We love staying here. Came here for a wedding in august of 2022 and then again in January of 2023! We watched whales, went scuba diving with them as well! This resort is great for us because we live the privacy of our own beach and beach front room and downtown is only 10-15 minutes which we love because we can visit at our luxury! Every time we visit cabo we always stay here. They have great restaurants and the service is wonderful!

We have owned a 3 bedroom (penthouse) ocean view at Hacienda Del Mar for close to 25 years. For the past 4 years we had been unable to travel anywhere due to COVID and family emergencies. I booked our 1 week back in May letting them know this was for our 35th anniversary. I was sent an email asking me to “pre-register” to speed up the check-in process, which I did a week before. Upon our arrival, we were told our room wasn’t ready and to come back in an hour - 5:00 pm. Check in is at 4:00 pm. Coming back to check in, we were asked to provide all of the same information that I did for the pre-register. I was told that it didn’t matter whether I pre-registered or not because it was “basically” irrelevant. Next we were told that they had our “garden” view room available. The gal said our contract stated it was for a garden view. I told her she was mistaken. Then she proceeded to tell me this is all they could offer me; but it was a BEAUTIFUL room with a view and we would thoroughly enjoy it. It was located in front of the children’s pool/play area - the furthest building away for everything. Don’t misunderstand, we love kids, but this is not what we had envisioned to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary. We were tired after a long day of travel and were escorted to our room with our beautiful view. Judge for yourself in the photos. My husband went down to registration and asked them nicely to find another room for us. She said she would call my husband when it was ready. We waited until 8:00 pm. No phone call. So we phoned the registration desk. No one would answer. Next day, we decided to make the best out of the situation and just be grateful we were able to get away. We could hardly wait to escape to the beach under an umbrella away from everyone. WAIT! WAHT? Only a very small section of the beach would they allow you

Rooms are typical hotel amenities, and we had an ocean-view with a balcony with seats to lay out on. The hotels are roomy with the best shower pressure you could have. That made all the difference in the stay. There are no near-by activities. You need a car to get around to the main part of Cabo. There is plenty to do at the resort though. The pools are plenty and when we were there it was quiet, so not much going on so got to just relax. The beach is spectacular, but no swimming. You can touch the water, but just watch yourself. Make sure to rise early for thr sunrise. It'll be worth it. The on-sight restaurants were amazing. A bit pricey, but you pay for the conveniences. They knew how to make drinks and cook a mean omelet. The breakfast buffet was all amazing food. Nothing like a typical hotel buffet. The a la carte was basic foods. You were always filled up.

Beautiful resort but a bit isolated from everything. Be prepared that they make negotiations with owners really difficult and timeconsuming. Cheers to the staff of the swim up bar!

Beautiful and unique resort, full of lush gardens and landscaping, well-maintained facilities, and very friendly and attentive staff. The property is huge so even though it's right on the beach, your room may or may not be close to it. The food and drinks are really good, but expensive (definitely expect resort prices). The beach is beautiful but the waves were strong the whole week we were there so probably not safe for most to swim there (we hardly saw anyone swimming on the beach). However there are several pools and they're all amazing. The only downside is that not all the rooms are renovated. Ours was clean and comfortable but the furniture was outdated.

Now this resort experience was perfect. I loved everything about it. It was really well kept and the rooms were really nice. The room service was also amazing. And the food was next level but a little bit pricey but it’s a resort so that’s to be expected. The sunsets where super pretty and the beach was awesome. Los Cabos airport is one of the nicest Mexican airports as well so that’s nice to get to fly in there. Now I loved my stay and I’m sure you will too and I would highly recommend.

Beautiful resort ! It’s a treat just walking around the place. Staff is very friendly friendly, very helpful. They have accommodations that fit every need and want. Really easy to book activities off resort. Cool golf course about 5 miles up the road. They have two on site, very good but very pricy. We just want to use the practice range but on site does not allow that, full green fee now matter what. Thus went up the road to a course that does … 20 bucks to have unlimited use of practice range. Would go back in a minute !

Nice view of the beach but the rooms they v showed us are a little congested. Kitchen was not resort quality. Rooms are more like a 3 star hotel with a great view.

We arrived for what we thought would be a fun week. It was our birthdays and anniversary. Apparently, a bait and switch, we reserved a water view room and arrived to be told they were all booked. We were given keys to a room with rat 🐀 traps outside of the front door to only find looking out of a side window more rat traps. Needless to say, I wanted to be kind bc my husband spent an inordinate amout of time planning to make the week special. My diva got the best of me! The hotel was relentless in their position insistentling they had no rooms. We then called AmEx and we were able to get moved to another room w/o the rat traps outside of the door. Proceed w ⚠️ caution

Beautiful place. Well maintained and clean. Met my family here for 50th birthday early September. Restaurants were all great. Pools are well kept and relaxing with beautiful scenery. Don't go here for the beaches, the waves are too dangerous here. There's a great public beach by the marina. Everyone in my group wants to go back!

