My bf and I went to this club yesterday night. First, they confirmed our reservation without telling us about the entrance fees... We paid 100egp each at the door, just to find out after that our Egyptian friends didn't pay! How weird!!! We ended up spending around 1000egp for 3 drinks in a very very crowded place, no where to dance or even make your way to the bathroom. I would expect a better service for the prices they have. So not worth it.

Worst nightlife experience ever. We were on a performer’s guestlist and upon arrival were told that we were not on the door list. We waited for 45 minutes and left. After a lot of back and forth and many complaints, we received an apology but still haven’t received an explanation as to why we weren’t on the door list despite being on the guestlist shared with them - just told we simply weren’t. Our night was ruined, our time was wasted, and we felt very disrespected.

The worst unethical and unprofessional place ever. We’ve heard some nice things about the place, we tried to call them since the morning to have a booking, and as expected, no one answered. Upon coming to their place, they didn’t allow us to enter, informing us that they don't pick up any calls and that the only way to book is by visiting their Facebook page! That’s the silliest thing I have ever heard, and this is how a tourist has been treated! Just don’t try to visit this place to prevent being humiliated!

As a long time barman, I wouldn’t expect the prices to be 300% percent the mark up especially when I see the barmen routinely pouring between half and two thirds the measure that they’re meant to. Absolute rip off ahaha

//TOURISTS I REALLY DO ADVISE YOU DO NOT GO TO THIS BAR// Nothing about this place is like any jazz bar I've been too before,,, the vibe is off and the staff are the unfriendliest bar tenders I've ever met,,, and the surprise of a 100EGY entrance fee on my bill was just outrageous!!! I told them I would not pay the fee as I was not told when I entered and the staff became very aggressive.

They ask for your social media links before allowing you to book the entrance or a table… don’t know what are their criteria? Maybe your face or your social background. Anyway, thought it was a pure jazz club but happened to be an electro disco. They insure you before you pay their 200egp entrance fee that the club is full. We were 4 people at 11pm.

New Year's eve 2023-24: very disappointing experience. No count down for the new year. The reservation system was biased to start with (approved for a woman's but not a man's request to reserve). Completely crowded - to the point that there was no place to stand. Over-priced stuff. No payment via VISA - they requested cash only. And the owner kicked people out for no reason. Horrible attitude. I don't recommend.

Cozy and iconic if you want to experience Cairo’s nightlife! Best DJs in town, a little crowded on the weekends but that adds to the vibrant atmosphere. Definitely the place to be! Requires reservation in advance.

It's a great fun place for those who like live music. The management was nice and very gentil with us. We came with no reservation around 10 pm and got a good table. We took Stella beers and pizza that looked and tasted very Italian. The entrance fee was 200 egp per person but it's reasonable since there was a night of 3 live bands. It was really great , we had fun. It got crowded around 11 pm and sigarettes smell became really unpleasant but it's the only negative point of this club. We loved the environment, music and service.

As tourists visiting Egypt, we heard a lot about that place. The reservation process is insane (only thru Facebook and no one answers the calls). While texting they asked to have our social media profiles which we found weird. They didn’t confirm if we are allowed in or not but we went anyway. On the door, they gave us the vibe that it’s hard to let us in and that they are making an exception for us. As soon as you enter someone asks for a fee (doesn’t include anything). To our shock, the place was empty. We ordered drinks and a waited for a band to start which were super late. The waiters are not friendly and not professional at all. Horrible experience and I’m definitely not coming back again.

So in order to come and enjoy music I have to bring a girl with me as per their policy. What a horrible way to manage a "Jazz" music club. You're not worthy of such name. You're just a trash night club that keep existing because there is not really any other options in the area.

A very unethical and classist place and staff. My and names of 3 of my friends were added to the list in advance and were confirmed and once we arrived, they only allowed me to get in and said that my three friends are not on the list. This is not my first time at Cairo Jazz and I’m usually on a guest list. I tried to negotiate the time we spend inside because we came to watch the first DJ thinking it was crowded, which was not, and showed proof that the names were confirmed and no one helped. The place was empty and there was no line and we offered to just stay in for 1-2 hrs to watch the DJ we came for. But I was faced with so much resistance and unwelcoming vibes, which is very disappointing for a place that attract some of the best DJs in Cairo. Eventually, the guy i was speaking to, named Karim, who said he manages the place said that they have a special criteria to approve people, aka the way you look, dress and even speak will be the defining criteria — and if you have tried to attend an event, you already know they ask for your social media, which again, is super unethical and an invasive of privacy. I am aware that my comment won’t affect the popularity of the place but if you’re reading this comment, I hope you are aware of the energy you’re getting yourself in. I am never stepping a foot in this place.

