This is the meeting spot for “the hike” to the top of Mt Solmar. This is an amazing hike guided by Enrique that happen Sunday through Friday morning at 8:00-8:15 am. You can not do the hike unless you do it at this time. DO NOT show up late. They will be gone and the gate is locked. You meet outside the dog training facility. People will be dropping off their dogs for doggy daycare. Other people will most likely be there. When I went about 40 others joined that day too. The hike itself is short but challenging for some. It gets steep and you have to do some bouldering type climbing. I found it easy and fun but it depends what your comfortable with. The doggy daycare dogs join and the hike and are a great addition in my opinion. If you don’t like furry friend sit this out. There had to be over 20 dogs join the hike. When you get to the top the views are the best in Cabo. I’ve done a few hikes and no other hike compares to these views. It’s why you do the hike. This is free but tips are encouraged. For the experience I happy left a tip. The stories people and experience is great! I was finished by 9:30-9:45ish and had plenty of time to take in the view.

Beautiful views, totally worth it!! But NOT a hike! This route was a little bit treacherous and required a lot of scrambling/climbing up rocks. It’s very doable but if you are not in good physical shape or afraid of heights at all don’t go! The kind of trail/fitness level was not mentioned before leaving and a few of the people on the trail seemed to struggle getting to the top and getting back down. Overall was a fantastic experience and would recommend it for anyone who is adventurous and doesn’t mind climbing up a mountain for some spectacular views!

Meet at the dog compound for 8AM. Loved the idea of hiking with dogs. But be prepared for a scramble with with some energetic dogs. It was an experience. Not for the faint of heart. I'm not sure what was going on in the dog energy the day we went but there were some very bad attitude dogs. There was probably a total of 4 dogs fights which resulted in one dog getting a pretty big gash to their side. There were some children (and adults) who were moderately traumatized by said dog fights. I loved the hike, I love dogs, not the fights. Although the guide seemed concerned about the injured dog my one concern would be if you don't have control over your dogs maybe don't mix 40+ random tourists with 20+ uncontrollable dogs and scramble up a mountain. I really hope that the pupper is okay and this was a one off.

This is where you show up to hike with Enrique (and the dogs) up Mt. Solmar to see Land's End. Enrique is a great energetic guide. Bring proper footwear with some traction, the hike is not meant for flip flops.

This hike is on a private land, the door closes at 8:15am, so be there on time or you wont be able to go. The guide is an amazing local man full of interesting stories, and he also brings a lot of his dogs on the hike with the group, which was amazing! The hike itself is a little hard, have prepared a bag with suncream, water and a camera, because once you’re up there, you are gonna have a spectacular view of the Cabo bay, marina, and you might see some whales playing in the ocean. The peace and quietness up on the rocks is amazing, the energy has to be felt in person.

There is a 20min talk about the hike before the hike in Spanish and English, then another one at the half way point. I'd suggest showing up around 8:15am on the nose if you don't speak Spanish to skip that part. There were about 10 dogs and 60-100 people that did the hike with us. It's a slow hike up but once you're at the top it's some pretty great views! The first half is very easy and the 2nd half is a little tricky and straight up (wear proper shoes, hiking sandals. no flip flops). Personally I would have preferred they charge an entrance fee at the gate and we could do the hike on our own at our own speed.

Great hike and probably the best views in Cabo. Not at all “dangerous”, but perhaps a little challenging as the paths wind through some rocks and boulders - there’s NO rock climbing, like others suggested. Definitely wear decent shoes (no flip-flops!) If you’re in half decent shape, you’ll be fine. We had about 60 people on our hike, and everyone (even the one person who wore flip-flops) managed.

What an amazing and unique experience in Cabo. The views from the top are absolutely incredible and we would recommend this to anyone looking for something different to do outside of beach lounging and that doesn't require you to set aside money and time for a full tour. A couple of things to note based on our experience: 1. We found this through social media and at the time, Enrique was offering 2 times for the hike, morning and night (8:15 and 4:15); however, he is only doing mornings now and as others have said, you have to get there early. We arrived around 7:55 and there were already like 15 people waiting outside of the gate. He will close and lock the gate by 8:15, so don't be late! 2. My husband and I are not in the best shape and we were able to complete the hike without a ton of stress. Enrique stops twice before getting to the rock climbing part of the hike to talk about the history of the area, so you do have time to rest and prepare yourself. Don't get me wrong, the last part of the hike is pretty much rock climbing using your hands, so just be prepared as to what you're getting yourself into. It's pretty much a straight shoot up, making it steep, so take the time that you need getting up there. Plenty of people were stopping for breaks and because there were so many of us going up in one line, we were able to take our time. 3. I will be the first one to tell you that I am absolutely terrified of heights and I was completely fine. The boulders at the top are big and secure, there is a lot of space for people to spread out and take in different views. You don't have to go to the edge of the rocks if you don't want to, so just do what you're comfortable with. 4. Even if you're not a dog person, you'll be fine. The dogs are more preoccupied with playing and chasing each other than bothering you. Tips: wear comfortable shoes, a lot of sunscreen and bring water, preferably in a backpack so your hands are free to use.

