My client and I are on holiday in Cairns and all she wanted was fresh mud crab. Dundee's definitely catered to her needs. Luke was amazing with the service and very attentive. One of the younger ladies ( sorry I didn't get your name but you know who you are) helped my client break up the crab shell which was awesome and the amazing gentleman at the end who helped me pay with six different payments was simply fantastic. We had the crocodile satay, the barramundi supreme, the mud crab with fruit plate and the magnum lava cake. All meals were absolutely delicious. It was the best seafood we've had in Queensland. Thank you so much to the entire team for making our night perfect.

The chowder was really delicious. On the other hand, we had very high expectations of the "seafood tower" and was somewhat disappointed. It was not as generous in the amount of seafood on offer as I had hoped. The trio of dips was good but not great. Service was reasonably prompt. Most of the servers were also really friendly and attentive. The chocolate lava cake was definitely worth the wait, and we loved the idea of the 3-dimensional, visual dessert "menu".

Awesome atmosphere — staff enhanced our dining experience with friendly fast service. They congratulated us on our anniversary and decorated our dessert Lava cake! Great attention to detail! We noticed staff celebrating customers birthdays, singing clapping cheering. Good vibe here. Our meals delicious — we ate seafood chowder, barramundi special, and the blue mussels in creamy garlic sauce, with a bottle of Australian wine. All tasted great. Dessert menu is epic! Rainy night enhanced the intimacy— we glad we chose Dundees on the Waterfront to enjoy our last night of our anniversary holiday!!!

Had a wonderful meal here for a mates 50. Service was engaging, prompt and polite. They did a great job of managing a large group and indeed a full restaurant. I opted for the seafood tower... which was sufficient for 2 or 3 people... it was a great choice. Hard to fault really. Hope to be back soon

On a trip from Melbourne, this restaurant was an absolute standout, the best we've experienced in a long time. We were overwhelmed with the amazing service we received from Stanley who gave us the perfect recommendations from starters, delicious mains to the most decadent desserts. Everything was perfect despite how packed the restaurant was that night. Thank you for an unforgettable experience!

A large restaurant at waterfront. Long menu selection fusions with Thai. Seafood player was an good experience for 2. Seafood chowder and curry all tasted good. The dessert choice presentation was tempting.

A restaurant with a view - check out the cruise ship that passed on by! 😄 I enjoyed a lovely afternoon/evening having dinner on the waterfront. The service was excellent, the food so delicious (I had the garlic bread with cheese (yum - highly recommend!!) and the Lamb Shanks special (it was soooo good, the meat just fell off the bone), plus the added touch of them handing out blankets because it was a little chilly on the boardwalk was the icing on the cake! A perfect evening spent with a good friend visiting from out of town 😀

Came in for dinner & lunch. We had the Seafood Tower for dinner, unfortunately the amount of seafood in it is not as much as we expected. The Coconut Parfait was lovely. Had the Linguine & Panang Curry for lunch, they were cooked beautifully with generous servings. We’re seated outside and had the lovely view, all staff were amazing and efficient. Would go back but not for the Tower.

Had an absolutely spectacular dinner for two, sitting outside on the boardwalk and watching the waves and moon come up! We had two cocktails (both delicious!) and shared the Prawn And Mango Salad, and the Australian Sampler Plate - can’t recommend both of them highly enough. Perfectly cooked meat and seafood with quality sauces and accoutrements (sweet potatoes were heavenly). Make sure to leave room for the Mango Crème Brûlée! Staff were all attentive, super friendly and, although the place was busy, service was prompt and enjoyable. Overall, a wonderful evening with great food and great vibes.

My girlfriends and I had dinner there last night as I thought it was long overdue and especially after the last 2 weeks which was the most stressful ever. The food and drinks were amazing, atmosphere it started off not so great as there was a screaming child but it did get better, the staff were friendly and helpful.I was happy with the bill and I would really recommend taking a partner there or a group of friends

Dundee's was a cab driver recommended restaurant on arrival to Cairns. Thanks mate! This place rocks. Well staffed. No waiting on service. Organised with staff who were awesome as well. Had the Seafood Tower which did not disappoint. Food was fresh, delicious, well prepared and delicious. The fruit was amazing as well. To finish off if you like an Irish Coffee it was a fabulous finish. Thanks to the wait staff and chefs. Great slow lazy lunch. Appreciated.

