Lovely little farm where you can have a picnic and see horses, dogs and donkeys as well as some cows. I love the calm atmosphere.

We contacted the owner and the farm was nothing far from what the website shows nor what the owner said. The one thing I didn't like is that the dogs were very intrusive and we couldn't avoid them nor force them away. But that wasn't a big surprise since the owner clearly mentioned that. The place is very nice but I didn't find much to do more than the horse riding activity which exhausted me but it was definitely worth it. A few of things that can be improved are: - Having a clean place for prayer. I was guided to a room for Zuhr prayer but at the Asr prayer the room was closed and I found no one to ask for help. - Having someone show us around when we arrive so we can take care of ourselves without constantly bothering the staff - Have a private room to change or nurse a baby with comfort.

Forget about your troubles and experience Maryanne’s farm’s Magic. Great place to relax and the lunch (at cost) is always locally sourced and delicious. I hope you like dogs, because she has a whole pack that follows her around. Don’t forget to ask for any seasonal greens she may have available!

We had a BBQ at the farm and the kids had fun running around in the garden playing tag and other fun outdoor games. Staff are super friendly and Maryanne was great company. So very very worth the trip.

Maryanne is a tremendous host and Al Sorat offers a great escape from downtown Cairo
