This is one of the best parks in Cairns. It is fantastic for children to enjoy and having access to Freshwater Creek makes it such a beautiful spot.

Goomboora Park is fantastic. Has a creek circling around the outer edge with plenty of shade picnic spots, a vast natural playground, and plenty of space to play a game of cricket or football or just throw the ball for the dogs. This park is big and is always a great place to spend some time with the kids or furkids alike.

This is amazing! Freshwater Creek runs through the park and you can play with your beloved companion in the cool waters of the creek. All the parents of puppies are friendly and happy to chat. So much fun!!🐾💝

Wonderful place for families and dog lovers. Loads of shaded areas, bbqs, tables, playground for the kids, running creek for swimming dogs, off and on leashed areas. Beautiful memorial tree we saw.

Goomboora Park is dogs paradise. Humans also enjoy the Freshwater creek. there is a beautiful cycle track along the creek to Redlynch Valley 6.5km, you can stop and enjoy the creek and different spots. Bring your hat and take your rubbish home. Bathrooms and drinkable water was available on Dec 2022. Help us protect and care for nature on this paradise.

I think Cairns has the BEST places for off leash areas for your pets! This was only one of the areas!

Note: have to be mindful that some dogs roam free, meaning if you bring a picnic on the grass, be prepared to get a few troublesome visitors. Great park for families and fur-babies. 3 big fields alongside a running creek that you can swim in. Nice playground for the kids on the far left of the Park.

Honestly deserves some kind of award for the world's best park! Beautiful fresh swimming area for the dogs (and people). Big open grass areas and nice bush walk beside the creek. Also the most adorable tribute tree for passed doggos.

What a great park for families and dogs. The park is huge. I don’t think I have even seen half of it. Take a tyre tube and float down the river!

Wonderful place. Everyone out enjoying themselves. Grassy areas, play equipment, cycle and walking tracks and the creek. There is something for everyone to enjoy.

Great park with good facilities. Wheel chair accessible. Toilets and drinking water. No dogs allowed in the playground but dogs allowed off leash in other areas of the park, including water. Lovely creek for swimming.

Great place for fur babies to get out and run around, get in the water, and meet other doggies. Trying to train our Frenchie to be more sociable with other dogs, and this is the perfect place :)

Good for a stroll, bike ride, great area to relax or run your dog, great playgrounds and water areas. The streams are beautiful and clear with mild currents ATM. Could spend hours here. You may need insect repellent depends on weather

A very big park combined huge grassy ground, bike path and water. There is also a good child playground. Perfect place to have a day chill out with kids.

What a gem especially if you're staying next door at Tasman Cool Waters Caravan Park. Our dogs loved the freedom and the creek (no crocs).

So beautiful and only a stone's throw away from Cairns!! The perfect spot to take the dog for a walk or swim and explore some rainforest. Great tracks to wander along and crystal clear water to walk through :) LOVE THIS PLACE!

Highly recommend bringing your dog here. Many different spots for your dog to swim. Shallow and deep. Water is crystal clear. Beautiful spot to swim aswell. Nice and cold but refreshing! I came mid morning during a week day and found it not to busy. Most the dogs are friendly or well trained. I kept ours on a lead as he is still a pup and had no issues. For anyone wanting to know.. there is no crocs here. Just a few small fish in the deeper spots.

Floods have changed the layout and river was running well. Normally a great park for bbq's and dogs. Fresh water stream and lots of room.

👍👍 When in Cairns, The Great Barrier Reef is a MUST see and Down Under has the best snorkelling/diving experience around. The boat is huge, plenty of room and we didn’t feel sea sick. After an hour we arrived at the reef and the water was crystal clear and the wildlife was incredible. We paid for the m...
