Love a breakfast roll here after a night shift really satisfying and a good price, nice view aswell

A friend told us of the good burgers here so we went along. What a great recommendation. Large choice of meat based sandwiches and buns. Vegetarian options too. Order and wait. Loads of sauce options. Didn't know there were so many. Food is prepared in front of you. Benches outside with a view. Also "sitootaries" are newly provided to offer shelter (see photo). Excellent value food and great experience. Recommended.

Food is unreal and really enjoyable We went with the mixed grill sub and as you can see from the photo is simply outstanding they do a variety of sauces so don't be afraid to get one or two sauces on your sub They also do slushy for the kids if it's a warm day my kids took that option straight away For the money you really can't go wrong it absolutely knocks spots off McDonald's

Stopped by on a lunch break had the steak roll with mushrooms and onions. Splash of garlic mayo . Was fabulous. Loved it. Lady at the till was happy in her work and very efficiently serving a long que which went down quick. Quality and quantity of food was outstanding.

This place is amazing, and I can understand why it's always busy. Food is delicious, staff are friendly and parking is ample. The views from there are a welcome bonus. It does get busy, so be patient because it's totally worth the wait. The Monster Burger is to die for, it's also huge!!

Lovely location and nice clean premises but very busy. It was our first time there and the food was delicious but there was quite a long queue. We probably won't call again on a sunny afternoon but wait for a cloudier one, when hopefully it won't be as busy.

By far the best breakfast roll around. I have been going here for 20+ years when it all started as a shack on the mountain. Without exception I always go for their famous breakfast roll and it never fails to satisfy the hunger. Staff work tirelessly and it does get busy but 100% it's worth the wait. They offer far more than breakfast rolls most notably the mountain monster burger beware this burger is as described....a monster

What an amazing place!! Take away snack bar in the middle of nowhere with a big car park and a huge amount of customers!!! I think this alone speaks volumes. The food was amazing and cooked fresh to order, the staff were knowledgeable, extremely efficient and polite. Despite being extremely busy each one looked very clean and tidy in their uniform. Each item of food although takeaway was wrapped in recyclable packaging. To the side was also an unexpected but equally as amazing ice-cream counter selling about 23 different flavours of ice-cream. There were also wooden picnic benches and small covered cabins outside to eat at if required. The views were good too. With no hesitation I would go back again.

It was very busy but the staff kept the queue moving and were incredibly pleasant. Food was nice and good value for money.

I didn't have food there but I had a coffee and sat on the benches around the back of the building. They're slightly under cover and have a lovely view. Staff were very kind and accommodating. There's also free toilets around the back if anyone needs them. It's surrounded by a few beautiful walks.

Literally the best place in Caerphilly. Staff are always great. Plenty of benches to sit & eat if the weather is up to it, plenty of parking if the weather is questionable, it’s always more fun to sit in the car & tackle the burgers anyway. Toilets are always clean. The food is the best; piping hot every time & so delicious. The hash browns are top notch. Don’t know why they are so good but they are an essential on every visit. The minted lamb sub roll is probably my favourite but also shout outs for the mixed grill sub roll, the double bacon cheeseburger & the mountain monster is of course legendary

Double cheeseburger was fine, but generic. Fries were ok. Hubby has their Sow burger which he said was better than mine. Service didn't really come with a smile, but that may have been due to a sweltering day and they must be hot in the kitchen.

It's a really good place for sandwiches. Honestly, it's one of the best sandwiches I've had in a while. The lamb wasn't too tough, and the mint helped with flavour.

I was a bit disappointed to be honest. I had hoped to get a good veggie breakfast, but they only have glorified sandwiches - everything in bread rolls. Their only redeeming feature is that they have wraps, but a few beans one egg and some mushrooms was no substitute. Also, there's no inside seating at all, which is puzzling to say the least, especially considering that this is on a Welsh mountain top and as usual was also cold, wet and windy. Why they need such a huge kitchen and counter area when not doing proper meals I really don't know.

Fantastic view, good customer service take note 20 flavors of ice cream, burgers is nice,plenty of tables, clean area.

Food is wholesome and reasonably priced. Service is slow and orders are not processed in sequence - leaving people waiting for extended periods while watching others, who ordered later, receive their food first. This is a takeaway outlet hence no stars for atmosphere.

Been coming to Caerphilly mountain snack bar for years, never a complaint. Everything is served fresh, decent quality food, great portions. Can sometimes be a bit of a wait because of how busy it gets but can't complain when everything is fresh. Would highly recommend.

Fab treat at the end of a long walk! Cheeseburger was super tasty. Cooked nicely with the cooked onions you can’t seem to get the same at home as! Great value. Fab view. What more do you need for quick pit stop.

Went to get food as we had heard good things from family and saw the reviews. When we went it wasn't particularly busy and ended up waiting 35 minutes for food. We were the only ones waiting outside so we asked the staff inside about it, and they gave us a rude response. The only reason it is not a 1 star because the price of the food is reasonable and there is ample parking available.

You haven't experienced Caerphilly until you have tried this place; its not only sooooo good but we've been visiting for years and it's never let us down. The staff are super friendly, food is not only great but the price isn't too high. Lots of choice too from kids meals to very large monster mountain burgers. It's also smack bang in the middle of a lot of trails going up and down the mountain so it's the place to go for a day out walking with the family and dogs. Outside seating, disability friendly, lots of parking and definitely not hard to find. You also can't be put off by any queues as they work through it quickly and it's right so busy as you won't be disappointed

This is a great good food cafe cooked to order amazing burgers and baguettes. We had the minted lamb baguettes with soft drinks. Lamb was tasty, juicy and tender cooked to perfection. Great for kids too with their varied kids meal deals. Staff were bright cheery amazingly friendly and welcoming. We’re definitely going back, I highly recommend this great quality snack bar.
