rip-off. For example, $47 (USD) for a small tube of baby sunscreen which would be $5 to $10 in the US. I don't even remember the last time I saw that kind of price gouging anywhere. I wanted to leave a separate review for that store, but since it's not listed on Google, I assume they must be affiliated with the hotel. Also, the store was recommended by the hotel staff so for these reasons, I'm including it with the hotel review.

All inclusive option did not include gratuity and we had to sign a bill for anything we got. Despite having a wrist band- sign a check for every drink etc. This means that you tip on their prices. Dinner at the Lobster Resturant (or all of the restaurants on site) doesn't include lobster, or any of the higher end items at all restaurants on site. No big deal right? Wrong, they charge US prices in Mexico. So lobster was eighty five dollars, crab legs one hundred and fifty dollars. Not included in the all inclusive pricing. We had a one hundred and sixty dollar dinner (for 2 with drinks) and I would have rather paid for street tacos. Do not do all inclusive at this resort it is a rip off. There was no swimming up to the swim up bar for a drink until you signed a check for all items. I've never stayed at an all inclusive where you tipped more than into a tip jar. Location was excellent. Room nice, food and packages- not worth it at all.

Nice location. A little dated but clean. Good food and food selection. Dinner reservations for all inclusive were easy. Although sitting through a presentation was brought up occasionally, they still were not really overbearing. Located in a nice area to stroll around in.

I stay here anytime I go down to Cabo, the staff are courteous and will bend over backwards to make your stay the best. There's nothing like kicking your feet up on the balcony in the heat of the day and having a cold beverage and the swim up bar at the pool is fun. If you take what I call the back exit of the hotel it takes you right to the walk around the marina, there is a convenience store and restaurant to the right also as soon as you walk out. The concierges are knowledgeable and I learn something about Cabo everytime I go and talk to them.

My husband and I have never done all inclusive and our goal was to sit by a pool and have not a care in the world. Mostly a great experience. The location is fantastic and the service team was really wonderful. A couple of things to be aware of is the staff is extremely pushy about having you attend an event trying to sell you timeshares. The absolute first thing when we walked through the doors was a sales person trying to convince us to go to another location and attend a 90 MINUTE talk about it. Continued people trying to solicit to us for this activity. It’s extremely tacky and disrespectful. The other thing I would recommend is to purchase a bottle of liquor or two elsewhere to add to your cocktails when desired. If there was any alcohol in any of the cocktails I was served, I never noticed it. Be aware that this is the touristy area in the marina so if you leave the resort property and walk around the marina you will be accosted by hundreds of individuals soliciting jewelry, hats, fishing trips, and of course drugs. All of these things were minor details and we still had a wonderful time.

Above avg all inclusive. 3 resorts with shared access. I would recommend the sister Hacienda... Much classier. Food options were pretty good, but beware... Reservations are ESSENTIAL! NO JOKE... Plan accordingly 🙁 And be prepared on arrival to be hijacked when you most wanna relax to "have the resort" explained... In other words, time share soft pitch

Booked this location as a last minute option. It was a great stay. Service was excellent! We did the all inclusive but we were only able to eat at one of the restaurants (short stay) and they also had great service. The hotel breakfast buffet is decent. This is a good location. 5 minute walk to the beach and it’s next to shops and pier. Very clean. Pool was also clean and enjoyable.

Love this place! We have gone 2 years in a row now. Hugo the entertainment coordinator is the absolute BEST, he does activities throughout the day in and out of the pool. The poolside waiters/waitresses are on top of it too. Freddy we had the most and we always had a drink in hand. We are already planning our trip for 2024!! The rooms are very clean and bed’s are very comfortable! Plenty of food choices with the included restaurants in the golden zone, you also have the sister resort to take advantage of with more restaurant choices as well. The all inclusive is definitely the way to go.

Great location. Good food and drinks. Biggest complaint was staff wanting to arrange time share presentation upon arrival. Avoid free breakfast/excursion offers. Just pay for them yourself and don’t waste a half of day on presentations. Be consistent with your No’s!