We were very much looking forward to this hike as there are so many great reviews! I would like to advise that this is not an easy hike. We were fit enough to be able to do it but you have to use your hands to climb up and it is Very steep in many parts. The guide makes no mention of the difficulty level and there were quite a few people that were unable to follow. The terrain is rocky and slippery. Good shoes are a must! And yes, the views are phenomenal!

Excellent way to truly “see” Cabo. Bring money for a tip and a pair of good shoes!

Beautiful views. This hike is pretty challenging. More of a climb. There were people in our group at all levels and ages but we all made it up and down. Three of us in my group chacos but closed toed hiking shoes would have been more appropriate. You’ll need your hands to be free so bring a small bag. You should also bring water. This hike was a highlight of the week. Enrique is awesome. I’d love to do it again.

GET THERE BEFORE 8AM This is a guided hike, and it starts at 8am. You can't enter there by yourself since it's located at a private property. The guide will tell you some stories here and there, then he will lead you to the top, where you will enjoy an 360° view of Cabo San Lucas. The hike is around 2k (1.2 miles). There is no parking spot available at the area, but there is a public one before getting to the premise. It's a nice activity to star your morning, and don't forget to tip the guide.

Don’t miss this hike when visiting Los Cabos! The last part of it you’re climbing rock and coming down was tricky but manageable if you’re used to hiking. It’s closed to the public, so you need to go up as a group with Enrique. He’s a dog trainer who leads this hike 6 days a week (everyday except Saturday). As of Feb 2023 the hike starts at 8:15 AM. We got there at 7:55 and joined the line by the fence. He starts the hike with a little history then we hike up to a hill where he goes on a rant about energies of the earth and breathing. If you can sit through his propaganda, the views at the top of Mt. Solmar are incredible! Heads up, about 10 dogs hiked with our group as well. The hike is free, but we gave a tip at the end.

This hike was not a joke. Steep climb up, slippery sand slide down. Dogs are friendly, guide was very informative, views are priceless. Super thankful for everyone that helped me out during this trek, the climb up and the cuts on the way down. Gates close at 0815. Bring a backpack or nothing at all, you need both hands. Water and sugar - i got light headed at the climb up (but I didn't eat breakfast so). Tip box at the end! Don't be late. Don't bring your own dog. Don't bring your kids. I hope this becomes a UNESCO site one day!

One of the best hikes I've ever done. Enrique is a skilled and knowledgeable leader who shares the history and culture is the area while guiding you to spectacular views. Words can't describe the beauty of this peninsula and my pictures don't do it justice.

This was an amazing experience! Enrique is an absolute gem. He gives a history of the area and talks about spirituality and mindfulness on the hike which was so fitting and refreshing. The dogs were so cute and so friendly. There was a large group of people, though. Don't expect to be up close and personal with the pups the entire time. Despite my photos, many folks did not get a lot of pup time. Now, the hike is hard. Anyone that says that it's moderate or easy is just flexing. I walk 6-10 miles per day as a dog walker so I thought I'd be fine but that was not the case. I made it, but I was very sore the next couple of days. Save this for the end of your trip and be sure to bring plenty of water. That being said, this is a must-do! The whole experience is incredible, and the endorphins after were amazing. Bring cash to tip Enrique. This is private property, a private business, and thus a privilege to take part in.

Hiked on 5/5/23. Had a little trouble locating it, but once the dogs started barking we found it. Arrived at 8:15 with about 35-40 other hikers. The "dog whisperer" delivered an animated (long) speech until about 8:40. Perfect weather for a hike and having an assorted variety of dog breeds made it even better. Some hikers really struggled with the elevation, and lots of folks weren't wearing proper shoes. I'd recommend hiking shoes/boots with good traction. Fantastic views of the marina and ocean. I helped carry another hiker down the last section of the trail after she twisted her ankle.

It's a gorgeous view from the top. You end up even higher than ultralights tend to go - I honestly don't think you can get a better perspective of Cabo San Lucas. However it's not a casual hike - be prepared for it to be mostly uphill, a bit rocky, and require some scrambling.
