The food was amazing and so was the service. Can't wait to move here to try all the things on the menu. If your ever in Caldwell Idaho make sure you stop in and give it a try. Food and service were fabulous! I've been wanting to go here for some time because it always looks busy, and the Google Maps algorithm kept suggesting it. I was not disappointed! I get Cuban Sandwiches anytime I see them on a menu. The flavors were a great mix of all the right notes (including the jalapeño cheez whiz!), and the textures were spot on. I only wish we had a table further away from the front door as it was a cool and windy day. We got a blast of it every time someone entered or exited. We could have asked for another table, but they were very busy. Looking forward to going again!

The food was excellent. Service was great. We had shrimp and grits and fish and chips. Yummy. The restaurant isn't very big and incredibly loud. We were there during lunch hours. The food seems classier than the somewhat "cafeteria" style seating. We are not a fan of high ceilings in restaurants - they tend to be even louder than most restaurants. And kind of a bummer there were no booths. Next time we'd get take out, because the food is awesome!

You cannot beat the quality of food or service here! My whole family loves this place. The bartenders are amazing at their cocktails and servers are always friendly and quick! You can even grab their food to go! Fantastic restaurant in the heart of Caldwell!

I definitely recommend the fish and chips. Consistency in this town is hard to come by lately but these guys have it! Its nice to know that if I get the fish and chips next time they'll be the same as they were the last time. Fairly priced and clean. They get busy so if you plan on dining with more than a few people double check availability, otherwise the bar has great seating.

This place is so good. Even though it's quite the drive for me from Boise, it's one of my go-to's for delicious brunch and I always recommend it to my friends and family. All their menu items are very thoughtfully crafted. There really is something for everyone here! My favorite dish is the Spicy Thai Rice Bowl (thai sauce, white rice, radishes, carrots, daikon, crispy jalapenos, fresh cilantro, avocado, mint, cashews, lime) with chicken. There's a lot going on here, and everything mixes so well together. Each bite is a new experience! The crispy jalapenos are my favorite part. I don't find them very spicy, however I have a very high tolerance for spicy food. Another dish I frequently order is the Farro Salad. Not only does it taste amazing, but it's very unique. Again, there's a lot of ingredients that all go together deliciously. The farro is always cooked perfectly, and I love the addition of pomegranates. The kitchen is very accommodating in that you can easily substitute ingredients - I hate blue cheese, which is usually on this salad but I always sub feta. The balsamic vinaigrette is heavenly. As great as these dishes are, if you're dining for the first time I can't recommend the Bacon Jam Grilled Cheese enough! Someone in my group always gets this. It's delicious x 100. I highly recommend splurging an extra $2.00 for bacon or ham. Honorable mentions: The Chicken Alfredo is *chef's kiss*. The Grit Dip and Fried Chicken are also wonderful!

This was our first time here. We really enjoyed our visit. The staff checked on us throughout our time there. The atmosphere was very nice. It wasn't too really loud or too bright or dark. They also have a couple of tvs up on the walls if you want to watch some sports. The food was delicious. I substituted sourdough bread on my cheeseburger, and it didn't cost extra, awesome! My wife ordered the Turkey Club sandwich and said it was amazing! And the French fries were cooked just right. Grit 2C is somewhere I really recommend you try. We definitely will be going back.

Great place to dine in the heart of downtown Caldwell. Upscale experience & feel with reasonable prices. Service was great and happy with the food. I tried the Grit Dip that was recommended to me by the server and it was great for a dip sandwich. Food tasted fresh and presented very well.

Anytime we go there, they never disappoint. Highly recommend this place for a great meal!

Literaly one of the best resturants we have been to in sometime. Every staff was friendly and made the dinner enjoyable.... we let them decide our dessert for us... and it was the perfect seal on the meal... if you are looking for a great date night, do consider!