The venue isn't worth a visit. They enforce a regressive "mixed couples policy" where women are objectified, used as accessories for men's entry. If you're a woman, beware. Male tourists are encouraged to bring women with them just to enter this so-called "safe space." I read a 1-star review where a woman brought three "friends," but they only let her in, not the men on her list. Why should they judge your worthiness based on your social media followers and photos for a jazz club visit? When you call, they insist on booking through Facebook to vet you based on your photos and social class, which they label as "invites only" or "exclusive crowd." They should focus on the number of people reading Google reviews rather than Facebook photos. Their rating would likely be higher than 3.9.

Nice place super cozy nice atmosphere good to have a small company and grab a drink.. over priced a little for shots, food is good. In case u search for a more vintage ambience with calm lighting it’d be the place is way smaller than CJC zayed. Parking would be an issue in weekends, needs a reservation and semicasual outfits.

The place is huge and nice, great interior design and light works. Somehow I didnt enjoy parties here. Even though DJs play really well sometimes something is wrong with the atmosphere. Maybe it's not crowded enough l, maybe the Crowd us wrong. The food is tasty though. And I liked the service in this place. Hope you will enjoy it here more than me 😁

Music Zone is not only about music (although it features some of the finest DJ's in town and they have a live performance by extremely talented musicians every day!). What I also like about this place is the multi facet it offers: cool cocktails, delicious food, excellent service and above all a fantastic fiesta mood every night! It is mainly a young crowd 25-35 but I have also met some older couples. Prices are comparable to similar places in Cairo, ladies nights in mid-week offer an interesting option for young ladies on a smaller budget.

(Translated by Google) Music Zone is one of the worst experiences that I went through wherever I stayed in my life .. His experience is very weak, and he does not know how to differentiate between the types of the jests and he deals with his strange rudeness and the end of the darkness, and without what he knows, he talks to whoever and with the utmost deceit .. not It is surprising that the place was very empty, and it is very clear that this place does not have the mentality to protect the customer ... In general, I think those responsible for this place need to stop and I will make sure of this myself! Worst place ever u can go to ... unprofessional and inexperienced staff !!!! Nice place, cool music and very good cocktails, BUT, it's overcrowded AND they told us they don't admit people after 8... SO we came 8, the place was almost empty... and then people started coming at around 10, 1030... and the bands started 11. I mean why did they say 8 and allowed tons of people to come at 10, 11 and 12? We just sat there 3 hours doing nothing. Just disappointed. Other than that and the overcrowdness everything else was cool.

Nice place with good vibes, good music and crowd. My only grip are the bar tenders are extremely slow, and drink prices are double the norm (compared to US prices). Low shelf liquor, primarily domestic with lower end import liquior combined with high prices make it a recipe for disaster. Higher end liquor and faster bar tenders would make this weekly place to be.

Still one of the stable getaways in Cairo & vibes are still positive & their cuisine is in medium range & since the place is indoor so the music loudness & purity are good while their hard and soft drinks are good while the guest is still the same.

The iconic Cairo Jazz Club in the Agouza district of Cairo has been around for 20+ years. 🎸 A cool place to enjoy local artists, bands and DJs. They sometimes have themed nights. 🎺 The crowd is young-ish so they don't dress up. Most of them are in ripped jeans and casual tops. 👖 They are notorious for their door selection policy. We were almost denied entry last night even though we had a reservation! 🚪 So you probably have to know one of the regulars or start name dropping or try to be super early so they can't use the capacity excuse on you! 😉

To avoid issues at door you need to reserve from their fb page. Friendly staff. The place is cozy and people there like a family. Great to be a regular place to enter. The staff are friendly. However it is expensive with the below quality average as a night club. The entrance is for 200 L.E ( not a minimum charge ) while Some people mentioned here some people don’t pay entrance fees. I ordered smoked cuban cocktail 500 L.E. it should be heavy it was very light and not good at all. It was closed circuit day, performance was so average and boring. The place is much crowded you can barely move or go to the bathroom ( just one cabinet ).

Came for the live music and was pleased with three performances by local artists. Hypnotic vibes, though I’m told they host a variety of genres. I don’t drink alcohol and was happy with the non-alcoholic options, even though it was pricey for my backpackers’ budget (like the 200le entrance fee). But I came here knowing this, and it was worth the show. Vibes from other guests were also fabulous. I arrived alone and befriended a group of locals by the end of the night.