We had a great time, but we're very laid back, patient and tolerant people, so keep that in mind. First off, the employees are top notch, the grounds are gorgeous and well taken care of, and the views are amazing. I'd give the food a 6/10. Breakfast at Tomato's was great, dinner at De Cortez was spectacular, but lunch at Las Sirenas was just ok. We also had dinner at Pitahayas which was good. Not amazing but not bad. Rooms I'd give a 5/10. They are cozy and clean, but not very sound resistant, especially the front doors, and the TVs are way out of date. The pools and beach were great, a 7/10 at least, but busy and hard to find seats. It's the guests that are rude, not the employees. People put their stuff down to "claim" their seats and then may or may not even use the seats. I took it up on myself to clear towels myself, but if you ask an employee, they will assist in finding you a seat and removing a jerks towel and belongings that have been there for hours. Lastly, we thought that there were plenty of amenities during our 5 days here, but we like to experience things, so you can't be lazy if you want to have fun experiences.

Everything has been great. They replaced the activities staff and I would say they need improvement. We were here 4 months prior and Enrico and staff were a blast. Not sure why they replaced the activities staff.

Don't forget to use HoteITully.ᴄᴏm when booking a hotel. This website will compare thousands of booking websites and usually will have rooms a lot cheaper compared to others! You're welcome :)! This place is one of the most well known in the area. I have been coming here for a long time. If you stay for a few days you definitely won't regret it. Our home away from home! Love the laid back vibe. Great location, very unique setting. Staff is awesome, will bend over backwards forvyou!

From the number of 4 and 5 star reviews I see here, it appears many are having a different experience than we are. We booked 11 days @ $4000 total (about $364/day). So far, we've encountered testy desk personnel, astronomically inflated drink and food prices, and the singular joy of being chased off of various chaise lounges which we were told are only available as rentals. We've got nine days to go, and I am already marking this down as one of the worst vacations we've ever taken - and we travel extensively. Since the location is scenic, with spectacular views, and some of the staff are friendly, I am giving this two stars. I would not recommend. Addendum: After looking at other 1 and 2 star reviews, I see that they routinely respond with apologetic boilerplate and express the hope that you'll give them another chance. What they don't do is offer to make the situation right. Lip service means nothing, and experienced travelers are insulted by it.

This was our first time staying at this property. We used exchange points to book 2 rooms. The property is beautiful and well maintained. The restaurant and bell staff were excellent. My family member had an issue with the air conditioning in her room. They showed her a room that was available then told her later the room wasn’t available. It was an all day hassle and I felt it should of been handled quickly considering the resort wasn’t full. Overall is was a very nice stay snd we would book again. Lots of good food options

Google insists this is called Sheraton, but no Sheraton logos exist. I'm not sure if it changed hands recently. This is a resort place with a mix of hotel rooms and time share bookable properties. It has a lot of pools and a great Eastern facing views, with the pool having infinity ocean views. The staff is attentive and helpful. The restaurants and food isn't great for the price but they have activities that change every day. I think it is a good place for a family with kids who will find lots to do. The regrettable thing here is that you can't swim the ocean. So the beach is only for the tantalizing views.

They should add couch and few more chairs in room. Room service is slow. Coffee in room is very limited. No microwave in room.

The linens and location of our room was excellent for an older hotel such as this one. I have to say unfortunately the bathrooms were lacking cleaning. Mold in the showers. Not good. Service in the restsurants and location,of hotel excellent

We loved it here! The rooms kitchen was a bit outdated, the wi-fi wasn't secure but everything else was fantastic. Beautiful resort, well maintained grounds, many restaurants, pools, something for everyone. The service was spectacular! Special mention to server Issac Aguilar!

This is the ultimate vacation resort. They have 3 very good restaurants and a couple of snack bars, that all have outstanding food. The employees are very friendly and will do whatever it takes to make you happy.

Great staff, very friendly. Food was also fantastic! It is the type of resort that you can find tons to do if you want to be very active, or find peace and quiet if you need rest. During our stay, the Pacific Ocean waves were too strong for swimming at the beach. Dolphines pool has a swim up bar, and at times they brought surpise goodies for the pool attendees.

Lovely resort on the Sea of Cortez. We went snorkeling & swimming, the beach is beautiful. Every restaurant we went to had excellent food, and the service was excellent. The room we stayed in definitely needs to be updated, but it was clean and cared for. The property is beautiful, the gardens well loved. Look forward to returning.

Took the tour and enjoyed breakfast. Beautiful grounds to relax in. Friends who have a membership said that swimming isn't safe off the beach. Also, everything is highly priced compared to restaurants in town. *After the tour and receiving our gifts, it took over 30 minutes for a taxi to pick us up when they said they had already ordered it at the start of the exit interview.
