I rarely give 5 stars - this means more than great food, it's a great value that exceeds expectations. We ordered the burrito bowl, greek salad and a cappuccino. Everything was fresh and flavorful. Good presentation, good wifi, even had usb chargers by our table! We would definitely return.

It was great to find a delicious vegan option (hold the cheese and sour cream) in the Veggie Burrito at Crumbs, that could be made gluten free without a tortilla!

A beautiful cafe, gorgeous lighting complete with original brick wall and copper ceiling (remnants of the past)! A marvel to behold! The service is excellent! Professional, kind warm and welcoming. I was gonna take away but ended up staying because the staff is great, the place is lovely and the homemade soft serve was the best soft serve I have ever had! It was orange pineapple flavor and it blew my mind! So so good! Loved being here 💜🍦

A wonderful place to eat. There are lots of choices, super nice staff, and very good prices on everything. The horseradish steak sandwich was amazing, but there is much more on the menu to try. We could not make it to desert, but they looked delicious! Stip in next time you are up in Calais. You will be happy you did.

What an AWESOME little coffee shop. The service was top notch - the barrista even stepped it up with some great modifications for our drinks. Both of our coffee drinks were wonderful. I highly recommend popping in for a delicious piece of cake and a yummy coffee.

Food is extremely good and fairly priced, unfortunately, that’s if you can get there while they’re open. They tend to open and close whenever they please and may even close for an entire day just for the hell of it.

I ordered a cheese burger with onion rings on the burger. The only bad this is is that I should have ordered 2 burgers lol. Food was fantastic and I can't wait to go back. I would recommend Crumbs Cafe & coffee to anyone and there grandmother's. Yummy yummy in my tummy😋😋😋

Thank you for a great start into the day. Nice café with very good coffee and very friendly service. A lot of well configured sandwiches, muffins, ... that are really tasty and served in real ceramic mugs and on reusable dishes leaves a European guy with good feelings.

Great Food including whole pies, bread, buns and cakes to go. I had the Roast Beef and Horseradish Panini with Egg Nog Latte. It was great. I took home an Apple pie.

Refreshing addition to the Calais main st businesses. The summer chicken salad sandwich was delicious, and anytime I want a panini or soup I can depend on Crumbs to serve their best. The interior boasts a simple stylish decor and a relaxed atmosphere. We always have an overall a nice experience.

Great experience at crumbs, the salad special was delish and large portions. I didn't even have room for the anticipated desert. A definite return visit is in order.

The food is fresh and there are a lot of choices: paninis, burritos, salads, sandwiches, pastries and local beers on tap. Overall they do a good job and it is a cheery atmosphere, across from the Calais town green. I can't say that I am particularly excited about anything I have had the several times I have been there, but neither have I had a bad experience. They display local artwork on the walls, sometimes by kids from the Calais schools. A good place for locals and tourists alike.

The best place for coffee and lunch! Very quick and considerate service, great food, large portions, and cafe style atmosphere! We will be making it a habit to come back! Lattes are a good size and taste great, the hot chocolate is perfectly chocolatey, the cream of zuchini and the broccoli and cheddar soups were melt in your mouth good, and the sandwiches are customizable with great options! And the desserts... Yum!!!

I had the buffalo Mac and cheese. I was really looking forward to it and unfortunately, I don't think it was very good at all. It was very bland other than the buffalo sauce. Looked like plain noodles were put into a container and then some cheese was sprinkled over it and it was warmed through. There didn't appear to be or taste like there was a cheese sauce on the noodles. The shredded cheese was barely melted in some places, not at all melted in other spots. The chicken had no flavor other than if you got some with buffalo sauce on it. I love Mac and cheese and I was only able to pick about three bites out of this before I had to throw it away. Maybe other things are good, but it's not worth it to me to try after wasting the money on the Mac and cheese.

Space looks newly renovated, food was great. The owners son took our order and was very nice. Be careful about their hours, they are closed Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays. We rearranged our driving plans so we’d pass through Calais on a Friday and be able to eat here and we’re glad we did!

Being new to this remote town after a month, I came across this gem of a café. I have passed by it a few times and they were closed. I wish they would keep regular hours. I’d almost given up on eating out until I found this little cute café with such good food and fresh and large meals. This is my new go to spot now for anything, it’s clean and fresh. The owner or managers take pride when they’re picking out their vegetables for any toppings. I had the most amazing Cobb salad with shredded delicious chicken and a giant turkey avocado Panini. This was going to serve at least three or four people. It’s definitely enough for 21 serving is. And let’s not forget their really delicious little desserts and fresh coffee.

Some eclectic sandwiches (grilled strawberries and Swiss cheese) and a great selection of desserts. Fast friendly service. Clean establishment.

I had the chicken bacon ranch salad tonight and it was so delicious, I ate half of it without dressing because I couldn't even wait to get home. You guys never disappoint with your yummy, fresh food and lovely staff. Thank you for being so amazing at what you do.

Always a favorite! Tomato pesto panini, tomato basil soup, and better than sex cake are all terrific. Lasagna soup is also good as is the chocolate peanut butter cake.

Delicious food!!!! Prices are ok. I don't get a warm friendly feel when I go, tho, or I would go more often. smiles and being conversational goes a long way with me.

I really, really wanted to like this place, and my first visit there, I did. Coffee is the best around and the cheesecake melted in my mouth. However, my second visit the chef, or owner, or someone had decided to "take the day off" and, even though the sign said they were open, it was only for pick up of special orders. A sign on the door stating that would have gone a looong way toward keeping me as a regular customer. I had waited an hour outside for them to open.....really wanted my morning coffee and a nice, quiet atmosphere to relax and enjoy it in. Could just taste that cheesecake! Soooo, remembering the great coffee, I gave it one more chance when I had to come into town early this morning. Had a not-so-great àvocado veggie skillet and an extremely tough, almost couldn't bite off pieces, cinnamon roll. (When was that thing made??) As I said, really wanted a great coffee place to enjoy chatter and smiles......but will have to look further.

If you live in the Downeast area and need an event catered I would strongly recommend Crumbs. I am in New York state and needed catering for a event in the Calais area. I was reluctant as I was afraid of platteres of finger rolls with tuna salad ,egg salad etc.I wanted a bit more upscale.I reached out to the Crumbs gentleman and "Wow". Their food was not only delightful to look at but everything was soooo delicious.

Owners are great. Food is amazing. Haven't had a bad meal yet.
