What wonderful place to stay and for a decent price. Convenience of so many shops and places to eat. The view over the harbour is spectacular. With the door shut you cannot hear the world outside. And we were there while modifying the Esplanade. The staff were warm and very friendly and go over and beyond to make you feel welcome. Even went to extreme lengths to organise 2 extra nights for two rooms. The only thing I would suggest changing would be the lounge chairs. You would get 5 stars if that was changed. But 5 stars is a must for the staff.

Royal Harbour is above the night markets smack dab in the middle of the Cairns Esplanade. Totally secure facility, balcony view of ocean/Esplanade Staff are super friendly. Room is clean and modern. Has a kitchen, washing machine and totally self contained. The price is super cheap for this time of year (new years 2023) Food is easily accessible downstairs. It has limited free parking, and most of all it has great views

Could not have been happier with this accommodation. We had a spa unit with lots of views over the harbour. Located above the night markets was ideal and didnt need a car or cab. The unit is roomy and very clean and very quiet. Resort staff were excellent. I would not stay anywhere else

We absolutely loved staying at Royal Harbour apartments. This was so central to everything, glorious views and the staff were wonderful. The apartment was lovely, clean, and perfectly positioned to explore all the sight of Cairns - within walking distance to everything and right above the Night Market so loads of opportunity to shop. Will definitely be back :)

Building is very dated, paid for an apartment and the room has a byfold louvre door that is broken and noisy when you close it and lets light in. Room said it had a spa but the spa blowers are all blanked off. The ac in the room doesn’t go into the bedroom. The ac outdoor unit on the balcony blows hot air at the table. Only good thing is the location is great.

Location is totally its forte. Rooms were OK, somehow outdated but very decent and clean. Fair price.

We stayed in the 3br on floor 8. It was updated, and really nice. I’d have to say the building is a bit dated, but our unit was great! We accidentally left my daughters lovie, and a pillow. And the gentleman at the front desk left notes on our car to check in with him before we left town (we had checked out and went to the aquarium before heading out), and he returned our items. I’d definitely stay here again.

Son slipped in bath, smashed out 2 teeth. I went to help, I slipped on floor broke 3 ribs after being told to make sure bathroom door is closed or fire alarm will go off. It created a very humid room and tiles were extremely slippery. Also found previous guests sleeping pill under the bed

Great apartment. Comfortable, has all the necessities like washing machine, good bathroom, we had a view to the esplanade which was lovely. The shower head may need replacing. We stayed in room 506. I loved the apartment 😊 would def stay here again

Very dated apartment. Foldback doors on bedroom...so no window. Bathroom has see through glass to living room. Not ideal when travelling with teenage daughter! Views to ocean were only redeeming feature. No coffee maker...just instant packets. Had to ask for milk...given in tiny containers. For the price, I expect better than this. 1 bedroom with ocean view is actually tiny with no table or chairs to eat a meal. A/c is locked so you can't make room cooler..I could go on...but you get the picture. Not recommended.

This hotel is terrible!!! DO NOT STAY! My friends stayed there to celebrate a bday and someone made a noise complaint and the manager UNLOCKES THE DOOR with a key he had and doesn't bother waiting for us to open it and kicked us out! NO refund NOTHING. Truly upset as we paid for a night. 0/5 stars rating. Don't stay here unless you want to get your door unlocked!

Hubby and I spent 3 nights and would've loved to stay longer, alas it was not possible. From the moment I contacted Cyrileanne at reception to the moment we left, I was in a world of bliss. Cyrileanne made me an offer I couldn't refuse (heaps cheaper than the booking sites) and was incredibly friendly and helpful with the booking. We had room 706 on the 7th floor overlooking the foreshore, harbour and lagoon. You couldn't get a better location. The night markets are right next door and there's many restaurants and cafes within 5-10mins walk catering to every taste. The pool was a perfect temperature and well kept. The apartment was roomy, comfortable and clean and had everything you would need for a few days including kitchenware. There was even a circular spa bath from which you could watch the boats coming and going out on the harbour. Many thanks to Cyrileanne, Abbey and Valter on reception who are all so very welcoming and helpful. What a great team of people. Also big shout out to all the staff who clean the rooms and maintain the building. You're all doing a brilliant job. We will definitely be back.

Great location, right in the centre of the action, walk everywhere. Great views, good size rooms lovely and clean with all you need. Fantastic welcoming staff that really make you welcome. Highly recommended, we will be back.

Terrible terrible terrible The photos on their website when booking do not look like the actual rooms (they look very staged ). When walking into the room it was dirty, smelt bad, dirty floors, hairs in the ‘clean towels’, dirty toilet seat and a dirty face mask left on the floor. Absolutely gross!
