I wish I could give it 0 stars! This used to be one of our favorite take out places until last few orders. First it was chicken fingers that were soaked in oil, cold, and barely cooked. I called talked to the manager and they credited the amount towards next order. Thought it can happen to any of us until now. I ordered a broccoli and cheese calzone which was served with ROTTEN, ORANGE broccoli (see photos). When I opened the box the smell really hit me I lifted the dough from the top to find what you can see in the photo. Absolutely disgusting! I though I was going to vomit. I called the the “on duty manager”said sorry you want me to send replacement? Like it’s not a big deal. I’m sorry this place will kill someone serving old rotten food. I asked for them to pick it up so she can see and understand how serious this was, only for me to have to call back an hour later because no one was coming. I told the person who answered that she really needs to report it to the owners. She took my name and number. Still no call from the owner! They clearly do not take their customers seriously or care that their chef and quality control served spoiled food. Be ware eat at your own risk!

Got a well done large Thinny Thin pizza. Very thin, crunchy near the edge, and soft near the middle. Sauce is balanced, not too sour, not too sweet. Cheese has a good quality cheese taste to it and is not greasy. If you normally eat 2 slices, you will have to eat at least 3 or 4 to feel satisfied.

Angeloni's opened to great fanfare because the food was good, but also because Caldwell pizza lovers thought it a great alternative to Star closer to home. It has made its own mark by now, with its thin pizza and its even thinner "thinny thin" pies the stuff of legend (or hate, it's that way!). The regular menu items are good too. Definitely a great place to have a comforting meal.

Really tasty thinny thin. Next time I want to try their regular crust. Their sauce was tangy and delicious but their was some confusion at the desk when picking up which is the only reason I’m giving 3 out of 5 stars for service.

The tinny thin for the winny win. One of the most unique and crispy pies I have ever had. It is a must try!

Love the pizza. Been here a few times and it's always fantastic. I knocked one star off of the atmosphere this visit only because there was no music playing. Every other time I've gone they have great oldies playing. Drives my kids nuts but I love it.

We’ve been going to Angeloni’s for “Sunday pizza night” for quite a while. We were big fans of their “thiny-thin” pizza and that’s why we always came back. However, the last few times we were there, the experience was not good. One Sunday, without any notice, they closed the restaurant early for some kitchen renovation that was happening the next day. There was no sign on the door and no warning on the website that they were closing early that night. We arrived at our usual time (around 7:45 ish) and they still had 2 tables eating, but told us they were closed. We debated that there was no warning about the early closing, and that we had driven 20 min to go there. They finally agreed to sit us and the only thing we were able to order was the pizza. Mid-way through dinner, they turned off all the lights with the exception of the kitchen area (our table was near it) and were told we had to pay cash because the CC machines has been turned off. The last Sunday we went there, we again arrived around 7:45-8:00 PM. There were a few tables finishing up, but we sensed they were annoyed that a new party had just walked in. Mind you, they supposedly close at 10:00PM on Sundays. We tried to order garlic knots and clams casino for appetizers, but were told they were out of both. Huh? Garlic knots are the simplest things to make, how can you be out of them at a pizza place? We settled for Caesar salad and the pizzas. Once again, as we are half way through dinner, they started cleaning the floors around us, even though it was only around 8:30 PM. Nothing can be more unpleasant than eating with the smell of cleaning products around you. Unfortunately, that was our last time there. The owners should really consider closing up earlier on Sundays, as they are not doing their business any favors by staying open until 10:00 PM with a staff that clearly is done working by 8:00.

The pepperoni pizza had a nice form but no flavor and the cheesesteak was the same. They said american but it hit like a slice of Velveeta. I know portnoy gave this an 8.8 but it was just missing flavors I expect when I eat these things.

The Food here is excellent! Clams oreganata- not overly cooked with good lemon sauce Carbonara- on point, one of the best Calamari- well fried Garlic knots are excellent, very garlicy and buttery Chicken masala on a bed of spinach is outstanding! Will repeat!

This is one of our favorite restaurants and our kids constantly beg to go back here. Their pizza is definitely our favorite in the area. A lot of people talk about how good Star Tavern is, but if you like that style of pizza, the Thinny Thin blows it away. Other favorites are the long hots with sausage and potatoes and the Cesar salad. It’s a family run business and the staff are always friendly and the service is great. Its BYOB, so don’t forget to grab singing on the way.

They initially sat us down in the darkest unlit side of a empty dining hall - when we tried to move to a different table the waitress wouldn’t let us for some odd reason. The tables were sticky and smelled like damp rotten towels A dead fly randomly fell and landed on our table. Ordered the “thinny thin” - it was very dry and hard to chew. Inedible overcooked pizza. Overpriced for a very thin pizza Our caprese salad for TWO could’ve used some more arugula - overpriced for what we got Buffalo wings were just “ok” Expected so much more.

Another fantastic recommendation by barstool, knocked it out of the park with the thinny thin pie. Pizza was def top 5 Ive ever had, super thin square pie was amazing, I only went for the pizza so I didn't have anything else but the free garlic knots were kind of awsome also.

Been a few times, Always good service and good food. Last visit was charged about $15 more than menu showed, I asked hostess who replied " sorry, there's a sign with a QR code with new prices" why would you hand out 4 menus and never mention the new prices. Its not the money, it's the point.