The number one quality of this hotel is its central location on the marina. I was able to book at a pretty good price and it is right next to the mall, multiple souvenir shops, near the beach, near a Walmart and near the clubs. I made sure I booked a renovated room. It was very pretty and the pool view off the balcony is nice. The bed was very comfortable for us. With this being a beach town however, there always seemed to be sand on the floor. Always a gritty feel. Also, the way the shower is made, water would always escape when the shower was used and get water all over the floor. Service was mostly good. All of the staff was very kind. There were a couple of things that were missed however. Like there were 3 instances where we requested extra towels and we only got them once. I also requested airport transport through the hotel but was never able to get through to reservations to get my voucher and ended up having to book something myself before I left the states. Luckily, this was easily resolved when I arrived at the hotel and the charge was taken off. I had no problems with getting transport back to the airport. I was nervous upon reading other reviews about the aggressive timeshare salesman. Luckily, my check in experience was easy going as I was NOT held hostage like some other unfortunate guests. I was offered a tour of the sister property but simply declined and said I already booked all of my activities and was able to go about my day. I did not choose the all inclusive option. My experience with non all inclusive seemed a little nickle and dimey. Of course you will get charged for any food or alcohol without this.option, but you are also charged $5 extra for every day you request to have your room cleaned and they charge for bottled water in the fridge. I grabbed 2 gallons from Walmart and just drank that.

Getting a private driver through hotel wasn't smooth, no one with our name on a sign and no obvious hotel representative met us and the hustle was very confusing. Booking with Arnold through hotel wasn't smooth either. Front desk said that we didn't request 2beds, so 1 of us slept on floor because couch bed wasn't level. They did switch us the next day. Second room was much better. Great location, pretty clean, decent staff, drinks pricey, didn't eat here, pool and hot tubs good, good value for area. I'd stay again if requested room I booked was delivered and rude front desk didn't make me out to be a liar at checkin.

Staff is so unbelievably rude and disrespectful. Constantly trying to kick guests out of breakfast. We were sitting drinking our coffee that we paid for while listening to the two women at the breakfast buffet talk about us in Spanish. Front desk was not friendly and tried to sell us on timeshares before we could go up to our room. There was throw up in the pool half of the day yesterday and it still hasn’t been cleaned up this morning even after we told front desk twice. Awful experience do not support this Edit: all I know is that the pool was still gross the morning after I let the staff know someone threw up before we got there. It was definitely still there in the morning. Also want to add that the maids and doormen were very sweet and kind, but that was basically the only nice staff we encountered while staying there. It felt like we were criminals in a jail how many times staff tried to take away our plates while we were eating, and how many times they verified while we drank our coffee that we were actually staying there. Racial profiling? I’m not sure but I would not recommend this place at all

Such a great location on the Cabo strip! Great service. Great pools. We can't wait to come back! I love the vibrant rooms, the swim up bar in the pools, the large rooms and the large bathrooms. And the views are just stunning.

Timeshare people grind constantly, charged for airport transportation we never took and won't reverse the charge. Location would be nice if people trying to sell you stuff didn't bother you every 5 steps. Service from Jennifer in the restaurant was above average and she was the best part of our trip. We will NOT return!

Very nice resort with a great location. Our rooms were very nice and clean and had a great view of the Marina. We also had the all inclusive package and it was a very good value. The pool area at the hotel is very nice and the service was excellent. Very close to Medano beach and downtown Cabo. I highly recommend.

Great location by the harbour, which was useful for us as my husband has problems with mobility. I was able to borrow a wheelchair from the hotel so that helped a lot. There are a lot of steps down to the harbour from the hotel, but a road way at the front which can also access the harbour. The hotel is older, but the rooms are quite large, although could have been a bit cleaner ( top of microwave and back of bathroom door were not very clean). We had a nice view of the harbour from our balcony. The biggest problem is the constant hard sell for timeshares in the hotel, and the street vendors pouncing on you as soon as you set foot out of the hotel! I went to relax, not constantly have to fight my way through all this. A bit of a scramble for the sunbeds around the pool, as lots of people throw their towels on a bed at 7am and then don't turn up until late morning/afternoon, despite notices at the pool that this was not allowed. It was not enforced. We went all inclusive, and had a nice selection of restaurants down at the harbour which we could choose from. No dinner restaurant in the hotel. The breakfast buffet at the hotel outside by the pool would have been a lot better if it had been inside, to avoid the birds eating off the serving spoons and the constant flies. The staff on the whole were very nice, helpful and friendly.