Me and my girlfriend arrived clueless of what to expect, and found a very cool spot in Cairo! Staff was friendly from the entrance (we're not locals), smiling people inside and the Djs were on fire! After many years working in clubs and bars, I love to travel and find these little gems in cities, it was worth it, we made friends inside, chatted with everyone and I was taking photos of the people dancing with my camera and zero problems at all. Very cool spot, will definitely be back whenever I'm in Cairo.

The place is not worth the try!! You need to have a woman with you as part of their backward "mixed couples policy", Which in fact is very degrading to WOMEN to say the least ,where you as a woman will be used as an accessory for men to enter. If you are a woman reading this review, please know that male tourists who like live music are being told to drag a woman with them so they can let men into their SAFE SPACE!! I was reading a 1 star review here of a woman who brought 3 "friends" with her, she booked and they confirmed then when she got there they told her we can let you in (the woman) but the other names are not on the list 😅 I bet they were 3 men. Another thing why do you need to see how many followers I have and check my photos online to know that I'm Jazz Club worthy 🤣? When you call, they tell you to book through Facebook, and not through instagram or whatsapp, for example, because they can access your photos and do a class-based vetting before you come to their place. (What they name: invites only, exclusive crowd etc..) I think they should count how many people see these reviews on Google instead of checking out photos on Facebook, they would have a rating better than a 3.9

Not really recommended, VERY VERY overpriced for no real reason, one small cola is 55 EGP, Margarita pizza EGP 100, one of my friends got one beer for 85 EGP, we ordered one chicken quesadillas (exactly 4 small pieces) for EGP 108 after tax and service. The music is okay, I mean you can go watch the same performers in different venues like "Room Art Space", or "Da House", or "Darb 1718" and pay almost nothing compared to this place. The place is not big or really special in any way compared to the prices. I would suggest visiting only once as an experience, but definitely not to be your go to.

I told him that as a tourist how could I possibly know when the website doesn’t specify the reservation part. I explained that to the bouncer. He then said that even if have reservation, I also should have a girl with me. I’m going back unless with a lot of girls.

Nice place for a loud night with a bunch of friends. The dancing floor is not big enough though.

Great experience of cairo nightlife. The band was great the night I was there. The only issue was that I was told to be there at 8pm. But the place was almost empty until 10pm and band started at 11:30pm.

One of the best places with live music in Cairo. Nice ambient and great music. Fully recommend

$20 USD for a cocktail. Ok as far as bars go. Best Egypt can do

Nice place, great vibe. Expensive alcohol and the staff is not too friendly. Nonetheless, still an enjoyable experience at the Latin dance night.

The one original bar/club experience to have in Cairo, for the last 10-20 years. This place was my favorite spot to celebrate or to find out about new music in Cairo !

Cairo jazz Club is the best place in the entire area! I am writing this here because they don’t have google rating! If you go here, ask for; kirollos and mr.Ahmed shaaban ! I am from Norway, normally I would dodge these places, but these people, best people, I don’t know what to say! Go here!

Cairo’s favorite night spot for more than a decade. Food is underrated. Friends are made. Music is discovered.

So restrict entrance, compared to most famous Jazz club in London and Paris much easier.

Not a bad place, but extremely overpriced where you have to pay 200egp for entrance. The drinks were the most expensive ones I have ever had and not worth of the price. It is called a “club”, but it is more a bar. However the band and dj were nice and I liked the atmosphere.

Chill if you reserve through Facebook (outdated but effective). I think the Facebook is more of a security thing than a clout thing. Good drinks and good food. Cheap by American standards.

Even if you book OR your on the artist's guest list AND we're a mixed group, there is no guaranteeing how you get treated on the door. I'm all for applying door selection and don't have a problem being told they won't let us in, but I have a problem with them avoiding giving us a clear word and making up reasons why we can't get in.

I honestly had the worst experience ever! I was put on a performer’s guest list and I went with my friends and for some reason I was told that my name wasn’t on the door list (even though I saw it on the performer’s guestlist), so I decided to leave. I tried to contact CJC to know what was the problem, and here I got no clear answer, I was almost ghosted and no one handled the issue properly! This has been a great disappointment and I honestly can’t believe the lack of professionalism they had handling this issue!

Extremely overpriced. The place is usually extremely crowded it's hard to dance or sit down. You can get a much better experience at other places while paying half what you'd have paid at CJC. Very bad vibes overall and extremely overrated place.