Came in for an early dinner at 4:30 on a Friday. The restaurant was pretty empty when we arrived but quickly got busier. Service was fairly prompt. Cocktail menu has some nice specials, the lavender fizz and raspberry gin and tonic were both hits. We also shared the fried cauliflower and asparagus which were crisp and delicious. For entrees we has the burger, the rock fish tacos and the cheesy grits and shrimp. All three were wonderful and would definitely be recommended. Service was a bit slow, but overall good. The major downside to the experience was the noise - between the high ceilings and the hard floor, the restaurant has a major echo and becomes extremely loud when full. We wrapped up our dinner quickly to get out of the noise. It was too loud for comfortable conversation. Food and drinks were good but I don't think we'll be back.

Good food...the crispy cauliflower and squash appetizer is a must (forgot to take a picture of that). The fish and chips I got could be improved. The service is great..our lady server was very pleasant. The place is fun but a bit loud for me. Will definitely come back and bring friends from 1A 😉. Will there be a Grit1A? 😁

Best steak I've paid money for. I've traveled extensively for work and eaten in some top end and top rated restaurants, some beloved local places, and even a few Michelin Starred locales. When I say "best steak I've paid money for" I'm using a very broad measure of comparison. My wife loved her meal. My nine-year-old loved her meal. Other guests enthused vigorously about their meals from the next table. The atmosphere was warm, the service was excellent, but THE FOOD. My God, the food. This is the best restaurant in Caldwell. Their plaza neighbors included. The next time we go down to Indian Creek Plaza, I can assure you it is Grit 2C that we look forward to visiting.

We ate dinner here for our anniversary. It was our first time here and we were a bit surprised. We made reservations which was great because we got seated as soon as we walked in. The table was all set up and waiting for us. It was pretty busy so the noise level was a bit much. It wasn't quite the intimate atmosphere we had envisioned. It was much more casual and industrial than we expected. Not a bad thing per se, just not what we expected having never been before. My husband ordered the ribeye and potato and I ordered the rockfish tacos. They both were very tasty. My husband felt like the plate needed a vegetable on the side to make it better but overall loved the meal. My tacos were delicious and I enjoyed the homemade seasoned tortilla chips too. The salsa that came with it was pretty pitiful. It was more like slightly seasoned tomato paste. Overall, we left pleased with our meal and would definitely come back again.

We had a group of 22 having dinner after our daughter had a quick marriage ceremony down by the creek. We had been to this restaurant a few times prior to this and had always been impressed, but after seeing how they handled our large party, I am beyond impressed. The tables were set up beautifully, our wait staff was incredible, and the food & drinks..WOW!!! Even with the rest of the place being busy and with our party, the quality of the food , drinks, and service were superb. Everyone had to-go boxes and later that night we all enjoyed our leftovers. Keep doing what you're doing GRIT and thank you so much for making our day, and our daughter and new son in laws day a wonderful success.

My son had the Grit Dip, I had the Bacon Jam Grilled Cheese (w/ham) and we shared the Poutine. Omigosh! The flavors! I really enjoyed the bacon jam and caramelized onions on my grilled cheese. The Dip had Chipotle Bacon Au Jus that was to die for. Go. Eat. Be happy.

Food was good. Poutine Fries delish. Happy hour is well drinks. I don't recommend those at all. Worst Margaritas I've ever had. Waiter was pushy to get us out even though there wasn't anyone waiting to be seated. I can see now why their Happy Hour isn't crowded. They will need to offer a better Happy hour menu before I return.

The margaritas were tasty but not anything special and definitely small. Food was good. My sandwich bread was falling apart in my hands which made it hard to enjoy. Had plenty of turkey. Wasn't offered a kids menu so pretty expensive for a 10yr old. My daughter brought in her hot chocolate and they made us throw it away which was disappointing. My friend really enjoyed her ribeye. Prices were fair for the high cost of eating out these days. Probably more on the higher side.

We have been a few times now and it has been great every time. I think their side salad with ranch is the best I've had at a restaurant. We've tried both of the tacos, pork belly burger, the Nashville, and I can't wait to try a few more things. Everything has been wonderful every time, and I'm so glad we have such a good restaurant so close to home. Definitely our go to place on Sundays!