The most exclusive “all inclusive”. Dirty hotel rooms. There were boogers and snot on the wall in the bathroom when i arrived and had my room cleaned multiple times and the boogers still stayed there. At checkout they had the audacity to charge me a cleaning fee?? Pool dirty, bugs all over the pool. Staff is not nice or accommodating at all. The food is not edible and Is kept outside In the hot humid climate for hours. The restaurants you have to book every night for dinner have the worst food and some of the menu options aren’t included in the all inclusive package. Room service is also not included. If you want to sit by the pool be prepared to inhale boat fuel all day. Vendors outside this hotel (I would not call it a resort) are extremely rude and pushy and will chase you down the street harassing you to buy drugs. I don’t recommend this place or the marina location.

  • 4/5 Candy M. 6 months ago on Google
Very nice hotel rooms. They just need to update the wall outlets. We had to move some furniture around to get to the outlets to plug in our devices. Luckily I try to make a habit of brining my drop cord with me when I travel. We did not do the all inclusive option so we didn't get the breakfast. Location was great. Within the marina and lots of restaurants and shops around.

Nice room with the exception of our neighbors who opened the doors and windows and left the a/c on so the condensation ran into our room. Not good for 4 AM find almost slipped and fell. The all inclusive was nice with a variety of restaurants. We liked Jacks. The breakfast buffet was ok. Like the omelette bar. The staff was courteous and helpful.

Stayed 7 nights with our two kids. All staff were fantastic. Food prices were crazy expensive but luckily we had a kitchen and cooked our own. Excellent access to the marina. We loved have the mall next to us with a huge food store inside. This made it super efficient for us. The beach was 5 minutes away walking and the water was so beautiful and clear. The only downside was the pool was very dirty with "mystery floaties" in it that looked like bits of toilet paper. Overall though, we had a great time!!

Just got back from vacation and I have mostly great things to say about this resort. The location is amazing five minutes to the beach couple minutes from the marina right next to the mall and minutes from downtown. Very Clean and Great Staff. Some people had mentioned that they thought the rooms were dated but to me as long as they are very clean and nice and I had what I needed, That’s all that mattered as I was there, not to stay in the room but to enjoy everything around. The only thing I did not like is after a long plane ride and finally getting to the hotel all I wanted to do was relax and start my vacation. Unfortunately, after we checked in, we were harassed by some people wanting us to buy a time share and after several minutes we had to be rude and say we were not interested… then we were told they are paid on commission.

The rooms are clean and the location is nice. That's it. There are a lot nicer hotels with better service it the area, for around the same cost. Stay there. Booked this hotel for a friend and I, since my normal hotel was sold out, and booked a room with a marina view. Got to the hotel to be told we were "upgraded" to a ground floor room at the back of the pool. The only view being half naked middle agers and forget privacy, or quiet. They make you wear this realy annoying bracelet which acts as your room key. No we did not get the all inclusive package. Woke up the first morning to no carafe for the coffee pot, went out to the breakfast bar to get a cup of coffee and was told no. Went to the front desk to get a carafe and was told I had to pay for it. Yep can't even make coffee without an extra charge. Headed back to the room to get dressed so I can go to the marina a buy a flipping cup of coffee just to find out my key did not work. I really hate this hotel.

We stayed at Marina Fiesta for 3 weeks and absolutely loved it. We had an incredible view of the pool and the marina. We did not take the all inclusive. We had a full kitchen and there are 100’s of very good restaurants right outside the resort. Great supermarket and shopping mall 5 minute walk away. Very kid friendly with a nice kids zone with a playground. Pool is reallnice with nice comfortable loungers. We highy recommend it.

Great location and service. Rooms leave a lot to be desired. The shower leaked water onto the bathroom floor, and the trim around the doors was falling off, and so were some of the doors. The bedding was decent but not able to handle the chill from the AC. Nice secure location.

  • 2/5 Bruno P. 1 year ago on Google
Room service was fair ,had too keep calling the front desk for soap, paper etc. They would clean every 3 days because they were not organized. The resort was only 40percent full. The food was way below expectations and unsanitary, sparrows would raid the morning breakfast buffet and the employees could care less. The restaurants had a limited menu for a all inclusive resort, the food was fair at best. Most of the staff was not friendly and could care less. The only good things were the location, close to Downtown and the rooms were large. Bottom line avoid at all cost.