You know their pizza is good when a group of 10 of us flew in all the way from TEXAS just to eat at Angeloni's! The place was clean, inviting, and everything we had was absolutely delicious, from appetizers to pizza to dessert-all made from scratch! They made us feel like celebrities- Because the owner and sons all came out from the kitchen and even drove back to meet us including Ernie and the rest of the staff!! 🥰 It was truly one of the best places we have ever dined at, not only because food but because of the wonderful customer service that was given to us! I guarantee you will feel the same once you stop in and have their FAMOUS Thin Pizza or anything on their menu! 📢Just tell them MeLinda from Texas sent you! Make sure you check out all our pics I just posted on here! Enjoy, Xoxo

The famous thinny thin pizza is definitely worth the trip. Good crunch, the burnt Parmesan cheese on the crust was a great finish to a great pie. I recommend getting a whole pie. I Grabbed a slice of pepperoni and the roni was good but the pizza itself was better fresh out the oven. Next time I'm doing 1/2 roni.

So much better than the Barstool review on Youtube tells you. My brother and I had a late lunch there recently. Walking in, you automatically feel this is an older (more like "classic") spot, with the older, used pizza ovens. Service was excellent, with our server and various other employees checkin in on us periodically, but not so frequently that we were harassed. Starting with the amuse, bread and butter may seem simple, but when you've got good cripsy outside, fluffy inside Jersey Italian bread, you can't have a better start. Clams casino had HUGE chunks of bacon (always a win), the wings were nicely crispy even though smothered in sauce, and brussels sprouts are good enough a vegetable hating fella would fall in love with them, Full disclosure, we didn't get the original cheese that the barstool guy had, we went with the Thinny Thin, and it was glorious. Crispy all the way through, zero flop, a satisfying medium crisp with ever bite. Very tasty crust, just the right amount of cheese so the slice wasn't greasy and the sauce had a nice flavor that made you want more even when finished. As a former Jersey guy/now Brooklyn resident, this pizza can stand with some of the best I've had in BK. Looking forward to the next time I visit my brother so we can try some of the other apps and pizzas.

We just ordered mozzarella sticks and one small cheese pizza… the cost was very high for what we got. The mozzarella sticks was good but the pizza was so disappointing. I would rate this 3.5/10.

Good local pizza restaurant with an extended menu. Dated but classic interior space is a little cramped. Very busy on weekends so be prepared to wait. It's all about their excellent sauce which complements their excellent thin crust pizza.

I'm glad I made the trip out to Angeloni's Restaurant & Pizzeria in Caldwell, NJ. This area is filled with good pizza and Angeloni's fits that bill! Parking is mostly on the street and the inside of the restaurant at the time I visited was buzzing with activity. I grabbed pizza to go so I could miss the weekend crowd. The pizza itself is perfectly thin and has an excellent, crispy base. The sauce is tasty and of very good quality. The standard pie features a thin layer of this delicious sauce topped with a toasty, greasy cheese that you can't get enough of. The square pizza has many of the same features but comes with a fluffier base/crust and more awesome sauce. I'm a fan of Angeloni's and would recommend it to anyone looking for a thin, crispy pizza!

Visited Angeloni's tonight for the second time after having a positive experience during my first visit in January 2020. We had a 6:00 reservation. We were seated immediately upon arrival. The service was not the friendliest throughout the meal and it was very slow. One of our three pizzas came out wrong. Most of the family was done eating by the time the corrected pizza came out. Another one of the pizzas was extremely dry and lacked flavor. Dessert was offered to us but reluctantly. We did order the zeppoles and the coconut cream pie and they were good. A dipping sauce for the zeppoles would make them even better. They add gratuity to the check for parties of 5 or more. I'm personally not a fan of this because it can allow for poor service since gratuity is already a guarantee. In our experience, this proved to be true. It's also important to note that this place is very crowded and the dining area is very loud. If you prefer a quiet, more intimate dining experience, avoid peak hours. Overall 3/5 stars.

Well, we have been searching for a thin crust pizza in North Jersey on par with Pete and Eldas in Neptune for some time. After reading the reviews, Angeloni’s appeared to be a promising prospect. Unfortunately, not even close. Let me say, this review may have been different with dine in, but if you can’t provide quality food for delivery, then don’t offer it… right? Pizza arrived 90 minutes after ordering, ice cold, hard as a rock and completely inedible… what more can I say.

Pizza is incredibly thing and incredibly delicious. Price is a little steep for a pie that can maybe feed one person due to the thinness, but you definitely are getting what you pay for. Good quality pizza. Also complimentary garlic knots and bread. Establishment is very clean and nice inside.

Small thin pizza that doesn't have much taste and is overpriced. Order extra pizza as two slices is equal to one normal slice, if that. Run by what looks like mostly high school kids and some were moving slow despite people waiting. Parking is also horrible... Go somewhere else if you want pizza...

We went to Angeloni's today and had a margherita pizza. Unfortunately, I can't give it more than three stars. The young kid that served us should not be a waiter until he is properly trained on how to greet people and be polite. He had all the class of a bull in a china shop. Let's leave it at that. The pizza itself was not great either. Too much sauce and not enough cheese and overcooked. The guy behind the counter might be the owner (or one of the owners), he was very polite and courteous. Unfortunately, there are much better places to get really good pizza so we won't be back there again.