Would recommend booking in advance!! We tried to get in Tues night and it was fully booked so we booked for Sat night. Had a gorgeous table on the board walk, we had oysters$15, and the Australian Sampler platter $59 We can’t not fault the food or the service. The attendant was courteous, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. He did say they were fully booked and recommended ordering early which we did. We were there 45 mins and we were happy with food and service

Reservations recommended! We shared a starter of crocodile and kangaroo skewers. Loved it. I had the Penang seafood curry, whole baby octopus and yabbies were a new food for me to try. It was all really tasty. We all had a dessert. Beautiful location on the waterfront and a lovely atmosphere. Would visit again.

Great place. Love the atmosphere. The service was excellent. The food was very good. Had the prawns and scallop pasta and it hit the spot. Not the best I have had, but very good. My wife absolutely loved her pasta with avacado and olives.

Had dinner here on Monday night with a group of around 30 people. It's well organised for groups allocating each place setting with a number which allows you to split the bill. Have never seen this done before, but what a great idea. Personally had the Thai beef salad and some garlic bread. Food was nicely cooked and plated at a good price point of $25 which is why I chose it. Lovely views over the marina. Good service. Great floor staff. Considering the group size, food came out in good timing. Certainly recommend eating here.

From the time we walked in and were seated the whole Christmas Lunch experience was top notch. The food came out at the correct intervals, the wait staff were polite, friendly and knew what they were doing. Now the food......superb is the best word. Located at the terminal, along the pier, you will see when you walk along the pier. You can have a good view outside, looking at the sea while having your meal or drink there. I was just there having a glass of drink. But ordering seems very complicated though, you need to put your name, mobile number and table number when you order. I'm not sure what the mobile number is for. When I arrived I saw a broken glass down there and the waiter was busy cleaning, it happens in the restaurant so that's alright. When I sat down and 5mins later the waiter broke another glass again. Overall a good view there.

We had the best experience of sea food over there, with the perfect matching wine ever. We have ordered sea food plates to share which was enough for two, the quality, the service, the restaurant location and the vibe was the best. Make sure to book in advance as it’s a popular restaurant.

Great restaurant. Very welcoming staff. Good service that we received. Awesome atmosphere to sit down and have food, with a great view of the ocean. Food was delicious however the quantity was less.

A restaurant with quality food and an even nicer view (pictures don’t do it justice). Australian sampler plate is a great dish to order as it gives you everything from eye fillet, crocodile and kangaroo meat, and seafood. Other items like the roast sweet potato salad and field mushrooms are good too.

Exceptional restaurant! Really tasty and fresh seafood, to die for. We had crab slider and natural oysters for entree. Barramundi supreme & prawn & scallop pesto pasta for mains. Chocolate tart and coconut & Malibu parfait for dessert. Would love to come back next time we visit the area.

Went to Dundees for my partner’s birthday, the service was absolutely great as I booked a table on the deck however it was super windy. The staff member suggested if I’d like to have a seat inside instead & manage to put us inside. Food service was super great & absolutely enjoyed the food so much. Ordered the bugtail spaghettini & wanted some mussels on the side, the waiter was really great & manage to serve some mussels on the side. 12/10 would come back again! 😍 Highly recommend Dundee’s Taster Plate, we got to enjoyed little of everything on the entrée menu! We enjoyed it soooo much. And the birthday celebration was really good tooo. 12/10 for everything we had! Thank u once again for the team!!!

Had the kangaroo medium rare and it was very good. Drinks were good too but for some reason mine came out looking like it wasn't filled as much as it should've been. At first we were seated right by the kitchen, which we requested to move from since it was pretty loud and we wanted to sit more in front. The staff accommodated us and changed our seats.

Fantastic menu. Something for everyone. Kids menu and coloring in. Menu has lots of gluten free options. Seafood tower was delicious. Perfect spot on the water. Reservations recommended.

That's not a knife! Situated on the beautiful waterfront in Cairns, Dundee's stands out as a key restaurant in town. We were recommended not to visit but thought we would try it anyway. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality and service was great. If you want to venture out and try some local produce, try the crocodile skewers or the kangaroo loin.