My husband and I stayed for 4 days. Our first room wasn’t what we had requested and the staff was very accommodating and helped us switch. The staff is very attentive and I recommend the spa services. Emma did a great job at the spa and Alfredo was helpful in the lobby. The concierge services are outstanding. Thank you! We will be back.

Convenient location but service is a disappointment. Checked in yesterday, the guy checking is in was rude. We booked the rooms only but was looking to possibly upgrade to all inclusive. Instead of telling about the price as we asked for he went on to tell us we didn’t count our niece in the reservation for the room and that’s a problem like our she cannot stay in one of our 2 queen bed suite (we booked 2). Well…. Not sure why it would matter if we only did the room but sure why don’t you just tell us how much the all inclusive and we can just pay for whatever surcharge for the extra person all together. He asked for our card, even thought we kept asking tell us about the upgrade, charged our card for the extra person then 15 mins later….. finally went over the all inclusive. Basically focus on what we cannot do in all inclusive instead of the benefits. There were 7 of us looking to upgrade and it was such a turned off we decided not to do it. Very poor front desk service, leave a bad vibe on the start of our vacation. It didn’t get much better by the pool, basically telling us we couldn’t drink and close container of food by the pool. So if we buy drinks at the pool we can’t drink it? The guy tried to take about all our drinks… Never coming back

Had a great time. My better half Lisa had never been to Cabo. I could not wait to show her. It was beautiful. Everyone was nice and healthful. Last year in October I was in room 411 this year 341, I don’t know but I believe my maid was the same person both times. She was the best so friendly and always smiling. I wanted to say thank you to her again what a great job! Lisa Mayers Henry Scott

Loved this place nice small secure resort right on the marina. Loved the location loved the staff especially the security that was stationed at both the front and back entrance controlling the gates. Not to the point of annoyance but they were there to greet you and open the gates all were friendly and helpful. The veiws from this hotel are the best. The pool is nice and big enough to not feel crowded. Loved the whole bracelet room keycard no need to keep track of a keycard lol. The rooms are alil dated but clean and spacious with a kitchenette. The only thing i didn't like was right after check in a lady tried to get us to do a 90min presentation at a sister resort and offered a discounted excursion. I told her i didn't want to sit threw a 90min presentation while on vacation but i wanted to book the excursion. She told me the price but still kept trying to push the presentation. I finally told her not to bother I'd book else where and got up and left, then the next day someone else tried again to get me to agree to it smh. People come there to vacation its bad enough the vendors on the marina constantly harass you no one wants to deal with that where they stay. AND NEWS FLASH I LOVE YALL BUT....if i had the money to buy into a time share i wouldn't have stayed there just saying.

Not very impressed. First they pressure us to have a breakfast to hear about the new hotel they are building, wanted $20 to hold our spot, but would give it back if we showed up. So busy with the previous that we got no info on the part we were staying at. No pool, etc. info, no grounds info, no towel cards, etc. Then gave us wrong room, not marina view but pool view. When we complained, "we are fully booked". Only hotel I've seen where they charge you for the coffee packs in the room! We were very disappointed.

The Marina Fiesta is a wonderful place to stay if you are looking for a quiet resort. Perfect for the couples or families that would like peaceful evenings, classy music and breakfast and lunch options. The staff is absolutely wonderful and the couples spa was a wonderful experience.

Super location, basic facility and rooms (a bit dated) and thankfully not an aggressive timeshare sales environment. Service was exceptional at the Concierge and curbside bellman (Samuel and Carlos) but the front desk (specifically Marvi) was witnessed being hostile with guests on numerous occasions. And when we checked out, we got the same aggressive, unappreciated behavior from Marvi. Perhaps she should be relocated to a non-client facing role in the facility. Also, the poolside attendant was noticeably rude as well. Prices: $$$

It was awesome. The staff was great. Make sure to get the all inclusive options. It covers several great restaurants. You must try the Baja Lobster Restaurant.....amazing. Go fishing on El Budster, catch a Dorado and have them prepare it for you; you will be impressed!
