This is such a captivating and arresting place! The landscape is sweeping in its panoramic majesty, and boasts beautiful animals, rolling hills and forestry. West Yorkshire in all its glory is on full display here. We’ve gone for many walks here through the years and I find it to be a great and practical avenue for hiking, jogging and generally just enjoying the grandeur of nature. Be sure to come prepared with a camera of any sort to immortalize fantastic memories. A highly recommended place to enjoy on so many levels!

Nicely maintained country park. Popular with dog walkers. The path around the reservoir is fairly flat, level and suitable for robust pushchairs. The car park closes earlier in the winter months, see my photo for details but 4.00pm December & January.

Plenty of areas to explore. We usually go up to the windmills by following the stream upwards and complete a circular. They've just planted lot of trees (hundreds), hoping to see these grow really big in the next few years.

Amazing placeπŸ₯°πŸ₯°πŸ₯° I recommend everyone to visit OGDEN park. You can enjoy yourself in nice scenery to see the lake and only the voice of the bird and water are heard. Furthermore, the huge trees and jungle πŸ’žπŸ’ž Ogden Water Local Nature Reserve offers a superb opportunity to escape from the stresses and strains of everyday life. Over 300,000 people visit Ogden Water every year for picnics, walking, feeding the ducks, family outings and nature activities. The visitor centre also has many leaflets about things to do in the area. Please note there is no cycling allowed anywhere on the Ogden Water estate. There is also no fishing allowed within the reservoir.

Interesting nature walk, lots of choice of trails and paths. Picnic tables, lots of benches to rest and take in the views. Parking charge Β£1.00 in honesty box so very good value morning or/afternoon ramble.

Another hidden gem in West Yorkshire, very close to Bradford. Very clean and refreshing air. Beautiful walk approximately take about 30 minutes for short cut and 45-50 minutes for the full circle. Pet friendly, free parking. If you are a nature lover and need a peaceful gateway, this is the place for you.

A really nice, picturesque walking location with a huge reservoir. Myself and my fiancΓ©e always go walking here as it's Β£1 to park, clean, beautiful and you do get quite a few steps in depending on which trail you take. Always gives us a cheap, beautiful day out

Love it here. Great walks in the reserve including dogs. Benches to sit down on if needed. The walk around the reservoir is suitable for pushchairs but not the walks in the woods etc.

A lovely area in Calderdale with natural beauty. It is a fantastic place to stroll around the reservoir with friends. Then rest and enjoy your homemade picnic. Or buy an ice cream before you leave .

Beautiful walk within stunning scenery. Been coming here since I was a child and just returned after about 10 years of not visiting. Just as stunning as I remember.

Clean and a great Christmas Tree initiative where you drop your tree off in January and they make a barrier for animals to live in and to stop people from swimming in the reservoir. Fair few routes to explore, some right the way to Denholm.

Nice walk around the reservoir approx 1.6km,nice smooth path ideal for wheelchair users and pushchairs, a lot of dogwalkers use the park, didn't see much wildlife, there are toilets 🚻 there but no cafe, parking should be £1 but there's no way of paying.

Lovely walk around the reservoir paths with the options to explore paths in the woods. Plenty of seats to just sit, relax and enjoy the views.

A lovely walk anytime of the year. Can be very busy during summer on sunny days so parking can be an issue.

Lovely place for a walk with some good options if you want to go further afield onto the moors etc. Well maintained by volunteers (they use old Christmas trees to build a fence around the water which smells lovely). Can get very busy on bank Holidays and weekends so I tend to avoid it at them times. Also has toilets and a small visitor shop. It's just a shame that there's so many dog walkers that either don't take doggy bags with them, or decide to bag it and dump it!!!
